Shame that when you arrive at your hotel and in our case after a 7 hour drive you would like to be welcomed with a smile, it's free! Receptionist was abrupt and unfriendly. This was not the case on check out, different receptionist and friendly. Room large and appeared in good order however on closer inspection it was a bit tired. Dirty sealant around sink and cracked tiles. 20 mins walk into centre pleasant route in. Hotel in student area opposite park. Used secure parking but very tight for BMW. Dog friendly.
Visited Pamplona several times but first stay at Sancho Ramirez. A very good experience started with welcoming and helpful reception. Very good safe under cover parking. Our room was a good size and spotless. The twin beds were very comfortable. The shower was one of the best we have had. We decided to go into the city for the evening which is a 20 minute walk. We caught the bus from near the hotel. It was easy and €1.35 each way. We will definitely return. Highly recommend.
This hotel is within walking distance of the city centre (approx 20 minutes). It is clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly. We had a quadruple room which consisted of a double bed and a set of bunk beds. It was adequate due what we needed. There is a lovely park opposite.
I had a terrific time at the Sancho Ramirez Hotel in Pamplona, Spain. The hosts and owners were so accommodating during the San Fermin festival. While there I had the opportunity to attend a bull fight with the owner who took the time to explain with great detail and passion what was going on throughout. I received great recommendations, and suggestions for places to eat and visit while in Pamplona. When I return I will most certainly be staying in the Sancho Ramirez Hotel again!
Hotel had what you expect and some extras that made it one of my favorite hotels so far on my long vacation. Really appreciated having a balcony area in our room. This allowed us to do some hand washing of clothes. Something that is very necessary during the Festival! Internet: I give them 3/5. The download speed was good, but upload speed was really bad. Internet was pretty reliable though and only stopped working one time. One complaint: the faucet in the bathroom is way to close to the side of the sink. You can't get you hand under the faucet to get your hands wet. Maybe it was just our room #104... this felt like a mistake.
The hotel is great with excellent rooms, and if you're you traveling with dogs, then this is the perfect option! When we called to ask about their dog policy, they told us that they would be absolutely delighted to receive four-legged guests as well. No extra charge, no 'maximum one dog per room'-policy, and no 'only dogs under 20 kilos allowed'-policy. The staff at Sancho Ramirez welcomed us and our two greyhounds with a huge smile! The rooms are great, the beds big and confortable, and in front of the hotel you have a lovely park. The hotel doesn't look of much from the outside, but the rooms are good and clean and the price is reasonable. The historic center of Pamplona can easily be reached by foot (20 minute walk).
Loverly town with this hotel having the right lowcation to view the sights Hotel had all your needs at the right price with ita own parking Very good rooms with Bar and restrerant . A good stop over with all your needs if driving through Spain to France
My 4-day stay made it clear that this was the best bargain I ever got in this city, where I have often made visits. It is an utterly unpretentious hotel, yet it is priced accordingly, and there is no hint of "going on the cheap". It has a perfectly accessible cafeteria and restaurant, and it is located across from a large park (so, little traffic), and two block from loads of restaurants of varying degree.
We were driving to Spain from UK and Pamplona is a perfect location for an overnight stop. Hotel is functional, clean, nice rooms, quiet safe area, restaurant food acceptable, staff were excellent. Receptionist lovely , friendly and helpful. bar/ restaurant guy same. Good value, recommended. Oh and we had our three dogs with us not a problem
We weren't able to find a hotel closer to the center so we ended up here. Parking wAs pretty eAsy but you need to take a taxi to the center it's about 2 miles away. There are restaurants nearby. Our AC stopped working and since it was on a Sunday nothing was done. The rooms are quite small for a family of 4. Staff very friendly but the hotel needs a makeover badly, specially the hallways. You get what you pay for.
