Good Things: Food, half of the personnel is nice, beach is clean. Bad: half of the personnel really rude. small pool and recreation area, old and not comfort facilities, room key was given and the room was not received from the previous guest.

Travelers have to be prepared. You should know some Spanish to get around in Panama so you are not taken advantage of. We booked our vacation time with Las Olas Beach Resort and we had a great time. The people that own the hotel live at the resort and speak English as do a lot of the staff. The menu of one of the restaurants we frequented had many good and healty choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And they had a bar with beer, wine and mixed drinks available. You can pay as you go or put your expenses on your room to be paid at the end of your stay. Please tip the staff in cash as often as you can. That's how they make a living. The resort has many activities available, just ask the front desk want you want and the price. They will set it up. The only thing we had an issue with was the beach. It has black sand. That's fine if you go to the beach first thing in the morning or late in the evening after the sun is gone. Even an overcast day is good. But once the sand has had time to sit in the sun, it is volcanic hot. You have to have shoes to walk on it. And the resort does have a nice pool to enjoy.

Could not sleep on hard bed. Shower wall needs cleaning. Good food. Friendly staff.
