We were here on 1/26/18 and the front checked us in, gave us keys, and when one of the rooms was unlocked and entered there was a crackhead in the room! The vent in the bathroom on the wall by the towels was absolutely filthy.
I stayed here to catch an early flight. I signed up for the shuttle van the night before. The room had a single heat and air conditioning unit with no thermostat. There was no separate fan option, so all night long I was partially awakened as the heat came on with a roar (even on low) and then clanked off again. The really bad part was the next morning. There were five people who wanted a ride to the airport. Ten minutes after we should have left, I asked the desk clerk when the van would arrive. In order, I received answers of "Soon", "He's on his way", "He's on the highway", and finally "He's on I-40", none of which are arrival times. It turned out that the van driver had taken people to the downtown bus station, completely ignoring the people at the hotel who were signed up for the 5:30 and 6 am shuttle rides to the airport. When I complained to the clerk, her only response was to ask me what time my flight was. I pointed out that it was 30 minutes past when we should have left, and that I needed to be at the airport now. My flight details weren't any of her business. I finally walked to the terminal, about a mile away. No big deal, except that it was 15 deg that morning, which is why I'd wanted the shuttle! The other people who were waiting had small children and a baby; I don't know how or when they finally got to the airport.
My room was nice, but about as far away from the lobby as possible. The single luggage cart was kept by the lobby, more are needed, perhaps one by each elevator. My room was clean, however the two elevators I used were filthy. There was a lot of noise from I-40 so request a room on the side away from the highway.
Start by checking your expectations. This is an old motel, with a face-lift. It's clean, everything is in good condition, paint is in good shape, but the room and reception smell of old and the rooms are somewhat dark and a little sad. I guess my problem is that I'm used to go to "real hotels" so this was a little bit of a disappointment, but after I changed my mindset, I appreciated the good things about this hotel. Rooms are on the big side and I didn't have to pay extra for breakfast, parking or WiFi, so that's a bug plus. The breakfast was pretty good (except the coffee, which was atrocious), and the waffles were the best part of it. Beds are comfortable, sofa-bed not so much, even compared to other sofa-beds. I asked for a room in the back, to avoid highway traffic noise, and although that worked, this being a motel, nothing I could do to prevent the noise of the various pick up trucks running the engine for a while near my room, or people walking past my room's door talking loudly.
The front desk personnel were exceptional, breakfast was better than most that are included with room rate. Third floor room was very nice and up to date. I did notice that the sidewalks were very dirty and could use a good power-washing. We would stay there again!
Found this hotel as we were running through town. Great price and easy to find, with easy access to the freeway which is also the only downside as a little noisy from the traffic which is constant. Nice cooked breakfast and close to many attractions if you need a cheap few nights.
Property is on outskirts of shady! Personnel were great breakfast was the best of all Quality inns I've stayed at someone knows what lacks in rooms might be able to get you to comeback with great breakfast!
Nice hotel with everything working. Computer and printer in lobby for printing your boarding passes. Many construction workers are making this hotel their temporary home. Good breakfast with omelets, sausage, biscuit and gravy, yogurt, pastries, juice, and coffee. Located near Cracker Barrel, and just off of the freeway. The Oklahoma bombing memorial and museum is only about 15 minutes drive.
Airport shuttle driver was prompt and courtesy...Upon arriving late in the evening we made our way to the counter of hotel to check-in where this woman was standing she looked all disheveled and was obviously under the influence of something. After check-in we made our way to our room which was a long walk around the entire hotel.. Rooms were spacious the bathroom was little dirty the walls could use some paint. Beds were good for a short stay. The ceiling had looked like there had been damage or the beam of the ceiling had been repaired. This seemed to be more of a motel than hotel.
We booked a king suite that was huge, comfortable, and clean. It was the best place we had in a week of traveling, and it was a terrific price. Breakfast was typical fare for this chain, but it always gets us started down the road satisfied.
