Enjoyed our stay. We wanted something quiet, central and easy. This place was perfect for a 1 night stay. Pool is perfect place to relax without too may people. Location is walking distance to downtown area. Rooms are updated but still have the vintage style.

We really liked the architecture and pool area. The restaurant next door was outstanding.

Our stay was too short, but we will definitely be back.

Great hotel! Our room was spacious and bright. The pool area was quiet and so relaxing. Both Rose and Ivan were awesome!!!

The pool space is nice, but I think for what it costs there is a bit too much "character". It was just kinda dirty. Lots of scuffed furniture and seemed run down. I know it's an old hotel, and I am used to old buildings, but you have to keep them up. We also stayed there during spring break, so I'll give them a bit of credit, its a busy time of year but, we won't be coming back.

The hotel has much to be desired. Let's start with the good. The hotel has a wonderful history. The pool and grounds are maintained fairly well with plenty of seating and umbrellas. The staff is super friendly, professional, and polite. The location is amazing for walking around downtown to shops and restaurants. I felt very safe in the area walking especially at night. It's very very quiet at night. The bed was comfortable and the room smelled good. OK, let's talk about the issues. The room, although cute, retro, and trendy, was mildly disgusting. Especially the bathroom. I can overlook gunk in the corners, banged up and scratched nightstands, sticky doors, or lots of scale on the showerhead with rust on a towel bar, but what I can't tolerate are cockroaches. YES, you read right, there was a cockroach in the bathroom. A BIG ONE! I called the number for staff at night and they did apologize and sent someone over to help remove the pest. It's an old hotel in the desert in CA... I'm sure it's happened to the best of hotels, right? I don't know, call me crazy, but for the amount of money I spent for a hotel stay, I sort of had higher expectations with the accommodations being cleaner, fresher, well maintained. If I stay and sleep somewhere less clean or more poorly maintained than my own home, I think that is disappointing. I hate to say that I was 'slumming it' but I felt as though I was doing just that. Sad. If you can overlook crusty, rusty, banged-up hotel room stays, then I

Do not book the cheapest room in this hotel. I had the choice of paying $129 or $139, little did I know the difference in rooms. I got the $129 room because it looked fine in the pictures, when I got there I found out it’s all by itself outside of the hotel and you were facing a busy intersection with people walking back-and-forth in front of your room. I seriously thought I was being punished for getting the cheapest room the whole time I was there, such an awful experience and the ultimate price was around for $500 for two nights with taxes fees resort fees and cost after I checked out. I was so irritated with this hotel I will never stay here again even if I have the best room available.

We were very pleased. Very clean and quiet. With in walking distance to everything. The Hotel was darling. Just loved the atmosphere. We will definitely go back.

Great location. Great Palm Springs character. Make sure to get a room by the pool.

We only stayed overnight, but it is a very special place. Great location. We loved the vibe. We also enjoyed the happy hour.

This place was authentic in every way. From the friendly and very helpful staff, to the beautiful breakfast some afternoon cocktail party everything was very well executed. Our room was very clean, but as to be expected with an older property there were some very minor repairs that need to be made. That’s the only issue we have time we were there. If you want a truly original Palm Springs experience

I loved the building, grounds, room, and the history of hotel. We got to know some other travelers at the breakfasts and happy hours, which made the vacation very special.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and our room was clean and bright. We enjoyed the breakfast and happy hour offered each day and the pool area was well maintained and very pleasant. Due to the great location of the Del Marcos we were able to walk into town and not worry about parking.

Very nice small hotel, a great value. The all adult theme and a rule against cell phones by the pool made the stay more enjoyable.

We're sorry to hear we didn't meet your expectations. We go through all our furniture at the end of the season and repair/replace as needed. We also go through the entire property in an effort to get it all in tip top condition.

Glad to hear you loved the pool, grounds, the safe and convenient location and our friendly staff. We work hard to maintain a beloved historic landmark and have been rewarded with 20 years of largely very positive reviews and repeat guests. That said, if you were dissatisfied with your room we wish you had told us so we could immediately move you to another room or provide a full refund and assistance finding other accommodations. We would never want a guest to stay two more nights in a room not to their liking.

We're sorry to hear we didn't meet your expectations. We have 5 different room types and all are unique in their own ways. The room type you booked has several rooms in that type and we would have been happy to move you to one of the others if it was not to your liking.
