They did not have any coffee for breakfast or at any time the 2 days I was there. Why couldn't they go to the grocery store for a few cans and make the coffee? They did not empty trash cans while I was there. Not a good experience!

I believe there is a need for better customer information about the hotel . The main reason we booked the room was for the pool and spa and no one bothered to call to let us know or email that the facilities did not work.

Arrived after having this booked for over a month. Received at least 3 e mails reminding me of my stay. When I arrived I see a sign on the check in desk "Pool and spa not operating" The nice lady at the counter said they were sorry . I ask for a discount since not all the amenities were usable. She said she had asked her Manager several times and he stated there was a sign on the desk to inform guest so "NO" the room would not be discounted..I wonder why was I not informed of this in the several e mails I received before arriving? I left and went to the Super 8 59 yards away, and got a king room for $9.00 less per night, and their pool and spa did work. I stayed 4 nights.

Room was a little pricey book room at the last minute for the price I paid they should have had cable TV did not have cable or a DVD player in the room overall the room was okay pool was closed could not use pool but breakfast at hotel was good overall staff was good would stay there again but I'll make sure I book ahead of time to get a better price than what I paid overall is a good hotel

I didn't have unrealistic expectations for this place, and that was a good thing. It's a basic place to stay (since our first two choices were already fully booked.). The room was clean and the staff friendly. But, much of staff seem very young and oblivious of how their appeared to guests. The cleaning staff woke us several mornings in a row talking SO loudly outside our door, I was startled. We had to request they empty the trash cans outside the side doors because they were overflowing with trash mounding ontop of them. Even though the property is non-smoking, the staff regularly smoked outside the front door! Not very professional. We were not informed the pool and hot tub were out of order, although the facilities for both seemed nice. Their free WiFi is fast and works well, but if you're on AT&T, there is NO cell service in the building. You have to go out the front door to get a signal. Otherwise, it was a fairly pleasant stay.

Had stayed here 9 nights with my boyfriend. Some days they would clean really well while others werent to good. Quiet room. They accommodated well to our keys not working most nights. Well priced for the long stay too. Would stay again if needed.

My room was clean and the ac worked fine to keep me nice and cool. The cost of this room compared to other hotels in the area was about half the cost which is why I decided to give it a try. The included breakfast was very good and it was open at 4:00 a.m.

It was a very nice stay and I enjoyed my time her and it was worth my travel to Iowa and the service is very good and so is everything else you guys had to offer and I would come back in due time and that about it

We enjoyed our stay. Great value, quiet and excellent breakfast. Front desk was very nice. My girls enjoyed the pool and we all had a great night of sleep! We would stay again if we find ourself out that way in the future.

I stayed at this property in April with two nieces and a nephew. I should have posted a review sooner but since I know I procrastinate I took notes. I will start with the positive things about the Lexington. I liked the bedspreads. They were light, bright white and clean. The beds were very comfortable. As stated in other reviews it was a nice quiet place. The towels were fluffy and smelled good. The shower was good and I especially love that they give you two bath mats. The shower liner appeared to be new and the products they provide for you are Rusk which is a very good professional brand. The people that work there were all extremely nice and helpful. The breakfast had a nice selection. My nieces and nephew especially enjoyed it. There was a large selection of breakfast drinks too. The fruit was fresh and good. Everything was plentiful and the lady on staff was taking care to keep all the food at the proper temperature and refilled. The overall atmosphere there feels very homey and almost family-like. The price to stay here cannot be beat. The location was fine. Now on to the negatives. We stayed there four nights and the spa was out of order the entire time. My nieces and nephew enjoyed the pool and the pool area seemed to be clean but I personally would not have gotten into the water. I'm a little weird about clean water and I'm not sure that their's was up to my standard. Housekeeping did not vacuum the carpeting in our room once during our stay which was unfortunate since the children had snacks and there were crumbs. I noticed too that the hallways and public areas were evidently not vacuumed on a regular basis. Overall I feel like it is a very nice property that just needs a little more care. It did seem as if they were understaffed although the staff that was there did manage to take regular smoke breaks directly in front of the entrance. We would stay here again because the positives outweigh the negatives.
