We stayed 5 nights here on a Groupon deal. The package was all inclusive - that is, all meals (including room service!), drinks (including a wide range of cocktails) and mini bar, and non motorized water sports (eg. Kayaking, catamaran, stand up paddle). It even included free laundry of 2 items per person per day (including kids). There was also a choice of swimming pools with water slides for the kids and a cool kids club. We watched cooking demonstrations and even had a go ourselves. The kids released turtles into the wild (what an amazing opportunity! Only on Tuesdays). We played pool, air hockey and table Tennis in the games room. We sang karaoke. We went to see a couple of dinner shows at the buffet - great entertainment. The food was very good. There are 7 restaurants in which you can dine - with only a few dishes like lobster attracting an additional charge. We really liked the cool beach vibe of Jukung (or Julie’s at night), the Indonesian food at Ibu Kitchen and the convenience of Mahi Mahi while at the pool. Our kids came down with gastro which they blamed on the fresh strawberry garnishes in their ice cream. But the rest of our group were fine - even after eating lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. We were upgraded to an ocean view room on the ground floor - this didn’t give us an ocean view but did give direct access to the pool area and was convenient to the breakfast buffet. The rooms were average hotel rooms - nice but not that special. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Shan Shan who welcomed us to the resort. Her bright and friendly welcome made a great first impression. Overall, I would definitely recommend this resort if you want an easy resort experience. There really is no need to leave the resort. However, if you do, there are heaps of places just outside the resort which offer cheap massages and manicures. And it is only about 40 minutes to Uluwatu.
We were highly impressed with the Grand Mirage resort. The hotel really caters for younger children in their excellent "Kids Club". All the ladies were absolutely amazing & genuinely care for the children so parents too can enjoy a relaxing holiday. Lots of things for the pre-teen/teens to do but they are free to come & go a bit more. The choice of restaurants available in the resort was great & the quality of food was on point. With their choice of many international cuisines there is something for everyone to enjoy, even our picky eater 4 year old ended up going back for seconds or thirds by the end of the holiday. The nightly entertainment was lovely & we particularly loved Sisca the singer & her duet partner. As well as having lovely voices they really worked hard at engaging with the audience, had the children involved every night & catered for all with their song choices. The all-inclusive package was a God send & enabled us to fully relax. We were treated like royalty with lots of extras given to you upon check-in. We had free motorised watersports (jetski, speedboat, banana boat rides) plus I enjoyed a lovely afternoons pampering at the spa courtesy of the hotel. The hotel runs foam parties for the kids every week plus a separate champagne foam party for adults in their brand new adults only infinity pool. All in all every member of staff was lovely, friendly & took real pride in the hotel & catering to their guests needs. The hotel was presented beautifully & was kept very clean. We'll definitely be going back
Room was beautiful inside as well as view; amenities excellent especially enjoyed the infinity pool overlooking the beach front. Multiple restaurants to choose from each one offering a different ethnic cuisines ... each one we tried was a delightful dining experience. Service throughout the resort area was superb, and in this regard 2 lobby managers deserve special recognition for going out of their way to ensure our needs were met - these were Ms. Senni and Mr. Ratmadi.
Nice hotel. Very good & friendly staff. Aris was the room attendant, who was very helpful, polite & curious at all times. Enjoyed the delicious Indian breakfasts served by Vijay Singh. I was on room & breakfast basis. The upgrade to all inclusive from the paid room & breakfast is not worth it for me. It was about £66 per person per day. The only suggestion that I would like to make is to leave more bottles of the complimentary water, though more is available on request. The deposit guarantee payment taken on my credit is still pending even though I had mentioned it to the reception at the time of check out. I am not comfortable on seeing an item still showing as "pending" on my credit card account after a week of checking out. I had not used the mini bar nor purchased anything billed to my room.
I travelled here with my family for 7 nights; a 9 year old & 13 year old. I didn’t realise how separate the family section; Family Paradise, is to the main part of the hotel, Grand Mirage. Family Paradise was where our room was so we really only used this pool and the hotel facilities here. Food & drinks at the hotel are fairly pricey, as expected. Our kids really enjoyed using the kids club facilities; ping pong, pool table and loved the play station! They used the non motorised beach activities. Our 2 bedroom family room was spotlessly clean & spacious. Breakfast was delicious with a massive variety of food everyday. All the staff were very friendly & helpful. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, outside the hotel, with dotted shops & day spas along the way. Lovely beach front location with sea breezes. Overall it was a fantastic family holiday. I would definitely recommend staying here with kids.
Good location great breakfast top pool and good rooms all round winner!! Really good family suites the kids loved the pool and kids games area. Not far from the airport and local market was worth a visit just a walk away.
Couldn't ask for anything more to keep the entire family happy. Beautiful resort filled with beautiful staff. Will be recommending to all our friends with children of all ages. Can't wait to come back soon.
Grand Mirage has had some exciting new developments recently completed with the new Julie's Restaraunt beachside previously (Jukung) just opened and close by a new adults only pool built up on a second level with an all family pool directly underneath. What a great idea. Besides this next door the old Club Mirage renovated to cater for families. Guest staying at Grand Mirage can use these facilities. The family stayed in a corner suite at GM with stunning resort, beach and ocean views. Breakfast was included. One can take advantage of their all inclusive deal as well which means even your mini bar is included as well as food and alcohol consumed all day. You can even have days on it and days off it. Staff from front office to engineering are just wonderful and the building oozes traditional architecture of the past. One small point. I notice the old La Cascata is closed. How sad. A very special place for us as well as Cools downstairs from when we stayed decades ago. When there introduce yourself to Wayan Sibang. Quite a personality and he and staff manage Julie's like it was their own. Grand Mirage has to be considered especially if you have a family or even if not. All bases are covered.
Just spent 7 nights at Grand Mirage. Loved it. Great hotel, great location, great facilities. If you have a young family the family paradise has a variety of things to do. We stayed in the main hotel but the paradise is a very short walk so you don’t have to pay the paradise prices. We didn’t go all inclusive as there are good restaurants in Nusa and bluebird taxi’s to Kuta are so cheap. Will definitely look at going back again.
Pools and water park are fantastic, kids club reliable and safe. Breakfast was fantastic, Room very clean and comfortable. Wifi intermittent and not available in our room. Long waits to get hold of concierge over the phone from room but in person very efficient and friendly. Cocktails inconsistent and average. Water quality good. Friendly and helpful staff, would stay there again.
