Perfect location, clean rooms, nice staff. Compared to other hostels this one was the most clean and flexible. Great prices for such pristine location. Young travelers, so it is easy to make friends there!
Hotel in great location! Just walk through a little park and your at the sea front. Easy to get to from airport via bus(also very cheap) Situated right between Louis Vuitton and amarni shops. Has quite a posh looking interior despite only being two stars. Some reception staff were very nice but others not so. They offer free beach towels at reception I was in share 4 with bathroom. Beds were nice and there was lockers to store valuables in. Room needs more sockets for charging your devices.
The place is located beside LV with only the door visible and a sign which made me lost a bit. The room is quite small for 4 people sharing. Bathroom is ok. Breakfast only if you pay and will only be sent to the room so I advise just to go buy food from outside and stock the fridge provided with some food to eat. The place is about 5 minutes walk to the tram and just near the beach in the center of all the high end signature brands if you love shopping which I'm not really a fan since I don't have the money. ;) but I do appreciate the front desk lady she's a big help and speaks good English.
Our excitement about staying in such a perfectly located hotel was short lived. Unbeknownst to us, our reservations had been cancelled. They did give us a room, that slept 3, one if us had to sleep with the strangers. They told us they were not a hotel, but a hostel, even though they are listed as a hotel. The room was extremely small, with incredibly little furniture that was very old. Beds were very old and uncomfortable. The bathroom was clean, but the shower didn't drain. The staff were as accommodating as they could be. Location was great, but one must understand, it is NOT A HOTEL!
We just checked in and were greeted by really warm and friendly staff. The attendant gave us clear instructions to where we would be getting our bus to the Nice airport. This Hotel is located within minutes to the beach and also Galleries Lafayette and other luxury boutiques such as Armani and Chanel. It is easy to find. The accommodation although not the more modern is more than acceptable given the price and value for money. We paid 90 euros for one night for a double and single bed in the one room.
Hotel Paradis is staffed by FABULOUS, HELPFUL, STAFF....The rooms are clean albeit basic but fulfilled all that one needs on a budget! The breakfast was brought to our room at a time to suit us and was fresh and scrummy. The only problem we encountered was on the last night....TWO VERY NOISY GIRLS IN THE ROOM NEXT DOOR....we heard all their conversation ! The walls must be very thin!
The location couldn't have been better. Close to the shops and restaurants, beside some lovely green areas. Very close to the beach. The rooms were small and very basic. Shower water very hard to keep at the same temperature as hot water kept running out until you change the shower settings again. We were staying in a room beside the staircase and it was very noisy day and night. We could hear every footstep and conversation as people climbed the stairs. Some of the reception staff were very friendly and gave us tips and advice of what to do in Nice. However, there was one blonde girl who worked there who was very unhelpful. We asked her (in French) could she ring a taxi for us to the airport and she said 'no'. I thought she misunderstood me so I repeated my question and she said no again. She told us there would be no taxis for a least 30-40 mins because we hadn't ordered one. We asked her to ring anyway to check. She went to give us the number for a taxi rank and I said 'Could you ring for us please?' and she said no. I asked why not and she offered no response. I pointed at the reception phone and asked her to ring from that and she very grumpily did so. She asked the person on the phone could she order a taxi for 2 people from the hotel, they asked when for, she said in 5 minutes, they obviously said they couldn't and she hung up, without asking us if we still wanted to order one. We asked about the bus but she said t was only every 30 minutes maybe. We asked where a taxi rank would be and sh said she didn't know. So we left with our bags, having visions of walking along the Promenade des Anglais dragging our cases hoping to see a taxi. Literally across the green area there was a taxi rank full of taxis and our driver told us there are ALWAYS taxis here.
for me everything went well, what I like is how well located the hotel is near everything: Masséna, the beach, the old town, the bus to the airport ... if you want to walk to all places is the best choice. the room is quite spacious and the furniture looked new, I think they have recently renovated or something. The room overlooked the street, but not very noisy both nights I was there I slept well. The staff is nice and price is fine. I went off season so it worked out very cheap. I recommend it if you are traveling to Nice!!!
The hotel it's great for couples, friends or even if you are travelling a lone. It's really well located in the city center and also a few metres from the sea. The staff it's really helpfully. We spend a really nice time at Paradis.
really good place to spend your nights while in Nice, close to the beach and city center, friendly and helpfull staff...will definitely go back there...the place is clean and fare prices, they even serve breakfast, so thank you Hotel Paradis for a good vacation untill next time!
