The location is very good. 3-4 mins walk to the Train Station. Lots of restaurants downstairs. The bad part is that the Hotel smells like cigarettes everywhere. The elevators, lobby and the Rooms stink of smoke. We had to request a clean up in our room after we checked in. The staff is very polite and helpful but the smokey smell kills it all!
First of all, the staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful during our stay. The location is great too--just a few minutes walk to Dotonburi. As it's located within a busy shopping arcade, I worried our room would be noisy at night time, but it wasn't. There were two drawbacks for me. The rooms don't feel like they're well taken care of. The walls were full of big dents, black marks and scratches. It just gives you the feeling like you're staying in a dingy hotel. (Photos attached) The other drawback was the laundry. It was a long trip for us, which meant we had to do laundry a few times. They have one washer/dryer on one floor, and another set on the floor above. I needed to do two loads, so I had to run back and forth between my floor and the two other floors. If I could use the stairs, it wouldn't have been as much of a hassle, but the stairwell doors are armed. Neither dryer seemed to work at all. I had to go back to the front desk to get more change so that I could run the dryer a second time to dry my clothes. This additional 30 minutes was frustrating as the last thing you want during your vacation is to be stuck inside doing laundry for hours. I wished they had a laundry room instead, so there was less running around, and dryers that actually worked properly. My clothes were still very damp after the first round through the dryer cycle. Our bathroom did not have one of those strings you can pull out and retract in the shower to hang up your wet clothes. This would have been a huge help. After two rounds of drying, my clothes were still damp but other than the few hangers in the closet, and the shower curtain bar, there was nowhere to hang my damp clothes. So, I'd highly recommend the hotel get clothes dryers that actually work, put them in one place, and add retractable clotheslines to the rooms.
We stayed here for 6 nights, one of the best features is the location, it's near Lawson , McDonald, shops , Resto and Bic Camera store. - 5 mins walked coming from the namba train station to the hotel. The room though is small but comfortable and clean, what is bad here , most of the TV channels are local Japanese, there's no foreign or English Channel like CNN . Moreso Free Wifi here is terrible keeps on disconnecting... I suggest rent a mobile wifi instead. Hotel price is abit pricey!
Well-located in the buzzing area of the streets filled of shops and great eateries. Clean and nice rooms and good toiletries and facilities. Service of the front-desk are great and friendly. Wish to stay longer to explore Dotonbori more.
We stayed here for 4 nights. Even if we arrived late at night, the front officer was still really nice and well prepared for us. The room was very clean and bathroom was comfortable with bath accessories. Great location too.
Well located hotel right at Dotonbori for seeing the sights of Osaka. Great for food also. Generally helpful staff and clean hotel. Easy to access by public transport. We were there in January 2016. Just avoid the basement where all the cigarettes and pinball machines are.
This hotel is conveniently located in the popular namba food complex. You will never run out of food. There are lots of shops around too. Hotel room is clean. But nothing special. The lifts have strong smell of cigarettes. Overall this hotel is over priced in my opinion.
This hotel is in a great location. There are a lot of restaurants and malls within walking distance. It is also very near Bic Camera which one big electronics store. The Namba metro station is only a 5 minute walk away. The rooms although on the small side are very confortable and has good sound insulation. The bathroom again although on the small are have complete amenities. Just don't plan to spend the whole day in the room just watching TV because most of the channels are local (Japanese) channels. Also the rooms have a very limited view mostly of the nearby buildings. But this is made up by the nice patio on the 4th floor. The breakfast buffet is good but only has limited food choices. I would definitely stay here again if I go back to Osaka.
Very accessible from Kansai airport via airport train to Namba station and 10 min walk to the hotel. Hotel website very useful with directions and photo from namba station to hotel. Many restaurants and shopping right outside and close by the hotel. Don Quixote the 24 hour store is two mins aways and kuromon market is behind the hotel where u can buy vacuum packed steaks to bring home. Front office very helpful. Subway station also close by to go to osaka castle n to kintetsu line for nara and jr line to kyoto. Best place for me.
You choose this hotel because of its location. Not the service (it is the usual non-fussed service), not for luxury and certainly not for the price (at least during peak season). ...erm... I didn't know that Osaka also gets to have peak season. Not compared to Kyoto at least. So well, I ended up in Osaka again after my round in Kyoto for the autumn leaf period and compared to the same time three years ago, the hotels in Osaka are literally charging crazy prices now. I knew how this hotel looked like from pictures and was fine with it. I only hoped that there wouldn't be smoke smell in the lobby and room (this was a major complain before). I'm really happy to report that there's no smell during the period we stayed. The room we had should be the newly furnished ones and looked acceptable. The great strength of this place and the only reason I chose it, is its location. You literally step out to thousands of shops and restaurants. You can't get any closer. Everything of this hotel gets an average from me but it gets a 5 for its location and 2 for price during peak. If the price is acceptable the next time I swing by this city, and depending on what some others are offering, I may or may not stay again.
