Fantastic stay at Villa del Palmar! It was so relaxing, a slice of heaven! The unit was exactly as described. There were drinks and snacks in the room upon arrival, which was nice. The room was spotlessly clean and janitorial was attentive. Even the sliding glass doors were sparkling. Comfy bed. Strong shower. The swimming pool was large, beautiful and the water was the perfect temperature. It was warm enough to walk right in and cool enough to feel refreshing in 80 degree temperatures. Chad, our host, was very responsive and took good care of us. This was our first time staying at a VRBO property, and I was very pleased. Chad answered all of my questions and made the process smooth. The food in the resort restaurants was excellent. We split our meals between breakfast in the room with the full kitchen, and lunches and dinners either at the resort or in the cute town of Bucerias, a short 20 minute walk across the Greenway. There are two large supermarkets 30 minute walk away. Bring solid bags with good handles or take an Uber back. Very easy. Almost everyone in this area speaks English well. There is always Google Translate or gestures and a few Spanish words. Don’t let fear of a different language keep you from traveling internationally. The people were very kind. They will try to sell you a timeshare at the resort. If you are not interested, just say “No, gracias” and don’t come to the free breakfast. They will not bother you further. Wonderful place, don’t hesitate!
