I stayed at this property in April with two nieces and a nephew. I should have posted a review sooner but since I know I procrastinate I took notes. I will start with the positive things about the Lexington. I liked the bedspreads. They were light, bright white and clean. The beds were very comfortable. As stated in other reviews it was a nice quiet place. The towels were fluffy and smelled good. The shower was good and I especially love that they give you two bath mats. The shower liner appeared to be new and the products they provide for you are Rusk which is a very good professional brand. The people that work there were all extremely nice and helpful. The breakfast had a nice selection. My nieces and nephew especially enjoyed it. There was a large selection of breakfast drinks too. The fruit was fresh and good. Everything was plentiful and the lady on staff was taking care to keep all the food at the proper temperature and refilled. The overall atmosphere there feels very homey and almost family-like. The price to stay here cannot be beat. The location was fine. Now on to the negatives. We stayed there four nights and the spa was out of order the entire time. My nieces and nephew enjoyed the pool and the pool area seemed to be clean but I personally would not have gotten into the water. I'm a little weird about clean water and I'm not sure that their's was up to my standard. Housekeeping did not vacuum the carpeting in our room once during our stay which was unfortunate since the children had snacks and there were crumbs. I noticed too that the hallways and public areas were evidently not vacuumed on a regular basis. Overall I feel like it is a very nice property that just needs a little more care. It did seem as if they were understaffed although the staff that was there did manage to take regular smoke breaks directly in front of the entrance. We would stay here again because the positives outweigh the negatives.
I called that morning to find out if they had an indoor pool and was told they did. When I arrived there was a big sign saying the pool was closed. My room was awful. It smelled of mold and in fact had mold in the shower. Now I'm on antibiotics. The room was also filthy
The room was clean, the bed okay, and the hallway quiet. Everything was fine until I tried to take a shower. The SHOWER DIDN'T WORK! No water would come out, and I tried everything. I reported it to the front desk. The second day, the shower STILL didn't work. Obviously it didn't seem important to them. As for breakfast, hard little rolls and a blase, unappetizing menu.
Several disappointments. Of course I chose here because of the indoor pool and the price was very good for one night! No notes on the website about the pool being closed or I wouldn't have booked my room there. They did offer that I could drive to a "sister" hotel on the other side of the city to swim if I wanted to. Who wants to drive to the opposite side of the city to swim after driving five hours? I just dealt with it. Room appeared clean, bed fairly comfortable.....but the microwave didn't work unless I held the power strip up from the backside of the stand it was hanging from. I would say there was a short in the wiring? Ya think? Then the hairdryer wouldn't turn on. I tried it several times and got it to work once. For about 60 seconds and then it went off. I would say they need a really good maintenance employee there. The free continental breakfast was pretty good. The Lady working in the kitchen worked hard to keep everything fresh and filled up. And the front desk person on check out was very apologetic and took notes about my findings in the room. Whether they fix it or not, who knows. I really really missed swimming though. I would recommend you call and ask if their pool is open. It looked fine from the windows. Quite a let down.
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. I was not the one who chose this hotel, and was really wary with it after reading the reviews. When we arrived (a Wednesday night) there was a lot of activity in the parking lot. Groups of people seemed to be just hanging out. We were given a room on the first floor right beside the pool. The lady who checked us in was reserved, not rude yet not typical friendly reception. Our room- It smelled horrible. Like pool mixed with mold mixed with an ashtray. There actually was a spot on the bathroom ceiling of where mold appeared to once be but washed off. The carpet was old, and it was very obvious that it was not very well cleaned (remote needs a good cleaning, and bath tub mat.) I checked for bed bugs though and it was in the clear so we stayed. The only bugs we saw (in comment of another reviewers post) were on the 3rd day some dead ants and 1-2 living stragglers by the door. The beds are very firm. And surprisingly we heard nothing from other rooms around us which was very nice!! Breakfast was the same each day. With an exception of the last day the waffle maker was not able to work do to the plugs not working. I had read a review about the sausage being good, and it was. Had typical continental breakfast items, yogurt, apple, oranges, bananas, scrambled eggs, bacon, cereal, muffins/bagel/etc, hard boiled eggs. Each morning it was never crowded. All in all, the low price helped me choose 3 stars. If it would have been any more than $65 a night, I would not have rated it so high. On our last night, there was a man working at the reception desk who was very nice and professional. The other staff always seemed to be running outside the front door to smoke. We kept the do not disturb on our door the whole stay so I do not know if house keeping would or would not have came like a few other reviews complained about. I would not let my 2 teenage daughters that were with me go to the pool because there were grown men in there drinking alcohol.
Stayed here a few days on a business trip. Hotel is clean and staff is friendly. Dylan is a Rockstar, he recommended some amazing restaurants that were fantastic, take his advice!! Located just off the highway and a short 8mins from downtown.
This facility took us by surprise. The rooms were large, clean and quiet, with all of the amenities that one would expect in a mid-range. The surprise came at breakfast. The sausage was far and away the best I have ever had on the road, and reason enough to stay here again. All in all, great value for the money.
Signed up for a suite and was given a lesser room. Our room had no smoke detector and had mold growing along the baseboards and along the tiles in the shower. Manager didn't realize we were in the wrong room until later that night. She did refund the difference. Our room was above the swimming pool and had a terrible smell of chlorine,I mentioned it to the managers we checked out and she said no one ever complained before, hard to believe.by 7 am they were out of waffle batter. This was my third stay at this hotel, and will be my last.
I will never stay there again. The service they said was not available. I stayed there because of the heated pool and it was broken. The pillows were horrible it had little balls and tiny. They never cleaned our room for 3 days, I spoke to the front and they said they would call the head house keeper which I know no one is there at night just 1 person.
This place was clean but dated. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was wonderful. We would stay here again. My only con is it could have been priced a little lower for being outdated. Overall a good stay
