Holiday Inn Norfolk Airport

Business trip and a stay that met my expectation, I would encourage the hotel to upgrade their van.

Our family of two parents and two children under 4 needed a place to stay before flying out early in the morning. We had a pleasant stay and slept well. The check-in was easy and quick, the room was larger than we needed and clean, and the shuttle was very convenient. We would stay there again.

very easy to get to from airport. nice rooms, clean, quiet.

I have a great awesome and great family at hotel also have a great food and drink

Great location and perfect get away. Thanks so much.

We arrived late yet the place was still booming with everyone as if they were waiting for us. We were greeted with a smile and welcoming attitude. The employee at the desk let us know that if we wanted to take advantage of the pool or the bar, we had one hour left. She recommended them after a long trip to wind down the day. When we got to the room it was bigger than expected and extremely clean. We had a great night and slept excellent (pillows were a little too fluffy though). We checked out the next morning, we decided to take advantage of the breakfast buffet. I was still jetlagged so barely ate anything, but my wife enjoyed it. After we were done, the waitress brought the bill. She noticed that I barely ate anything so she only charged us for one person. It capped off a great experience for us. We would definitely pick Holiday Inn express again.

Since this was a package deal, I had a few surprises, none of them bad. My small room (with insufficient light) was on a high floor and I spent a lot of time waiting on the elevator. I guess I did not read the fine print because I discovered I did not get breakfast (and they have a great breakfast). However, the manager was very kind and gave me some tickets so I could eat. I was not unhappy with this hotel, but don't make the fine print so so fine!

Hotel was ok for the price. The smoke detector kept going off so we call the front desk for them to say there was a malfunction in the system. Elevator was also out of order for a few hours during system malfunction. The hotel was near an airport so you hear planes landing and taking off. We never got our room serviced and had to request for clean towels from housekeeping. The bed was so uncomfortable that my husband woke up with back pains. Also the pillows were too small. Overall it was in a good location and we met alot of really nice people. Because of the price and location we would stay again but I would bring my own pillows.

Everything was very good. No problems. Very clean and comfortable.

Great amenities for a Holiday Inn - indoor pool, loby bar, restaurant, etc. Loby area is very clean and relatively new with lots of seating. Rooms a nice just a little worn. The elevator is a bit slow to move and only very firm pillows are available. Overall clean, safe, and conveniently located. It is directly beside the airport so be aware of noise if you are a light sleeper.

Holiday Inn Norfolk was a terrific choice. The staff (from drivers to Concierge to restaurant) were friendly and helpful. The room was very well appointed and clean. The bed was comfy and clean, no icky, quilten bedspread. They had HBO. The food at the restaurant was a surprise. Very tasty. We are wine snobs and found two good glasses of red wine. Great location. I would like to pay a little less for a Holiday Inn, but I have no complaints. Great ending to a family trip.

Would def. say here again. Friendly staff, close to the airport. overall good experience.

Nice stay. Hotel is centrally located with quick access to resturants and shopping. Spa was out of order but pool was still open to guest.

Very good hotel; well located. Restaurant is poor but staff is good

Absolutely horrid!!! The service and attitude of wait staff was pathetic. We left 10 hours after arriving...made a reservation with Marriot! That was the smartest thing I ever did...definitely made up for the train wreck at Holiday Inn Select!

Was there for my son's college graduation and commissioning as an officer in the Army. Room was perfect, hotel clean, great breakfast buffet. Just one problem - they didn't clean room one day and when I told front desk clerk and just asked for towels, etc till it can get cleaned the next day, it took another phone call to find out where my towels were. She lied and told me they came to my room to deliver them. Not true; never came; we were in room all night. She even hung up on me when I told her no one came. Well, one bad employee shoudn't make anyone's stay uncomfortable and ruin the hotel's reputation. Housekeeping was kind and made up for the mistake. I suggested they counsel the front desk clerk about her customer interface. All in all, I'd stay again! Hope that front desk learns to be honest and accommodating when I go back.

Staff very friendly. Hotel room has seen better days - scuff marks and dirty walls, stained carpet. My room did not have a remote or an internet cable, the soda machine was out of bottled water and the ice machine was super loud.

Hotel Lobby was well kept. The room needed update, glass doors & windows needed cleaning.I was expecting or hoping this hotel would be nicer.

We always use this hotel when visiting family in the area. It is so close to the airport, and yet convenient to other area attractions. It has comfortable rooms and great amenities. Particularly good is the decision to go entirely smoke-free throughout the hotel. Previously, when the bar was open, one was greeted with the smell of tobacco smoke in the lobby. Yeckk!

We were snowed in and couldn't leave. They even provided FREE breakfast for all of the people in the hotel.
