Newport Beach Hotel was perfect for our anniversary trip! The location was ideal for us. It was literally steps off of the beach and located next to many shops and restaurants. The room itself was comfortable and clean. The only thing we wished we had was a refrigerator. It would’ve been nice to grab some snacks/sandwiches from the Pavilions so that we didn’t have to eat out every meal. I’m guessing it has something to do with the lack of electrical outlets in this century-old building. With the exception of the sink in the bathroom, there were no outlets anywhere other than behind the bed. We had to pull the bed out to plug in our phones. Also, I’m not sure if I should’ve requested it or not, the room wasn’t cleaned once the entire 6 days we were there. I would have appreciated some clean sheets and towels! As I mentioned earlier, this is an old building. The doors kinda slam, you can hear the people in the hall or sometimes when someone else turns their shower on. There isn’t an elevator. But the charm of this unique property makes the quirks easy to overlook. The front desk was super friendly and welcoming. They had a bunch of beach supplies for our use including some cruiser bikes. It was lovely to grab a few towels, chairs and an umbrella for the day at the beach. The breakfast was very simple. They had some different juices, coffee, fruit, and an assortment of bagels, bread, and muffins wrapped to go. We will be back! The location alone is magical!

We feel that this is more like a bed and breakfast type atmosphere, rather than a hotel. We love it here and make it a yearly destination for us.

Great location and vibe. A perfect little getaway spot.

The view 😍 looking out at the ocean and watching the sunset 🌇 just beautiful. I must say the young lady Kat was absolutely marvelous went way out of her way to help us very Curtis and Polite and there was and other person there the next day that did well too, theses young ladys were very professional did ther jobs well.. Sincerely Judy and Bill Hopkinson.

Room did not have a window. I felt claustrophobic in it. They should publish that fact. There were termites all over the place too. Otherwise the property is beautiful in a great location

I love the proximity to the beach and activity. The lobby area is adorable. My room however, had an odd smell and it was either too hot or too cold. I couldn't get the temp regulated. The walls are also very thin. I could hear the people next to me talking and laughing until 3 am and when anyone opens or closes the doors its loud. Makes it really hard to sleep.

The location is fantastic. You can sit in the quaint lobby, read, sip tea, and watch and listen to the ocean 24/7. The staff was incredibly hospitable. it felt like a family run business that really cared about guests.

They were superbly accommodating and exceptionally nice!

The location is perfect. You are steps from the beach and are close to all the restaurants. Right next store is a wonderful fresh fish restaurant, one of the best meals we’ve had! The staff at the Newport are terrific, friendly and so accommodating! We will be back.

We only had one suitcase stand and had to use the only chair in the room for the second suitcase. That meant I had to sit on the bed to put on my shoes. (high bed) grout on bathroom floor was dirty along with a stained dividing curtain. The bed was very comfortable. The lounge area was a good place to relax with big open air ocean views. parking was limited, I had to park on the street on the third night.

Perfect location and ambience for our romantic getaway.

Room was just liked it looked in the picture. Hotel staff (Madison) was wonderfully helpful and made our stay feel like home. The people were a little noisy, which mad enough us feel that the walls are pretty thin. Overall it was a great stay and we would return. Such a beautiful view.
