This property is probably the better of the budget-friendly hotels in the area of Portsmouth, and safer, but the cleanliness was sub-par, even for a "Quality" inn. The room smelled of mildew and the walls, switches and doors had dirt smudged everywhere. Carpet felt gross. The beds/linens were clean, but the bed was not comfortable. A/C did not work well, sand we were hot all night. They had a roof leak with a bucket in the lobby, no lobby restrooms, and the pool is closed indefinitely. One staff member gave attitude, one staff member wouldn't answer my question and didn't really seem to know what she was doing, and one staff member was kind and helpful. Parking was good. I know it's a budget place but a friendly, competent staff and cleaned walls would go a long way to help, considering the other issues.
