Wedding weekend

Our nephew got married last weekend so 14 of us, coming from all over the country, wanted to spend the weekend together. Creekside Lodge was the perfect property for us to rent. Super private. We played lots of family games - both inside and outside. The field was perfect for kickball and volleyball. The dining room table was perfect for playing hearts and spades. Air hockey in the basement is awesome! The bedrooms were in good shape and so was the kitchen. There are plenty of places to sit and visit outside .Heads up - there is no outdoor grill at this property. Also, the pond was very low, despite record rainfall just a few days earlier. Neither one of those issues was a deal-breaker for us.

Nice Stay

We stayed here while visiting family. Overall, it was a nice experience and I would stay here again. The property does need a little TLC, especially outside. A step from the deck down to the yard was broken, which is a safety concern. Down by the pond, a step on the dock was also broken. All the seating outside could use a good scrub and seemed very much an afterthought at the fire pit and dock. Missed opportunity, please add more towel racks in the bathroom downstairs. Love the fact that the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking tools. Grill had a mouse living in it so we didn't grill.

Wish we had stayed longer to enjoy everything, close to town but feels like you are in the country, fun basement, enjoyed the fire pit and outdoor string lights. Worked great for our family!

Great house for golf trip

Our group of 8 stayed at this beautiful house for a weekend to golf at a couple courses. The house location was perfect. House set up was perfect. Communicating with manager was responsive. Would stay here again.

Talk about a retreat

We stayed with two other couples and seven young children between us and there was more than enough space, inside and out. We were within 30 minutes of downtown kids activities but it really felt like we were out in the country. (And still within 10 minutes of Walmart) We have it saved and hope to stay again!

Amazing!

Arrived in town for our son’s wedding and the location and property were perfect! Very spacious and comfortable. Kristen is very responsive and answers all questions in a very short time. My only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer!! We will absolutely book this property again.

Amazingly Spacious VRBO

This VRBO was spacious enough for three families and we spent a lot of time watching the Olympics, playing games, playing air Hockey and Wii golf in the basement. We loved the water park in Lenexa and going to a Royals game. So close to everything that we wanted to do! We hope to return in the Fall.

Amazing home

I love how this home was secluded but yet so close to anything we needed! The home was beautiful, clean, and so roomy for our big family to enjoy and not be on top of one another! Definitely would suggest this home to a big family!

12U Softball Nationals

The home was beautiful and spacious for our group! We were in town for the weekend because of the 12U softball tournament. It was a rainy weekend so we didn’t get to utilize the outside portion as much as we would like but the home had adequate space and was equipped with all the necessities in the kitchen to prepare meals. You can see the peaceful views of the backyard through giant windows in the living room. Downstairs the girls stayed in a room with double beds so they were able to have a fun slumber party experience. They enjoyed playing air hockey and relaxing downstairs on the huge sectional. Our daughter hit her first home run this weekend also! We loved our stay and making memories here!

Disappointed

When we checked in, we found down by the pond a complete mess of trash and beer, cans and trash cans spilled over. It was a horrible mess and the smell was like someone had a keg party. At the house, the trash cans were full, and the smell was unbearable. There were flies and bees, all around the front of the house because of the trash. One of the trash cans was filled with a layer of maggots with something that had rotten. The inside of the house had some funky smells like bad fish… Big black ants were all over the place. We washed our sheets because we found the longest black hairs in the bed. We had our family there with kids and 80-year-old grandparents and it was unbearable. We stayed tonight but finally left a full day and a half early. Communication was sorry, but they could not do anything about it until the next week which did nothing for us. After we left they Us for the night we did not stay and gave us a $100 refund. Incredibly disappointed that someone did not come out to take care of the trash in the beer, cans and deal with the mess that we arrived with. Giving us a refund for the night that we did not stay with $100 seems like a far cry for what we paid for. At least for us… We will never use this place and group again. The experience was horrible.
