Namba Oriental Hotel

Osaka Namba always a compact city life with shops, restaurants, bar, massages, "octopus balls" centre, fresh food market.... Room are just make for family of 3 with extra bed. Luckily, it is not noisy at all as we are staying on level 7. Robust area but with good service housekeeping staff, always nice, polite and respectful, everything is done for profession. Once you are back to the hotel, you feel everything slow down and calm when walking along the room corridor. they did it nicely! Well done. Complaint : no trees around here.......just kidding!😂

I was happy with my stay at this hotel. Shops and restaurant right around the corner The room was good enough for 2. There was no Iron board as well as iron at this hotel (this was not a big deal for me). This hotel would loan guest Yukata for free of charge if you would to try it out then check with front desk.

when we search from the internet about this hotel, for us the location is surrounded by many shop market and games. we love the hotel because the room was clean and quiet big among others and close to many fast food restaurant. staff was helpful and we enjoy with the room with three bedroom and still have sofa.

From the title, I think you should know by now that I'm very happy with my stay. This is probably I was in Osaka for vacation and this hotel happen to be in the best location. It's situated withing a shopping area (just take the elevator down and it's there). There's a convenient next to the hotel entrance and lots of restaurant around. The Nankai-line rapid express train will take you directly to Namba station which is 3 mins away from the hotel. The hotel is also within 3-5 mins walk to Nippombashi station which is also connected to JR lines.

The room of the hotel is not bad. It is large enough and provides enough outlet for me to charge my phone and other electronic devices. Staffs are nice. Breakfast is provided on the second floor and there are plenty choices for me to eat. Moreover, the hotel is located at a very busy shopping street so that I can buy things easily if I want to. The distance to Kuromon Market is very small so that you can walk there and try many delicious foods there. I need to walk to the subway station but the distance is acceptable. Anyway, I highly recommend this hotel

Stayed 6 nights at this hotel in a triple room and added an additional bed. The rooms were quite spacious (by jap standards) even with 4 beds and the toilet were properly space. Housekeeping was prompt and efficient every morning. Front desk was warm and obliging. The location of the hotel is just a 3 mins walk to namba and nippombashi stations. F&B, shopping options lined the outside of the hotel. Glico man was about 5 mins walk away.

This is a great place to stay. The enterance area is very smoky because the hotel located above pachinko place. But inside of the hotel is very nice and clean. It is also located on the prime area (only 2 minutes walk from Takashimaya)

Perfect location for those who love to eat and shop but not for those who love nature like Nara Park ( where the trained deers are) Five minutes walk to Don Quixote Shopping Mall and seven minutes walk to Kuromon Ichiba Market - an area recommended by Osaka Government Tourism Bureau.

We recently traveled to Osaka, Japan and used the Namba Oriental Hotel as our "base". The train to and from the Kansai airport was fast and efficient. We arrived at night and finding the Nama was a bit of a pain as we took a wrong turn after leaving the Namba station. A local citizen kindly steered us in the right direction. The room was small(2 twins) and contained all the necessary convenience items. The room was amazingly quiet. The staff was polite and friendly. The breakfast served each day was excellent and the ladies there was top notch. Very nice people. The Dontonbori was right at our doorstep with its myriad of eating places and shopping. We also had no problem getting to the train stations to catch the Shinkansens. Would definitely stay there again.

We spent four nights here at the end of May. Quite easy to get to from Kansai airport. Take the Nankai express train to Namba station. These operate every fifteen minutes. We arrived late at night but we had no problem finding our way to the hotel. Go to the hotel website and they have directions from the Namba station but the bonus is they actually have pictures of the landmarks to look for. If you can print this out beforehand, it is so easy. Suitable also if you have luggage as there are lifts and escalators. The hotel lobby is on the third floor. As other people have mentioned there is a slight cigarette odour in the lift and lobby. Maybe changing the carpet would help. It is not that bad really. Staff were very friendly and check-in was fast. The room was very clean and housekeeping everyday was efficient. The room was a good size compared to most in Japan and even included a lounge. There is a coffee machine and jug to make tea. An ice machine on each floor is a handy bonus. Wifi worked well. There is a courtyard with garden with lots of seating. Unfortunately you are not able to take any food or drinks to this area. This was a shame as we never saw anybody actually using this area. This hotel is in an excellent location for shopping, food and transport. It is located inside one of the many covered walking streets found in Osaka. Literally at the front door there are loads of restaurants and bars everywhere as well as shops and a couple of large department stores within two minutes walk. Easy access to two subway lines make this hotel another great choice. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel for location and price.
