We stayed for one week at this lovely hotel. It is in a good location, ideal for the promenade (about 15minute walk) and for the train station ! It is a lovely traditional building and the rooms (although small) are well equipped, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was adequate and the staff were friendly enough. We would recommend and would go here again.

The hotel is centrally located and is having a french charme. The room is small but clean and the bed is very good. This is a old building converted in a hotel but the decorations, the old elevator and the classique furniture in the lobby gave me a nice feeling. The breakfast room is too small and the breakfast was simple but I think that is a nice hotel for South of France if you look for a simple hotel centrally located and the budget is under 100 Euro per room per night

Stayed at this hotel as 3 couples April 18-21 and it met our needs perfectly. One of the main reasons to pick this hotel was the location being only 10min at most to the old town and the promenade which it was. Everything was walkable and the main train station was 15min away which we used to go to monaco. All the staff were encountered were very friendly from the receptionists to the cleaners and the lady looking after the breakfast room. Breakfast was a decent enough choice to set us up for a mornings walking about. Yes the bedrooms are on the smaller side but if your travellers like us who are out all day how often are you using your room. All in all this hotel suited our purposes exactly for our 3 night stay.

I have to say I was disappointed in this hotel which really has decent reviews. The public spaces in the hotel are lovely. Our room is nice enough but quite small - if you want to sit at the desk your roomate has to climb over the bed to get to the bathroom. This is supposedly a non-smoking hotel but there is a persistent smell of cigarettes wafting in. The bed is a small double, so if you are used to queen, you might want to request 2 twins. The bedding is nice but the duvet too heavy for the weather and with a duvet it's either all covers or none. The bathroom is tiny and if you have an elderly person or even someone who is not limber like a 20 year old, getting into the shower/tub is really a challenge. It is a very high step in and no hand holds or bath mat on the slick surface. We were unable to figure out the heating or cooling; nothing seemed to work, though the TV worked fine. On a positive note, it was fun to hear a flamenco dance class in progress somewhere up the street. Also, we discovered we're about 4 blocks from the tram which will take you to the Old Town or train station.

Simple hotel with smallish room (though normal for France). Breakfast was simple but adequate. Tasty bread. WiFi works well in room. Friendly staff and fantastic that its walking distance everywhere. Some great restaurants and wine bars nearby.

Good Comfortable rooms, a little bit on the small size but fine when you exploring Nice. V close to old town, walking distance. Superb location Friendly staff Nice garden to sit out and lovely drawing room.

Service was excellent and they have an onsite parking for a fee. It may be easier if you have a small car. Location is great, everything is within walking distance. We did not get the breakfast because we wanted to try different places around the premises.

I stayed at the hotel for a business trip and had two near death experiences. One, being the room card reader electrical wires were exposed. Meaning every time I put my card in the "reader" to turn the lights on I would get a shock. Two, on the first night the fire alarms went off at 3am. As I went to leave my the door handle came off in my hand so I was trapped in my room. I had to get someone to open the door from the outside. Not a nice experience at all. I spoke with the manager at reception at 8am the next morning, who just laughed at the situation and said an engineer would be sent out that day. I returned later that day at 4:30pm and nothing had been done to the room. At this point I decided to move hotels and received a rude attitude from management and no refund on my room. Incredible shocking service and a dangerous hotel. Do not stay there.

My girlfriend and I spent two nights at Hotel Vendome to celebrate our engagement anniversary in Nice. Our stay was so great. The hotel has a sort of "antique glamour", although it is very confortable and properly furnished. It is very well located since it is approximately 10 minutes walk away from the Promenade and 5 minutes from the city centre. The staff is always available and polite. Perhaps, breakfast is a little bit over-estimated in terms of price/quality ratio, but very good as well. I definitely reccomend it!

We stayed in this hotel for two nights and found it to be very noisy, the doors were constantly banging and as a result I had 2 sleepless nights. Would not recommend to stay there. The noise comes from outside as well as it is located on a very busy road.
