We chose the Rihga Royal Gran Okinawa for its location, steps away from the Monorail and Bus Station, and we were delighted with how convenient it was for transport. The size and quality of the room, and the attentive service were a very pleasant surprise. Our room was quite spacious, a comfortable working environment. Also, there was ample drawer and storage space. After Naha, we were traveling further north on Okinawa and needed assistance in arranging the trip. The concierge staff could not have been more helpful and attentive. Their advice was perfect and all worked out very well. Our stay in Naha was defined and enhanced by the Rihga Royal.
My wife and I stayed for 5 days. Amazing staff and accommodations. Very close Kokusai-dori street and food. If you do happen to go there you must eat at the lucky taco!!! Can not wait to go back! Very central to everything happening in downtown Naha.
This place is so beautiful, and the staff was AMAZING! I arrived before my husband, and I didn’t have to lift a finger from the time I pulled up to the time the lady closed the door to my room. I appreciate great customer service! The rooms are spacious and clean, and the view is amazing! We stayed on one of the Premiere floors, and that came with some small perks: free breakfast (which was delicious), discount on any other meal of of the day, free drink at the bar (including non-alcoholic), free coffee and tea in the rooms, early check-in and late checkout times, etc. Outside the hotel, there are many things within walking distance, and the airport is only 5 minutes away. It’s within walking distance to Kokusai Street. Enjoy with the one you love 💕 We will certainly stay again!
My room and view is exactly what I wanted. I don’t speak Japanese but had no language barrier issues. The entire staff are efficient and very helpful. I also enjoyed being able to sample a wide variety of items for breakfast. I spent a few nights enjoying the night sky from the bar, relaxing with a well mixed cocktail or glass of Japanese whiskey. Thanks to the hotel WiFi I was able to stay in touch with my family after finding out my phone had no service. I didn’t need an outlet converter here either. My bed and room accommodations were excellent. I was also able to walk to most places to eat and shop. The proximity to the airport is also a plus.
Rihga Royal's room is quite big and depends on the type of room you pick, you can enjoy a very nice view from your room. As all of you might know that hotel room in jp can be quite small, that's the main reason why I picked Rihga Royal. The quality of room amenities are a surprise for us. They offer La Mer shower gel, shampoo and two sets of basic skincare samples. They also offer other amenities which you can see it from the photo. The hotel is situated next to a monorail station, it's very convenient if you are not renting a car. The downside of this hotel is that it is situated between 5th and 14th floor. You would need to take a lift to the 14th floor first, then change to another lift to get to your room. Other than that, everything is great! Rihga Royal酒店的客房非常寬敞，取決於您選擇的客房類型，你仲可以從客房欣賞美景。大家都知道日本的酒店房間可以好細，但Rihga Royal的房間很大，這是選擇rihga royal 的主要原因。正！
It's location is good, 15mins travel to airport and near mono rail. Clean and tidy, staff nice and helpful. We stayed there for 4 nights and they helped tidying up our rooms every day. But if you want to go to the north, about an hour ride.
This is a very pleasant, modern hotel with excellent facilities, a good location (rooms overlooking the port and the river), very close to the airport and right next to a monorail station. Rooms are large and well-appointed. Service is warm and attentive. Terrific breakfast - Japanese, Chinese and Western dishes at the 14/F restaurant. Remarkably beautiful decor in the form of ceramic wall tiles and reliefs. The only slight inconvenience is the need to change lifts at the reception floor (14) to access the guest rooms, i.e. you always have to go to that floor first when you want to get to your room or leave the hotel.
