Our stay on the Rhine.

I honestly can't think of 1 negative thing to say about our stay. Excellent view of the Rhine, exceptional service from the staff and owner, and location was perfect with the train station nearby. We essentially were able to walk everywhere... Outstanding food there at the hotel, as well as the surrounding area. Perfect for us.

The hotel is charming and the staff lovely. Breakfast is lavish! If you seek a new, sleek space this is not for you, as two flights of stairs with luggage can be a challenge. Our room had a beautiful view but was a bit too crowded with furniture. However, the air conditioning was a gift in hot weather and not available in other hotels nearby.

Great view of the Rhein and wonderful staff

We had a wonderful two-night stay in April at the Rhein Hotel in Nierstein. The hotel owners and the staff were very helpful in our travel planning. Our room was spacious with a view of the river. Bathroom was well-appointed and clean. Mini-bar available with snacks and drinks. Hotel restaurant was delicious. Enjoyed daily breakfast with eggs cooked to order. Onsite parking is available with charging for electric vehicles. Lots of wineries in the area (mostly open only on weekends or by appt). Nice outdoor patio with views of the river. Close to Frankfurt. Hotel has no elevator and stairs are narrow so pack lightly.

Awesome hotel, but not suited for summer heat.

The room I got was on the top floor with an amazing view of the Rhein. Unfortunately heat rises and the room was unbearably hot even with a fan provided and bringing my own fan (I'm aware most older European hotels don't have A/C). Both nights of sleep were very uncomfortable even with the room being great.

Try not to stay here.

It is truly not a standard hotel. It is not a safe place to stay. There are no stores to buy necessary things. I (Indian American) did not find suitable for my test. I did not see any indicated fire escape route. Phone and wifi service ify. Staff were decent.

Best home away from home ever!

This was our fifth time to stay at the Rhine-Hotel. We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. The staff are helpful and friendly, the breakfast is delicious and substantial, the rooms are clean and offer all the necessities for a comfortable stay.

A nosiy hotel far from Frankfurt city centre

I think this hotel is overrated. This is a three-star hotel. My stay was fine. However, it took me quite a long time to get to this hotel since it is not located in central Frankfurt. Even though, this hotel is located by the river with nice views of the river, it is also located next to a motorway and therefore it makes it noise. It was a bit bizarre to find on the bed a pair of ear plugs to get to sleep. Furthermore, I found bizarre to see mirrors on the ceiling...

Fantastic service

I would like to thank Platen, his Son and staff for an excellent stay. Nothing was to much for them, they would always offer help and go out of there way to offer an answer to any questions. My only comment for the room I was in was the bed which was very hard and not my normal choice. However, this is one thing that Platen committed to resolving on my next visit. A place that I would stay again.
