This hotel is a nice addition to Northfield, MN. My only complaint is that the room was not cleaned and we were there for two nights.

Stop on way to Michigan from CA. New hotel, good pet area. Location close to downtown, walkable. College area, but quiet. Very clean and covered parking underground. Breakfast excellent, area clean.

A convenient location for parents of Carleton College or St. Olaf but be careful when you stay. If it is Minnesota Boy's Hockey Weekend expect hordes of poorly supervised boys whose parents are unable to do so as they are so, so busy socializing in the bar/restaurant. You will be treated to boys running up and down the halls playing hockey with pucks whizzing through the air. Watch out or you'll be hit with a puck -- plastic, but it still hurts. The noise is unrelenting. The restaurant will not be available nor the pool or fitness center due to the hundreds of children all competing for the cinnamon rolls or two working treadmills. The staff is too overwhelmed or timid to intervene. A parent was overheard in the elevator expressing dismay when a guest asked him to please intervene with his children regarding the noise level. He said, "Well, it's Boy's Hockey Weekend!" Sure it is. But, people also have paid to stay in a comfortable, quiet hotel too. Grossly inconsiderate. And, we wonder why children are dreadfully behaved these days. Never again!
