Perfect spot, great price and so close to the beach

I don’t even know where to begin. The commander beach house hotel is across the street from the real hotel, which is fine if there was a sign posted or someone at the front desk. The front desk attendant was so rude when we were checking in. Told us where our room was without even given direction on how to find the room. It is a confusing layout and would have been nice for directions. We had to ask another guest how to find our room. The guest that helped us said that they don’t even have a bathroom in their room. Anyways, we get to our room, nothing like the pictures. Definitely not worth the price we paid. We only had one roll of toilet paper and had to ask for more. The phone in our room wasn’t even working.

I liked that i had a balcony overlooking the ocean. Had a hard time finding somewhere to park. The first room we stayed in when we got there was dirty and smelled bad so we got a new room. The new room over looking the ocean was clean but the floor felt sandy. Guess we have to expect that being so close to the beach. When we needed more towels or blankets they told us there wasnt any avaliable. Took several phone calls to get any. Definelty not worth the money to stay here. Will stay someplace else next time.
Knowledge is power.. Here’s the deal.. The hotel has 3 locations (let’s call it the main, center and rear). The main location is where you check in, find the indoor pool and is directly on the beach. The center is where the outdoor pool is located. Overall this pool was really nice and clean. Then you the Rear (located across the street from the main and center). This is where we stayed and I would never do it again. 1). Parking is a mess. We had to unload at the rear location and park at the main. The parking lot at the rear location is horribly tight and only has one way in or out. We had to unload at the rear location and park at the main. The next day we we’re able to get a spot at the rear and move the car. 2). There is no room service or house keeping. So if you need something, you have to call the main hotel and request it. When you call, you must call from your personal cell phone because the phone system in the rear does not connect to the main hotel. 3). The rooms are extremely small. Don’t let the pictures fool you. DORM ROOM SMALL. With a small TV that has a pixilated image. The dresser had broke draws, the carpet was dirty and the toilet seat had burn marks on it. The room smelled so badly of mildew that I went to CVS and purchased an automatic Airwick. Even the staff knows that building smells badly because several times a day, they were seen spraying down the hallways and common areas.
The location was great but the hallways and lobby smelled musty. The room did not thankfully. It was perfect for a comfy bed to sleep on.

When you first get into the hotel the smell of old/ mildew hits you. The carpet has a black ring of dirt on the stairs and throughout the building, very gross. No onsite assistance. There's not an elevator on the property, we were on the third floor and we had to walk up many stairs with all of our stuff. The rooms were clean but were very small and the AC kept you up all night because it was so loud. The TV sucked as well, only a few channels. I will never stay here again.

Quiet for being what seems to be right in the middle of all the action! I like how close it is to the boards and beach.
Check in line was long. Only 1 computer for the location we stayed at. Overall the place was good we had our own private entrance.
Cons...Place looks dated. Need a face lift. Floor was sandy. Check in for Buckingham is at nearby hotel. Parking is tight. AC loud. Pros... had a small full kitchen with dishes and pots and pans. 1 minute to the boardwlak. Beds are comfy
Very quaint room with kitchen. Close to beach just like we wanted. No issues.
The room was clean, the staff were wonderful and beds were comfortable. There are no balconies to dry beach towels and rooms are tiny. Not many amenities. Fine for staying overnight, but not enough space to stay longer.
The hotel is a fair choice but probably could find a better hotel for average price range.
