The location is perfect for beach, old town, terminus to Monaco, and for a panoramic view of the area (stairs 30 steps away). Breakfast is great, "just right" terrace is super. Nathalie and Nicolas at reception are process. No complaints - had a great time.

My stay at La Perouse was beyond exceptional. Perhaps one of the best places where I have been in the last years. Rooms: make sure you get a room with a sea view, preferably a suite with a larger balcony. The hotel is located in a truly unique location, where you can see the entire nice from a “cliff”. Views are breathtaking. Staff: beyond friendly and helpful. Restaurant: unfortunately without full sea views, yet great cuisine and very nice breakfast. We paid 24 euros per person. Worth it. Gym: rather tiny but offering the best possible view. Location: as best as it gets in Nice.

We were delighted with our stay at La Perouse. Pleasant room overlooking a pretty garden area with lemon and orange trees. It was quiet and peaceful with a wonderful breakfast. The staff at reception were so friendly and very helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Small things made a difference; I forgot to pack an electricity adaptor and Nathalie and Paul sorted one for me without hesitation. We regret that we didn't eat at the restaurant but it was a little pricey. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

This is not a bland international hotel. It is very French and has a character and charm all of its own. We had a room with a balcony with a wonderful view. Waking up with the light of the Mediterranean pouring in is a lovely. Standing on our balcony, I understood why Matisse fell in love with Nice! Then coffee and croissants with the friendly staff in attendance completed the perfect start to each day. And, within a few steps of the front door, there is the Promenade and the Old Town. What more could any traveler to Nice want?

Finding your way around in this hotel is a bit tricky so don't drink too much. We enjoyed a spectacular view of the sea with a gorgeous balcony that barely got used in the cool February weather. The rooftop jacuzzi is worth exploring. We were warned off of the pool as it's unheated but also enjoyed the sauna despite having to walk through the restaurant in our bathrobes during dinner.

Visited Nice for a long weekend break. Booked this hotel after review in Telegraph and good Tripadvisor reviews. Excellent location (5 mins walk into the old town) staff friendly and very helpful with details about local events, recommendations for dinner, bus times etc, etc. Would definitely stay again!

The staff is wonderful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location could not be better. More varied fruits and other food at breakfast would be nice. Overall, we were very satisfied and hope to return soon.

We stayed from 18 th to 22 nd for 4 nights it’s a beautiful boutique hotel from our balcony you can see sea view the room is well maintained breakfast is little less of food variety but nice stuff service is excellent we loved this place and will come back again for sure ..

We stayed at La Perouse for 3 nights, 17th to 20th Feb 2018. It was excellent: efficient and courteous staff, who all seemed to have very good English. The room was large - we booked a superior room without a view - it had a king size bed, sofa, 2 large chests of drawers and a large outside terrace with table and chairs. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't good enough to want to sit out - though we did have one very sunny day which allowed us to take advantage of the open air roof top Jacuzzi. The layout of the hotel is somewhat eccentric - because of its location - but this only adds to the charm. There are plenty of lifts and we did not have any problems orienting ourselves to the place. Location is fantastic - very close to the old town, to the Promenade des Anglais and to the harbour area. Breakfast is really good - fresh pastries, bread, cheese, cold meats, yoghurt, fruit and hot, fresh coffee. I was really impressed and would happily go back. A nice touch was there social responsibility project, where by they ask if you would like contribute to a charity they support - no pressure at all - but I think it reflects well on this small hotel chain.

Great location 150 metres from the old town, on the front with (at the top on the 6th floor) the best views of Nice, very nice and (usually) very efficient staff, pretty (and adequately large) room with cute views of the sea and, amazingly for such an old hotel, a power shower as good as the one we have at home, and classy, nicely decorated interiors. Breakfast was good with scrambled eggs included, and dinner was also a pleasant, relaxed surprise. Next time in Nice we will be back.
