Amazing Hotel service quality! The Dorint hotel is well located close to the Casino, rooms are comfortable and well decorated the public areas are pleasant, but, Service personals are outstanding! Have to write again & again & again, when you have quality service the travelling experience gets a real upgrade. During our stay (May 2017) we experienced a failure of the air-condition Alexandra from reception immediately did all to make us happy. I need as well to thanks the breakfast team (which is amazing) and especially the Maître -D which every morning made sure to let us feel VIP ;-) Highly recommended well managed hotel
As a couple with two children we took a superior room with two extra beds. We had messed up the reservation and the hotel sorted it out quickly and easily providing extra beds at no extra cost. - The reception staff are very friendly with a quick check-in many hotels could learn from. The room, whilst small for 4, was well laid out with the best bath and shower of the holiday. The spa has all you need, although a small pool, but big enough for the kids to enjoy. The free wifi is strong and the location is perfect for exploring the town with plenty of bars and restaurants near by. We would stay again.
The hotel was older, but very charming. Had a full body massage, which war absolutely amazing. The restaurant served delicious food to fair prices and the casino near by, was also a positive experience. Cheap, charming and luxorious. Very nice!!
If they advertised 4 star, I would agree to what I experienced, but it is not what I am used to from 5 star Hotels. the Spa, Pool is much smaller than the photos suggest. Room atmosphere/design is missing a 'Feng Shui' effect. The breakfast however is excellent with great diversity and delicious selections! The Hotel is very close to the Down town area, easy to get around.
Dorint Maison Messmer hotel is one of the best location hotels in Baden-Baden. Just walking distance to top Baden-Baden attractions. Our room was spacious and well decorated. Bathroom was excellent too.The breakfast was amazing with great quality of food an a wide range of alternatives. Comparing to other luxury hotels, I think 20 euros per day for the parking is overpriced and they should bring it down if they can't make it complementary.
Nice luxury hotel in the center of Baden-Baden with all the pro and cons. Pro is the level of service and the old and new building structure. Con is the same with limited access and all of the hotel is quite small and a lot of corners. Sometime it has the feeling of a fox burrow. However, the cleanliness is outstanding and the bed was one of the best I had in long years. Looking on the overall price level in Baden-Baden it was ok.
Enjoyed our stay at the well-located and very pleasant hotel. Walking distance to most places. Helped that it was just across from the Kurhaus where our meetings were. Rooms were adequate and the breakfast sufficient. But more than made up for by excellent service. Asked for a kettle and teacup cos there is no in-room coffee/tea service. Staff were happy to oblige. Only grouse was that the pool was much smaller than I thought and not easy to get to, but that is really a minor peeve. Would recommend to anyone!
We stayed as a family for five days. Staff was nice and helpfull, room spotless and clean. It is an elegant and luxurious hotel, and it was really nice staying there. The swimming pool and spa facilities on offer are excellent, and we used them every day.
We finally made plans to visit Baden Baden to experience their renown spas and thermal baths. Loved our stay at the Dorint. The staff was very professional and helpful. We were given a room on the 5th floor with a beautiful, snowy view out over the park, Casino, center of town and the hills beyond. Our rate package included their delicious breakfast buffet with its very expansive selections of morning goodies. Also included was a spa massage for each of us! We enjoyed time in the Spa and Wellness center on the evening of our arrival. Swimsuits are required in the indoor pool which has cool temperature water and two small coves of massage jets. The sauna area can get a little crowded due to the small spaces between showers and sauna rooms -- note that the policy here is textile-free or no clothing while using the saunas. There are some relaxation areas with chaise lounges overlooking the pool which are nice places to have some quiet time. Our Dorint experience was delightful and we hope to return soon. Tips: - Sign up for the Dorint Card - you can ask for a late check-out time and might even get an upgraded room if available. - Check hotel offers - that's how we found our package Convenient: - 15-min taxi ride from the train station - right next door to the Casino - 5 min walk to Museum Freider Burda (modern and contemporary art) - 10 min walk to Brenners Park Hotel & Spa (Michelin 2 star restaurant) - 3 min walk to town center with its restaurants and shops (many are closed on Sundays though) - 10 min walk to Freidrichsbad Roman Baths and Caracalla Spa (awesome!) Bath experience: - The biggest hurdle for most people new to European spas is that these baths are textile-free, meaning you are nude with other nude people walking around, though you will have towels. Generally speaking, it shouldn't take you long to realize that 1) you'll never see these other people again, 2) you shouldn't worry about what your body looks like after seeing everyone else, and 3) it is a remarkably freeing and relaxing way to spend a few hours. - There is a bath "etiquette" that is taken very seriously while using the baths. Check on the rules at each spa. Most important is that you should shower before getting into a sauna, steam bath, or pool. So at these baths, you will be taking many minute showers as you go from station to station. Another rule is that when you go into saunas, any body part that would touch a seat should have a towel under it. So sit or lay on a towel. If your feet will be on a seat, you should place another towel down first. - The two famous spas in Baden Baden, Freidrichsbad and Caracalla, are very different from each and should both be visited if you have the time! For Caracalla, the hotel allowed us to take their robes and towels.
Very nice hotel in Baden baden! Perfectly located in the center near the casino and all the shops! Great service, it was a nice stay. The spa and the wellness section is very good, the restaurant also.
