Dated hotel with ants in the bathroom, low ceilings, and unpleasant odor

Hotel staff was very friendly but pretty unhelpful. There were no towels by the pool and when we and several guest asked for more they told us to just us the ones from our room. So we did and then we had no towels to shower with. The next morning my wife woke up to a bed bug crawling on the sheets. We called the front desk and someone came to retrieve the bug. We were told we would be contacted by a manager but that has yet to happen.

I would stay here again the next time I travel to omaha. The staff is friendly and the hotel is beautiful. It is a bit far away from the downtown, but the distance is not too bad. Excellent value for the quality and service.

So being one of the only few 4 star hotels in Omaha we figured the Sheridan would be a nice place to stay, it wasn't. The first night we had dinner in their "restaurant" which is really just part of their lobby along with the bar, meaning no separation by any walls. There was a loud and raucous "singles night" going on within 30 feet of our table. More than half of the restaurants tables still have dirty dishes on them. The food was fine but except for the value as the price was still high. We swam at the pool which many guests were using even though they had beer bottles in which the staff did not seem to care. The day of our checkout we tried to swim again but the entire shallow section was being used by private swimming lessons for non-guests of the hotel. We had to get moved to a different room because our first room was horribly loud being placed next to the 1st floor elevator. Our second room we were provided wasn't entirely clean but at least was quiet. Anyhow there was more but you get the gist, our reasonable expectations were not met almost across the board. Next time we plan on staying at Embassy Suites in Omaha.

We were very pleased with our stay at the Sheraton Omaha Hotel last week. The staff was awesome and always very helpful. This is a green Hotel, which we liked very much. Again, the staff was AWESOME We will be staying there again during all of our upcoming trips to Omaha.

I was impressed with the quick check in and friendly staff first off, but the comfortable bed was the best part! I also had a great view of downtown Omaha, and convenient location. The housekeeping didn't come the first day but it was great anyway! I'll definitely stay there again.

Very nice weekend; friendly staff; clean. Only suggestion is that the heating unit and the thermostat were not always in synch...too cold or too warm at times even tho the thermostat didn't change. But, not really uncomfortable, just sometimes noticeable.

Nice and clean friendly staff. close to shopping and dinning.

This property is quite old, well past its prime, and currently being refurbished. Room was nice benefitting from new carpet, furniture, TV. However, the old style bathroom is tiny and annoying. So tiny you have to close the door to use the stool. Does not accommodate two persons. Shower ceiling barely exceeds 6 feet. Air-cond was either gale force or off, and the thermostat had no "lo-med-hi" adjustment. The hallway and elevator area permeates a musty malodorous smell, which hopefully will be eliminated as the makeover is completed. The staff was helpful and friendly, and making a best effort to overcome the long list of short-comings they are dealing with at this time. I doubt that I'll consider staying here again. Big question whether the improvements underway will justify the high room rate.

While the staff and room were exemplary, the location and renovation activities detracted from the overall experience. The paint fumes resulted in constant headaches for both my husband and myself the entire time we were in the building. And the distance to all points of interest made it difficult for us to navigate around Omaha.

They were remodeling the motel when we got there but the room was still great. There is a bar we didn't go to, but the had to find the entrance of it but then it wasn't bad finding the place.
