Shower Room: Shower, Toilet. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot, highchair and two stairgates. Garden with patio with furniture and barbeque. Parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. This detached holiday property has a very well-equipped kitchen with bean to cup coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine, spacious living room with large Samsung Smart TV (and Netflix/ BT Sport, selection of DVDs and a Nintendo Wii and a selection of books, toys and games) and comfy leather sofas, TVs in both upstairs bedrooms, fibre broadband and Weber barbeque in the enclosed rear garden. The cottage sits just a short walk from Sea Palling’s popular sandy beach with seasonal water sports and life guards. There is a children’s playground, a dog friendly local pub, cafe’s, fish & chip shop, amusement arcade and the Post Office and Village Shop (selling many everyday essentials) all a short walk away.

Dormouse Cottage is an ideal base from which to explore the area’s many attractions: - There are many fabulous circular walks, coastal walks and nature reserves in the local area. Horsey Gap is a great place to view the huge local seal colony on the beach. Stalham has a variety of shops, restaurants, pubs, supermarket and boat hire. Wroxham with many shops including the world-famous Roys Department Store, various boat trips and hire facilities, Wroxham Barns (petting farm, craft studios, fun fair and restaurant). The Norfolk Broads are very close by with many water activities and boat trips/ boat hire available - BeWILDerwood Outdoor Adventure Park. Not to mention Happisburgh lighthouse and childrens play area! The larger towns of Cromer (with it’s pier, theatre and local shops), Great Yarmouth (with the pleasure beach, fairground rides, aquarium, theatres, horse racing, dog racing and many shops), as well as the medieval City of Norwich (with its cathedral, castle, galleries, museums and excellent shopping) are all within easy reach.

Dormouse Cottage 4 night stay review

Excellent well equipt kitchen and clean tidy and homely with gorgeous decor. Prosecco left in the fridge with coffee/tea/cereal and a pint of milk on arrival which was thoughtful. Only negative point is the only washing point/bathroom is the shower but it has no pressure and comes out of the shower head like a trickle and is very disappointing…. It took ages to shower and wash my hair. It is more than 2 minutes walk to the beach it is more like 5 minutes. Otherwise can’t fault our stay.

Dormouse cottage is ideally situated just on the edge of the village. Just a 5 minute stroll to the beautiful blue flag Sea Palling beach. The cottage was very clean on arrival and all covid 19 rules had been followed. Very well maintained. Lots of utensils etc in the kitchen. Spacious yet cosy. A lovely week in Dormouse Cottage, Sea Palling This cottage is in a lovely location near to beach and local shop. It is clean comfortable and well equipped and ideal for up to six people. It has a nice conservatory and a small rear garden with seats. There is a garage to the rear (but this would not be big enough for a larger car ) and a small place to park outside of the garage although when we stayed the lady next door came and told us she does not use her garage so we were able to park two cars outside which was very helpful. The beach at Sea Palling is very nice and there are lots of nice places to visit within easy reach by car. We recommend Poppylands in Horsey for Sunday lunch and good food any day of the week! We would return to Sea Palling and Dormouse Cottage.

Perfect location with just a short walk to the beach front - one of the most beautiful dog friendly beaches in Norfolk. A great base between popular areas of Cromer and Great Yarmouth too - a half hour drive in either direction. The cottage is perfect - everything you need... modern... clean... comfortable... and plenty of space. Would highly recommend it and will certainly be returning.
