The property is really beautiful and spacious, but there were so many errors with my stay that unfortunately I can't say I would stay there again.

I enjoyed this hotel and would stay again. The staff was wonderful, Restaurant good, Facility very nice. The only negative I can say is that I thought the room was maybe a bit not as nice as I expected, Not bad at all but a little old I guess, kind of noisy. There was a sweet 16 party and apparently a bachelor party as well the first night I was there so there was a good bit of late night hooting and hollering going on. My room was by the pool and even in the morning, I could hear everyone moving around outside which didn't make for a good sleep. The lobby is not on the ground floor (hard to explain) so hauling luggage up and down stairs was a bit of a challenge. One very nice housekeeping staff offered to help but I managed. Maybe there was an elevator, didn't see one and no one said anything about it so, stairs it was. Probably could have called a bellman as well but I didn't. Overall, very nice place and I would recommend, just next time I know to request a room that is not on the pool level.

We are very happy with everything, the only concern was the folding bed, for which we paid for two nights, it was very uncomfortable and requested for double bed room. We had requested at the front desk for refund for $40.00 after we checked out and have not received any response, which was expected by now.

We had a lovely weekend getaway! Staff and facilities were excellent.

Myself, boyfriend, and sister only stayed one night. But the view or the sunset in the bay from our balcony was amazing. The beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My sister wanted to stay and hang out longer at the hotel instead of going to Catalina!

Not as what I expected as I used stayed...doesn't seems meet the star rating as it suppose be

This is an older property in great location. Very spread out. Parking $37 and resort fee $25 are excessive.

We stayed 4 nights at the Hyatt over Thanksgiving weekend. It was a fantastic experience. The service was personable, prompt, definitely 5 star. The pool was huge and heated, with breathtaking sunset views. Room service & restaurant options were delicious, totally worth the Newport Beach hotel prices. Be sure to have the S'mores dessert- so tasty! The beds were nice, could possible use a refresh on the linens. The bathroom was lovely, plenty of room to get ready comfortably. Housekeeping was awesome--not invasive, just perfect timing. We will DEFINITELY stay here again! The hotel is less than a mile from Fashion Island & the Pacific Ocean--it doesn't get any better!

Our hotel had a lot of active amentities from free bike rentals, to the three swimming pools, shuffle board, and human size chess. HOWEVER, our toilet handle was broken when we first checked into our room. And, then when they "fixed" it, it was never completely fixed all the way and ran the whole time. The food was good...but very EXPENSIVE.

Staff was friendly. AC unit needs to be replaced.

We went for a reunion and all the events were held in the hotel premises. Nearby attractions easily accessible by their shuttles with very friendly drivers. There was no need to rent a car for the three days. Overall , we felt secured surrounded by friendly and helpful staff. I would like to mention Ariane ( ? ) in the concierge who booked for us a van for the Long beach cruise port and relieved us of all the worries...thank you..

I booked 3 rooms at the Hyatt Regency for my mother's birthday, because I've stayed with them before. When my mom checked in at 1:30 pm, the room had not been cleaned. She went back down to the front desk and said she would wait for a clean room. We checked in at 2:30 pm. By 4:20 pm our rooms were still not ready. We had booked a "view" room, but were told that a "view" could mean a parking lot. We were also told by front desk staff that, "I like to tell all of my guests that if you book through a third party site that we downgrade your room, so you're actually lucky." We were then given a room that had not been cleaned. This is close to 5 p.m. The bathroom towels had makeup still on them. There were used bars of soap in the bathroom, and there were multiple pieces of trash throughout the room. We called the front desk and housekeeping to complain and were told they were at capacity and that someone would come to clean our room. When we returned from dinner at 11 p.m. at night the room had still not been cleaned. I called back and was told the room was cleaned. I had to show the staff personally the dirty bars of soap STILL in the bathroom for him to finally clean our room. We went to bed at midnight. The next day by the pool we ordered food and were told the food would be there in 30 minutes. The food got there over an hour and the waitress said the food comes when it comes and there's no excuse. Our room was comped, and so was one of our sandwiches for the issues.

Nice resort, nice staff but only stay here if you don't mind the monopoly on parking and food. $35 valet, $27 self park EVERY NIGHT and no street parking within miles. Aren't 4 star resorts supposed to make you feel welcome to stay the night??

goood goood goood goooooooooooood nice pools. lovely area.

This hotel has seen better days, but it was well kept and close to the beach and Fashion Island. It was quite a hike from the self parking to our room.

"Resort fee" of $25 per night which was MANDATORY for free Internet and a bottle of water was a higher room rate in disguise. This allows them to advertise lower room rates online and collect the "real" room rate when you show up. Whatever you do DON'T drive here. Better Uber it. Self parking is $29 per night and valet is $35. Since there's NO OTHER option since street parking doesn't exist, your $200 per night room is now $260, 30% higher than expected. Last, but not least, carpet in room was soooooo dirty that my feet left black footprints in shower EVERY morning after walking barefoot ONLY IN MY ROOM for 5-10 minutes, at the most. ENJOY YOUR STAY!!!

Hotel was well-kept,bed was very comfy and pillow was AMAZING! Staff very helpful and polite. Only note was that the bathroom needed so repair...wallpaper was peeling away at the base and walls needed son sprucing up..otherwise, clean, neat and quiet.

This hotel has been remodeled, and the rooms in the Bay wing face the pool and bay. The pool has a water slide feature, which is great for kids as well as sprinkler features and large hot tub. There is also a mini golf area fenced. The rooms are well appointed with coffee makers but the bar in the lobby doubles as a coffee shop by day. There is a large 'living room' type lobby with books on travel and hobbies if you have to work or have a rainy day. There is a a fire feature overlooking the pool for outdoor cocktails and comfy seating. The parking is convenient to the pool area rooms but beware of the upcharges called 'resort fees' and parking is $25 night for self parking.
