My 4-day stay made it clear that this was the best bargain I ever got in this city, where I have often made visits. It is an utterly unpretentious hotel, yet it is priced accordingly, and there is no hint of "going on the cheap". It has a perfectly accessible cafeteria and restaurant, and it is located across from a large park (so, little traffic), and two block from loads of restaurants of varying degree.
We were driving to Spain from UK and Pamplona is a perfect location for an overnight stop. Hotel is functional, clean, nice rooms, quiet safe area, restaurant food acceptable, staff were excellent. Receptionist lovely , friendly and helpful. bar/ restaurant guy same. Good value, recommended. Oh and we had our three dogs with us not a problem
We weren't able to find a hotel closer to the center so we ended up here. Parking wAs pretty eAsy but you need to take a taxi to the center it's about 2 miles away. There are restaurants nearby. Our AC stopped working and since it was on a Sunday nothing was done. The rooms are quite small for a family of 4. Staff very friendly but the hotel needs a makeover badly, specially the hallways. You get what you pay for.
We were travelling back to the UK and needed a hotel that could accommodate our dog. We booked through Booking.com, filtered all pet friendly hotels and found the Sancho Ramirez in Pamploma. It's well priced, we paid around 50 euros for a double room. It's opposite a huge park which of course is ideal if your trying to find somewhere to exercise your dog. It has a bar which we used to buy drinks and took them back to our room, we didn't eat at the hotel but it does have restaurant facilities. The rooms are clean, reasonably well furnished, nothing inspiring but comfortable all the same. The hardwood floors did leave it feeling slightly cold but if your offering accommodation for dogs and cats, I understand why they don't opt for carpets. We used this hotel on our return journey and also had a carpet less room. I therefore presume they are all the same. The staff are very friendly and speak English and there is parking directly opposite the hotel. It's free at weekends but a charge applies during other times. I paid around 4 euros overnight which is cheaper than taking the hotel offer of parking for 11 euros. Both times we had no problems with leaving our car overnight on the street parking area. I would definitely stop there again as it ticked all the boxes.
This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel, with a group of thirty or so football supporters from Mallorca. I was pleased to find that it had not changed much from last year.An excellent wi-fi system worked at all times.Contrary to another report I was not charged for this facility. Clean room with bath-shower with all facilities Air Con--Heating-etc .Alas the mini bar had one bottle of water. Not the end of the world.Room included extra blanket and wardrobe safe.Modern TV. Excellent view over the park ,which includes a planetarium (alas closed on Sundays).Breakfast excellent ,great variety strangely enough including scrambled egg and bacon.Fruit cereals and fresh local pastries in pleasant clean dining room.Menus of the day available fair choice at moderate rates.Did not partake, as Pamplona has so many restaurants with local produce it would of been a shame not to take advantage. The staff Reception and Restaurant were very helpful .on Summing up ,I found the hotel very pleasant and reasonably quiet for my stay. The Hotel is within easy distance of tourist centres San Fermin etc There is a sports centre within 150 m of the hotel. On a different note,if you like watching the marvelous contrails of high flying aircraft, bring your binoculars. The sky is criss crossed with these man made clouds,I can only ASSUME that its the arrival and departure from far off places of most aircraft, from all over the world..To be proved!!! Firstly the staff were lovely and friendly, very helpful with how to get around and where to go during the festival but the hotel itself was terrible. My room smelt absolutely terrible, I asked if I could be moved but being they were completely booked out so that wasn't an option. Woke up in the middle of the night with bed bugs bites all over my legs and arms which was just a terrible experience. Upon checkout you can leave your bags in a locked room but the key is given out to guests from the front desk and there is no check that you are taking only your bag so that was a little concerning. Nothing of mine was stolen but there didn't seem to be anything that would prevent it from happening.
We stayed at this hotel on the 6th July 2014. On arrival the receptionists were very welcoming and helpful. We had to meet with someone to be shown where our balcony was to see the bull run. The receptionist showed us exactly where to go and we were very grateful. We also ate in the restaurant. The bar and restaurant staff made us feel very welcome. Obviously it is a very busy time and the partying goes on throughout the night so we did not mind the bit of noise of people returning to their rooms especially after we had had a few glasses of wine. The room was clean and comfortable and ideally placed within 20 minutes walk to the centre of town. There is a good bus service but quite packed at this time of year so we used taxis which we found very reasonable. We found staff very good the only downside was that the lift had broken down and my husband has mobility problems. They were very apologetic but not much that they could have done as it was late in the evening. I would return again if visiting Pamplona.
Great location for the festival. It's a quick 10 minute bus ride to the town center, which means when you are ready to be done with all the festival activities, you can retreat to a safe, comfortable and quiet area of the city. Plenty of restaurants near the hotel within 2-3 minute walk and a nice park directly across the street. Room was comfortable and clean. The staff was outstanding. They went above and beyond the call of duty for a predicament we encountered, which could have ruined a great trip. I'll be back if and when I'm in Pamplona again.
seriously stayed there in August 2013 and must say that will not go back there again. it's not the room - that was clean and comfortable with plenty of wardrobe space and a bath in the bathroom, which I like. the airconditioning was a little noisy. However, the staff were not very forthcoming; only one member tried to communicate with us in broken English. The others seemed not to give a toss whether we understood or not. well, we didn't. At breakfast we seemed to be watched byt the waitress, who was most displeased and commentled on us taking 2 pears for later. Well, we basically had to put them back! We only had one breakfast there. We also dined in there once - tasty food, friendly staff this time, even though still no English :( but they stayed open for us until we left. The biggest joke was the fact that someone ate our chocolates from the mini bar. We reported at the reception that the fridge was super hot on the outside and didn't cool anything. So the engineer was sent while we were out. However, not only did he nott fix the problem (we disconnected the fidge), but after his visit our chocolates vanished. ????? we have no kids so it still remains a mystery as what happened to them. no matter. on a good note - apparently you get a free entry to a fitness centre 50m away from the hotel. on a negative side - car park is very expensive. One can, however, try to park outside on a pay and display place - much cheaper and free on Sunday and BH. all in all - an adequate hotel with a little stiff whiff.
Spacious room, comfortable and well appointed. Uninspiring location, but did the trick as we weren't staying long! Breakfast was poor value, with very little choice, but we think the staff had just been hijacked by a large party of Spanish pensioners who appeared to have eaten everything in sight! The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
