There were dirty cups under the bed in my room. Hairs found in the bed sheets. They are remodeling which is very much overdue. No locks on the doors that lead into the hotel making it feel pretty unsafe. Never saw an elevator so not very accessible. No great hotels that I saw in the entire town. Next time I’d splurge and stay at the mill. Loved that Safeway, Starbucks, and lots of food close by. Staff were very friendly!
Very clean, new remodeled and confortable.
The location was handy (near two grocery stores and other conveniences), and very dog friendly. It was a bit noisy at times, but not during the 10pm-6am hours. Very nice staff. Ameneties were rated lower only because the pool was closed for maintenance. Otherwise, a decent place to stay, and not too expensive.

We had a 2-queen beds room. One bed sheet smelled really strong perfume on right side of the bed. The other bed sheet had no smell. Phew

Pulled off the bed covers of both beds to reveal hairs all over the pillows, sheets, etc. Either they didn't wash the linen, the housekeeper shed a lot, or they let a dog play on BOTH beds before they made them. Either answer didn't make my wife feel clean and comfy. Unhappy wife...you know the rest.

So the beautiful location of this property is a major plus, as are the professional staff who work there. Although the facilities are dated, they do a good enough job keeping them clean. However, the walls and floors are paper-thin, meaning you hear everything happening next door to you. On a week-night, this is fine because it's not all that full. However, on weekends, the party crowd can be loud. I had to confront another room full of guests because they had been up for hours (also keeping my wife and I up) partying above us. Finally, keep in mind that Coos Bay is a pretty small place, and there aren't many other options. Given this point, I would recommend asking for a room upstairs at this hotel to insulate yourself a bit from guest noise.
