W/Fully fenced backyard this is the perfect spot for you and your furry friends! (pre approval req. + pet fee) Sorry, no cats or puppies allowed. Fully stocked kitchen, W/D + WiFi!

Welcome to True South Cottage in Norfolk! Skip the hotel and come stay in our completely renovated, spacious and charming cottage that is perfect for your group (of up to 6) to enjoy the beach or to be close to the bases. Located in a quiet neighborhood with 3 bedrooms (all with queen beds) and 2 full bathrooms. Cook your heart out with a fully stocked kitchen. You are going to love the backyard as you step out of the kitchen to a spacious, well-maintained backyard space with a grill. Our central location makes it easy to get to all neighboring cities in Hampton Roads and the best of Norfolk. Dogs allowed with prior approval and $15/day (per dog) pet fee.

Entire home and yard are yours to use! Garage is off limits to guests.
-No smoking allowed (weed or cigarettes) - evidence will incur a $500 minimum fine. Please smoke away from the home away from windows or doors and dispose of cigarette butts properly.

-Any visitors must also be listed in the guest count. Minimum fine of $50 per person per night will apply for any undisclosed guests.

-Please observe a 9 p.m.- 8 a.m. quiet hour for our neighbors. They are our utmost priority to continue to operate short term rentals for years to come. Noise violations are taken seriously and will have one courtesy warning before removal without repayment for nights unspent.

-Our place is not for parties. $500 minimum fine for parties. No refund will be given for nights unspent if we are forced to terminate the reservation due to a party.

- Undisclosed pets will incur a minimum $250 fine plus any extra cleaning charges.

- No refunds will be given for COVID-19 or weather related cancellations. Please consider purchasing trip insurance that covers any unforeseen circumstances. Please note during hurricane season our area is prone to inclement weather.

- $75 per hour charge for not checking out on time. Please communicate if you need more time, if we can accommodate we will not charge a fee.

- Ice makers are an extra amenity and no refunds will be given if they are not functioning properly.

- Any cleaning or maintenance issues must be addressed to the host. We must be able to attempt to fix the issue before offering refunds. If an issue is not addressed during the stay, no refunds will be provided.

-Stays over 60 days will require a clean every 30 days included in your booking fee.

*An application, screening, signed lease and deposit is required for 90+ day rentals-please inquire for more details. Bookings over 90 days are brokered by Sojourn Realty.

- Guest agrees to complete a third-party encrypted ID verification independent of the platform booked on for security purposes. If the guest does not complete the verification or the host is not comfortable with the screening results, host may cancel the reservation with full refund to the guest.

- Please note that we do not do shoveling or snow removal. Use caution in case of these situations, as we are not to be held liable.

Sierra is an excellent host. The house was perfect for our four day stay in Norfolk. Great location. Sweet tree lined neighborhood. The house was very comfortable, spacious, neat and clean. We had a truly enjoyable stay at this property. The home was very clean, comfortable, and well cared for, which made it easy to settle in and feel relaxed right away. The location was excellent—just a short distance from many of Norfolk’s beautiful local beaches—so we were able to spend plenty of time by the water without any hassle.What really stood out, though, was Sierra. She was extremely accommodating and attentive, making the entire process—from booking to check-out—smooth and stress-free. The host was very receptive and house was rented without a hitch! Farther from the beach than planned but so worth it! It was clean, had a large driveway so I didn't have to worry about maneuvering or backing a 6' trailer. The house is close to everything you might need. There were TVs if you wanted to watch. The kitchen seemed to have most of what you'd need if cooking/making drinks, etc. appliances were modern and clean. Beds were comfortable, linens clean and in good condition. Shower had great pressure! Fenced backyard was huge for our furbabies, there was a large grill we didn't utilize. Neighborhood was beautiful and quiet. It was about a 3 minute drive to Bay Oaks Park where we parked to walk over to the beach. You could also walk dogs to a closer beach in about 20 minutes. This was a gem of a find and we were lucky it was available on short notice. We also found a pet sitter through Rover who was close & willing to watch the dogs while we got our boat tour in.

You know a property is spot-on when your first impression is, "I could absolutely live here!" The attention to detail was phenomenal. There was plenty of room for our 2.and 3yo to move about and play. The main bedroom downstairs had a queen sized bed, a chest, a dresser, a recliner, and still had plenty of room for 2 pack-and-plays. Amenities included: 4 rolls of toulet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, dish soap, dishwasher liquid, full-sized shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. One closet surprised is with beach towels, beach chairs, and an umbrella! We loves the back deck and yard space. Perfect for playing cards while.our boys ran aroubd with their balls and bubbles. Neighborhood was quiet and safe. We were 11 minutes from the VA Zoo, Walmart, and a plethera of restaurants. Only a 25 minute drive to VA beach. Cant say enough positive things about this property. Highly recommend. We will definitely be booking again soon.

Fantastic cottage stay

Property was just as advertised. Cute little home with all the modern conveniences in a nice neighborhood. Kitchen was modern with a lot of storage space and the bedrooms were the perfect size. The home had a really nice deck and back yard and the property manager was very attentive and stayed in contact with us during our stay to ensure we had everything we needed.

Baby’s first birthday

Great grandparents, grandmom, Aunt and Uncle all traveled to Norfolk, VA, from SE Pennsylvania for the first birthday of our great granddaughter, granddaughter, niece. The house was in a great location to meet our needs - only 10 minutes from the party and for a meet up the day after. Enjoyed our time there - would come back!

Fun Family Vacation

This home was just as advertised. Everything we needed to feel comfortable. Especially love the soft soap provided in kitchen and bathroom. Communication with owner was easy and they responded quickly when I contacted them about a small issue with birds building a nest in the dryer vent. Didnt want any birds to be injured. Fenced in backyard was great for our four legged family member. Suggestions for local restaurants and attractions were very helpful. Would definitely stay at this home again.

Perfect home for family with pets

This is an adorable older saltbox type cottage updated just enough to be comfortable without losing its charm. Sierra and her co-hosts have thoughtfully added touches to assist those traveling with pets such as bowls, a crate and baby gates. The floors are new and resistant to paws prints. The fenced yard is lovely and made for a stress free trip for our pets. Most importantly, the location is great. Very central and in a neighborhood of tree lined streets with sidewalks I felt safe going out on my own walking our pooch. We hope to stay again!
