I had a single room, that was very well priced; cheaper than any chain hotel in Los Angeles where I live. Who says that Switzerland is expensive?! The front desk staff was welcoming and friendly and eager to speak English to non French speakers. The hotel lobby was modern as is the whole hotel. The room was quiet and very modern with a fridge and plenty of electrical outlets to charge phone, camera etc. I did not have breakfast at the hotel as there was a quaint little café close by. The train station is a very short walks as is the subway, but away from all the noise and traffic. The parking actually features a car elevator that was in typical Swiss fashion high tech and one barely noticed that it moved. I will stay there again and have not complaints, just praises.
Our room was so comfy and the decor was cool and quirky. There was an odd sliding door system between the sleeping area and the shower area so it was a bit of a puzzle trying to get some privacy while you shower, but all in all we had a fantastic time. Lausanne was so quiet when we went but during breakfast (on the top floor) the views of the Alps are incredible. The train station and metro are so close to the hotel so you can go for trips to other parts of the city or Switzerland really easily.
Nice hotel overall, although it can't really compete in my opinion with its bigger cousin, the Alpha Palmiers. Very clean, fitness room and bedrooms are large enough. The whole hotel possesses a certain attention to swiss-oriented detail and internal design, which definitely capture and please the eye. However, some are extravagant, like having the sink in the main room and not the bathroom (I personally do not like that). Staff is very cordial and professional; moreover, from the breakfast area on the last floor you can enjoy a spectacular view on Lake Geneva, although the breakfast per se is not that variegated. To conclude, it is located at a 3 minutes walking distance from the station and 1 from the metro line.
We spent three nights at this hotel. The staff were most friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The venue was ideally located between the old city and the lake. Our guest card allowed us free public transport within the city, the great advantage was being able to use the funicular to access the lake.
This was an interesting hotel, very nice stuff , clean , with the most outstanding view of Lausanne from their breakfast restaurant. It is really worth a visit . They have also a fitness and spa area very modern , superb design , with new equipment.
Very highly recommend - lovely clean, quirky and fashionable hotel right in the heart of Lausanne. We upgraded our room for not much more which was definitely worth it, the room was a good size and the bathroom lovely. Although the breakfast is expensive definitely recommend it - great selection and the view of the mountains is spectacular.
Just five minute walk from Lausanne station, hotel is modern clean and comfortable. The hotel is quite quirky in its layout, in our room the bathroom was like a glass box which was a bit strange, but it was ok. There is free wifi which was ok for our needs, you can also get travel pass for local transport but as we were only staying one night we didn't bother with it. Breakfast was included on the top floor, buffet style but plenty of choices to suit us. There are views out to the lake, unfortunately too misty on the day we were there. Would certainly consider staying here again if in Lausanne.
Superbly located minutes from the train station. The hotel also offers a complimentary travel pass for the duration of your stay, to use on the public transport. The metro stop is at the end of the street and there are two lines; one to the lake and one to the town. WiFi in the hotel, certainly on my floor (2nd floor) was terrible, it simply didn’t work so I had to use 4G. Reception staff extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. I had a single room which was just a good size for one person. Major issue with the design of the toilet and shower as in my room, it faced next to the bed, in an open plan fashion and offered next to no privacy whatsoever. Perhaps other rooms do offer a higher level of privacy. I also couldn’t get the heating to work properly in my room but as I was only staying the one night, I didn’t make much of a fuss about it. The price paid was reasonable. Would stay here again.
We stayed here for 3 nights with our 5 year old grandson. BEWARE if you also plan to take a child under 13. We made this booking on the basis of 2 adults & a child but when shown our room it only had a double bed. We were told this is because children under 13 are expected to sleep with the adults!! However, on complaining that we had booked a room for 3 the staff did agree to prepare a temporary 'bed' on the floor for our grandson. This proved to be adequate and he slept well. Overall the room was good and the breakfast exceptional with absolutely stunning views over Lake Geneva from their breakfast room/restaurant. Would I book here again... yes I would because we were well looked after but I do think it is devious to give the impression of a room for 3 when all are expected to share one bed.
We were allotted a very spacious room with an interesting layout. They had kitchenette facilities however those were disabled for us. Having been at a walkable distance from the station was very helpful, but being stuck during the storm Emeanour gave us little chance to loiter around. Luckily the metro station to go to the Lake too was nearby. Only problem was bad WiFi- that we suppose becase of the room position. Another area to improve is to have more First aid stock. We needed and somehow could adjust with whatever was with them. Otherwise, it was a great place to revisit.
