Couldnt fault it. Only down side is no on site parking. But I believe this is reflected in the price. Beds were really comfortable, slept really well. would stay here again and look forward to it. Breakfast wasnt the best but nothing wrong with it
I stayed for two nights with my husband whilst we were in Nottingham for the outlaw triathlon weekend. The hotel was very busy with Hen and stag parties on the Saturday night but having read reviews, I phoned the hotel the night before we checked in to request a room on a high floor as I had seen this was going to be quieter. It was and we have no problems with noise at all during our stay despite being up very early on this Sunday morning. Breakfast was delicious and the room was spacious enough for our needs. The location is good, right next to the train station where we arrived although there is no hotel parking nearby. The water pressure in the room was pretty rubbish and the shower was a dribble however.
Situated less than a 5 minute walk from the railway station, Jurys Inn, Nottingham is a modern well presented hotel. There is car parking nearby for the station but none that I could see at the hotel itself. I am not sure I would like to venture out in the dark and was warned to avoid the canal nearby after sunset by some locals. I did walk along the canal back to the hotel about 6pm one evening and some characters were starting to congregate. If you want to venture out and find somewhere to eat, there are a number of eateries approximately a 5 or 10 minute walk away towards the town centre. The hotel staff are friendly and my room was large and comfortable with a good sized bedroom and en suite bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the heating/ventilation was good. I found the shower in my room rather small, barely big enough to turn around in, which was a shame as the bathroom could easily have taken a bigger cubicle. My room was nice and quiet even though I overlooked the main entrance. I used room service on my first night and the food came on time and was hot. Service in the restaurant was a little bit more hit and miss but was okay. Breakfast was more of a miss. Plenty of selection, but the hot buffet rarely had any fried eggs during my stay and when they did arrive they were overcooked and in short supply. The sausages, bacon, etc were plentiful but appeared to have been sat out under the hot lights a little too long. On the first morning there was no cutlery and it must have been 10 or 15 minutes before any arrived, by which time there were quite a few people waiting and the supply quickly dwindled again. Likewise there was a shortage of milk even for my cup of coffee. Better co-ordination with the kitchen would probably solve all these problems. Overall I really like this hotel and would go back in the hope that the problems in the restaurant were a short term issue that will have been fixed before my return.
Great location, clean, comfortable with very helpful staff. Great stay. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. Stayed thee nights and our party occupied five rooms, none of the group had any complaints.
Perfect location for Trent Bridge cricket. Easy to get in and out although if driving find out about the parking - not obvious for a first timer. Really easy walk into the city centre and nice canal side walks - including to Trent Bridge. Walkable to the Trip to Jerusalem and the Playhouse. Staff are friendly, rooms are clean and functional - although if you like lots of cupboards and drawers then this is not your place.
I stayed here in business one Monday evening in July. It was pretty busy as there were lots of people in the area for graduation. However, staff managed this well and my bedroom on the 7th floor was extremely quiet. Air conditioning was great and the hotel room was comfortable and looked fresh and newly decorated. I'd definitely stay again.
This was first stay at a Jurys Inn hotel, usually I have preferred another well known chain of hotels. I was very impressed with the quality and comfort of this hotel and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to feel a little pampered without the experience being too expensive. The hotel is quite close to the train station, so is easily accessible and to say how central the hotel is, there were no environmental noise issues
Good location, friendly check in and great room. The hotel was clean and busy despite work being completed, but everything went smoothly with good customer service and a free Costa voucher in our room😉
Great location for visiting Nottingham, especially if travelling by train. Hotel is walking distance from station, and 10 minute walk to Trent Bridge. Hotel facilities as expected from such a chain, with friendly, helpful staff.
Really good location for Trent Bridge and Nottingham City centre. Also, very near transport links, and good for train travel. Would certainly book again for Test Match cricket. Disappointingly, the bar & reception area were under maintenance when we arrived.
