To put it simple: We loved this place! It was peaceful, elegant and beautiful. It is located 20 minutes by walk from the city, but that was not a minus but a plus for us. Parking was easy. And the restaurant was excellent.
I live in a modern minimalist house, so the architectural style of this hotel worked well for me. The rooms are very spacious, and the concrete and wood finish is very stylish. Style does however triumph over substance in a few quirky ways. My first problem was finding the hotel from the car park. There are no signs. However, it’s a fair system, as there are virtually no signs to find the car park from the hotel. I did find it eventually, and had an interesting tour of the hotel and it’s grounds on the way. ( I was a chef, and the kitchens are fabulous by the way.) Now the James Bond bit. The fingerprint scanner for room access is a bit farcical. They could not read my fingerprint at reception, which is not a problem my iPhone has, despite the receptionist suggesting the problem was my finger! They did scan my wife’s fingerprints OK, but the door access lock failed to recognise it. Why not just settle for the key fob they give you in any case as they are obviously used to fingerprint failures. ( That also ignores the issue of leaving a fingerprint record at a hotel: a major potential security issue in these sad days of identity fraud: don’t scan you thumb.) That said, we loved it, and would look no further any time we are back in Pamplona.
I travel a lot with my current job and stay in lots of different hotels throughout Europe but I have to say that the Alma Pamplona was by far the best experience yet. Everything about the hotel was superb from the friendly check in to efficiency check out. The rooms are spectacular, very modern design and clean and very comfortable The food was excellent, the staff are super friendly and very competent. My first impressions of the hotel on arrival was not great but it was raining and cold and dark I checked out the facilities as a possible location for a future company meeting and they were amazing so I can’t wait to return with the whole team in the very near future I did provide positive feedback to the staff before I departed but felt compelled to write a shore note here so that others may enjoy this gem
Really happy with the stay. We went with a 3 young children and the hotel were really accommodating letting us all stay in the same room. The team there were very friendly and the value the was brilliant.
Second stay in the hotel, still perfection - our room is even better than the first time - everything is perfect from the room to the lobby. Even the parking is cool ;-) Nice 30min walk to the plaza del castillo, that could be the only négative point - but in fact the view is beautiful. there are some buses in burdala 5min walks from the hotel- taxi is 7dollars!
Hotel is very near the city just 10 minutes walk. Great efforts have been made to make this hotel a 5* modern Hi-Tec luxury resort. Unfortunately the workmanship of the making of the hotel is poor. You will see a lot of things in the hotel that have not been maintained. However the hotel has lots and lots of wonderful things to talk about. Breakfast was very good. The hotel is huge and reminds me of the Luxury hotels in Antaliya. Rooms are very comfortable well equiped and very big just like an appartment. There is very big open space, Swimming Pool, Saunna. The staff is very friendly and tries its best to pamper you.
This was our second visit to this lovely hotel and we have booked a third visit next August. We love everything about it and the rooms are so comfortable and gorgeous. Friendly, relaxed and fantastic service.
I strongly recommend this hotel. Rooms are extremely nice, the beds are wonderful, it is very easy to rest here. The staff is helpful and friendly. The restaurant is excellent, make sure to make reservations in advance. I particularly liked a walk from the hotel along the river to the Cathedral. It is a long walk but very easy and beautiful. This people really know their business and make you feel great. I am planning to stay here again .... and again.
We arrived after a long drive from the south of Spain. There was a delay when we presented our vouchers. 'Sir, these are for tomorrow.' It was entirely our mistake. But, in spite of the fact that the hotel was almost full with a wedding party, they changed the reservation without the slightest fuss and gave us an excellent room with no surcharge. The hotel itself is a mile or so out of the main centre of Pamplona, and, by the time we arrived, there was no chance to explore the fascinating city as we should have wanted to; but the comfort and friendliness of the hotel means that we are likely to return there in the future. The dinner was attentively served and not expensive (86 euros including a decent bottle of wine) and the breakfast was excellent. We look forward to returning on a day that we had actually booked for!
Nice hotel in Pamplona. Super friendly check in. Very modern and spacious rooms. Nice breakfast, bars...etc...and cannot comment. Within 20min walk you are in the heart of Pamplona. Recommend this hotel all day long.
