Alongside the Port just beside the Kalsa stands this tasteful 1980s build - with excellent service standards, good clean and air conditioned rooms, a good kitchen if you dont want to explore the many fine fish restaurants and Pizzerias just down the road - Piazza Marina and along the road towards Porta Felice. With a well looked after pool there is a quick refresh available to you after a busy days sight seeing or meetings. Quiet and safe location with a taxi pretty much constantly available. This is a great stop for anyone wanting to explore the older quarters of Palermo
We first stayed at a NH Hotel in Barcelona a few years back! OUTSTANDING! Here was JUST A GREAT ! Cosimo & Gaspar on the front desk took GREAT CARE of us especially since it was our 20th wedding anniversary! Thank you Cosimo & Gaspar! We LOVED our stay and it was the best hotel we started out from Rome, to Sicily, to Malta ! You will NOT be disappointed! We were facing the ocean and never heard too much noise and it was very easy to walk to great tourist spots and restaurants!
This hotel is very well located. You can walk to most the tourist places from here. It has lots of nice restaurants nearby. The hotel is modern The rooms are a bit impersonal - first hotel room where there was no painting or prints on the wall The staff too are a little impersonal, cordial enough but not as warm and welcoming as we experienced elsewhere in Sicily The hotel has a lovely pool and an amazing attendant who continuously cleaned and tidied up and served a melon/ lemon sorbet/ slushie at the hottest parts of the afternoon You can get drinks serves and there is a patio sitting area where snacks and cocktails can be obtained The breakfast are really good - a huge buffet of wonderful fruits, cakes, breads, cereals and cooked items It is worth sitting outside under an awning looking over the beautiful gardens We enjoyed our stay here particularly because of the pool
The location was great for us- with nice seaview of the port, near the Botanical Gardens, short walk to many traditional restaurants and the old port (La Cala) and the Old Town. However, the seaview rooms with small balconies were over a very busy dual carriageway which was extremely noisy day and night. The double glazing cut a lot of the traffic noise, but as we like to sleep with window opened, it was a nightmare. Rooms over the very pleasant pool area, with lovely mature trees and always clean and well kept, have no balcony, neither the ones at the back overlooking the lovely courtyard and old Pope's Palace. Menu is restricted- buffet breakfast with a lot of choice. Pleasant staff- but unfortunately no tourist information whatsoever in reception, apart from a simple map handed out on arrival- they seem to cater more for business conferences or Tour companies.
I was traveling with my best friend for a weekend to Palermo. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. We had just one set of towels and called the reception. Within three minutes they were knocking the door with another set and excused. The breakfast was good, too. I would definitely stay there again. By the way, the bar tender was gorgeous.
the Hotel is very well located and the staff is very nice and friendly. the room is very quiet and it's a real relief to avoid the pounding noise of the city center. You can find very nice restaurants in the surroundings and if you have any question, the staff is always available to help you.
Hotel is located about 500 mtrs walking distance to main streets where eating places and traditional buildings are located. It is a summer hotel with a silent garden and pool at the back. Breakfeast was satisfactory and room was clean with satisfactory comfort. Bad thing is that while walking from hotel to mainstreets there are many beggars, the walk to main streets at night time does not seem very safe. Therefore you do not feel comfortable in leaving your car outside the hotel and have to leave it to private parking which cost 11 euros per day.
I have just stayed one week in a junior suite at NH Hotel Palermo together with my girlfrind and one of myt friends and I liked this hotel. The hotel staff are very friendly. After 4 days we had a problem with the toilet but in a very quick and efficient manner the reception manager made it possible to move to the suite next door. The new room was even better than the first so that was a good experience. My girlfriend had trouble with the new madras as it was a bit harder - that was no problem - the hotel staff just switched madrasses and then the madras was perfect! The restaurant is also a visit worth - I had the best mushroom risotto ever - it was not on the menu but the restaurant seems to be able to cook anything you like!
It was Easter so usual places were booked out. Though location is not bad if you are planning on walking around old Palermo, and it is near the ocean; the noise of the two highways means lying by the pool and opening your window becomes unbearable. The room service is terrible ... we thought their basic pasta would at least be room service Italian style! It is about 15 mins away from central Palermo. The reception will book you dinner reservations but don't expect concierge service especially if you cannot speak Italian. The rooms are small, clean and have the basics. But for the price, this place is overpriced.
this is a nice hotel, perfectly located at the sea side. Not far from the downtown. Parking is a little bit tricky, because some suspicious guys ask you about “keeping an eye” on your car. Food is good.
