Great hotel, staff speak English , room was super nice, had everything you need from making coffee in the morning, wifi, great location, lots of restaurants near by, and of course the shopping. Friendly staff. and breakfast was amazing. Recommend to stay at this hotel.
Not sure why but the lady who checked us in didn't look very happy. Perhaps she had to work during the Golden Week. But apart from that lady, the other staff were ok-friendly. We booked the Deluxe Double non-smoking room and it was on a smoking floor. We thought that as long as the room did not have the stale smoke smell, it would be fine. It did not and we gave the room a shot. However, late at night and early in the morning, smoke from the other smoking rooms crept in and it gave me a bad headache. So we asked to change room and they were nice to give us a non-smoking room on a non-smoking floor. However, the room was a downgrade as they do not have Deluxe Double non-smoking room on a non-smoking floor. Since it was going to be one night, I accepted it. The new room we got had a pretty strong stale smoke smell even though it was a non-smoking room on a non-smoking floor, but I just closed 2 eyes. The cleanliness of the new room was not very good as a lot of places had settled dust, especially in the toilet. It made me wonder if the room they gave us was like a back-up room.
Clean and cosy business hotel. Reasonably priced. 8 mins walk to Oita train Station. Plenty restaurants within 5 mins walk from the hotel. Rooms size are the typical business hotel standard, small and no thrills ;p
The hotel is near the train station, near city center and local restaurants. The service was good and staff was polite. The room was clean tidy for a business hotel. Ideal hotel for short stays and business visits in Oita.
Not far from station and good location. Room rate with breakfast quite reasonable and highly recommend. Service and restaurant in good standard. Hard to competed. Recommend for business and leisure purpose.
We booked months ago a non smoking double room and added a comment asking specifically a non smoking room only. When we checked in, the woman told us with a big smile that it was a non smoking double room. Turned out it was a room on a smoking floor and there was an ashtray in the room and a bad smell ... At the front desk they insisted that it was a non smoking room even if it was on a smoking floor, with an ashtray in it . We made our point and they agreed to give us a room on a non smoking floor. But when we checked the bed linen in the non smoking room, we discovered blood stains on it! So disgusting! It's the first time it happened to us in a hotel of that range! So we changed room AGAIN, and one wasted hour later we finally got the room we booked for.
Could be a ten minute walk from JR station but easy walk. Very nice and clean hotel. The staff is very helpful. The place has modern facilities and well maintained. Public transport through bus is available to reach JR station. nearby many shops and malls are available.
Pretty good location about fifteen minutes walk from the JR station. If you are flying in/out of Oita airport, there is a regular connecting bus from a stop right around the corner from the hotel. When we arrived the European guy who checked us in was a little brusque. We never saw him again though and the rest of the (Japanese) staff were very courteous. Our room was a decent size but not very well lit. It was however very clean, had a decent size comfy bed and an excellent bathroom.
Very stylish, staff friendly, affordable, comfortable bed, clean.... no need to go anywhere else. There is an employee who speeks french and english! yes this is a plus in Japan if you don't speak Japaneses.
I stayed for 1 night on business. This hotel is operated by Fino hotel group under license Best Western. So I think it's not Best western in the US, just a Japanese city hotel. But room design is very stylish and not narrow like a typical Japanese business hotel. I felt where I've visited foreign country. There are 2 types for a single room rate, 5,800JPY and 5,000JPY. I recommend 5,800JPY. Its room is a little bit wider than other room, and confortable.