It was the first time we (my wife and I) travel to Okinawa. Unlike many tourists seeing the island’s beauty by driving a car, we decided to take public transportation for our Okinawa trip. Therefore, the location of the hotel where we stay was crucial. Rihga Royal Gran Okinawa is located by Asahibashi Station (旭橋駅) with a 2-minute walk across the walkway and a 2-minute walk to Naha Bus Terminal. It is about 15 minutes from Naha Airport to the hotel by taking the Yui Rail (ゆいレール). In addition to public transportation, we also took bus tours to many of Okinawa’s most popular destinations. Rihga Royal Gran Okinawa is very close to Okinawa Kencho-Mae (沖縄県庁前) which is one of the meet points of many bus tours. Although the hotel is not located at Kokusai Dori Street (国際通り), the most popular shopping street, it is close enough (about 10-minute walk). We can still easily enjoy the shopping and stay away from the noise of the busiest street in Okinawa. - To Naha Bus Terminal: 2-minute walk - To Asahibashi Station (旭橋駅): 2-minute walk - To Naha Airport (via Monorail): 15 minutes - To Okinawa Kencho-Mae: 10-minute walk - To Kokusai Dori Street (国際通り): 15-minute walk Our room (standard room) was comfortable and spacious. Although we only had one luggage, I can imagine the room is big enough for two people with four large luggage. The bathroom is also big enough that my wife and I can use it at the same time. The bathroom has a separate toilet room, which is very pleasant. The complimentary toiletries are handy, especially the following two items. 1. Wash body towels (for wash and scrub our body) which were the first time I saw a hotel provides this item. 2. Two color toothbrushes. The idea of different color toothbrushes is neat so we will not be confused. Like most hotels in Japan, the toilet has a washlet toilet seat. It did not have many features to adjust but good enough. The reason the service is not 5 is that in the last night, the room door was not close properly at the moment when we came back. Of course, the concierge staff sincerely apologized for the mistake after we told her this incident. The room door is supposed to close automatically; however, the housekeeping should be more careful when leaving the room. Worth it? Totally! Highly recommend for people who don’t drive and take public transportation or local bus tours.
The hotel is well located by the Asahibashi monorail, with a 2 minute walk across walkways takes you to the slightly annoying 2 way lift system of the hotel, where you check into the 14th floor. The check in is an organizational mess, where they attempt to do Ritz Carlton/Four seasons desk style check in, with a seated waiting area. The volume of traffic just overwhelms this, so you need to assume that check in can recognize who is next. This didnt happen with a couple coming after us, checking in before. They then issue you old style breakfast coupons, if your this is included in your package, its the 21st century, and you cant computerize which room has breakfast or not? The breakfast itself is decidely average, with no egg station, all the eggs were cold to luke warm at best. Selection is fine, but the only variation i found were alternate french toast on one day versus sweet potatoe waffle on another. A few unusual items were pot-au-feu, and the grilled okinawa sausage was good. The room itself is a good size for Japan, and a nice bathroom with tub and stand up shower combined. It looks like the hotel had a recent refurbishment. Though one of the matresses was decidely lopsided. Now my biggest complaint, is the lack of sound insulation especially from the outside. You can hear the annoying pedestrian crossing bleep, the constant revving of high pitched scooters, yes scooters not Harleys. Why on earth Okinawa emergency services need to turn sirens on at 3am is also beyond me, just use your lights! The service is polite, though a lack of English prevents it from being really friendly. The main attraction is the price point and location, 10 mins walk from Kokusai dori, I would have though paid more not to ge constantly woken up.
To start, I am not a huge fan of staying near train and bus stations due to potential rif raff, but I chose this location because I was staying with my dad who doesn't walk too well, and I wanted something close by to transit to reduce the walking distances. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the hotel and the scenery from the lobby and our high floor room was beautiful, especially at night. Our room was spacious and had a nice, large shower, fancy toilet, and large counter area to get ready. There are plenty of storage options in the room with drawers and the closet, so we weren't tripping over our stuff. The breakfast we prepaid for both days was impressive for the amount of choices available. There were lots of western and eastern choices available to make any guest happy and full. Even those of us with dietary issues had plenty of choices for breakfast, so I was thrilled. I can't say enough wonderful things about the staff. They were of course friendly each time we saw them, but they went well beyond the call of duty to help my dad try to get a hold of his credit card company on the phone...including several trips back and forth to our room and help translating on the phone. We cannot express how gracious and kind the staff was to try to help us. This property is so ideal for travelers as it is a 3 minute walk from the monorail stop which goes directly into the Naha airport terminal. It is about a mile from Kokusai street (very touristy area of shops and restaurants) and is very walkable from the hotel. We highly recommend the hotel and will definitely stay here again!
