First of all, I won't ever stay here again unless the WiFi is fixed. On average the throughput was around 14k (dial-up speed). It really is a reason to stay somewhere else. You feel like you are in the Third World in terms of internet access since there is no option to upgrade to paid, faster internet option. There's Ethernet in the room too, but its no faster. If you have any work to do, if you need to Skype anyone or if you want to catch up on social media, this is NOT the hotel for you. That said, the apartments at this hotel are a little small but generally pleasing. There's a mini kitchen in the 1 bedroom suite I was staying in. The room design has the WC in the entrance hall and the bathroom without a toilet as an ensuite. The kitchenette in my room was pretty basic with little in the way of storage. There didn't seem to be any sharp knives e.g. for cutting bread / meat etc. But a set of 4 forks, knives, spoons etc. The living room has a small balcony looking into a quadrangle but no seats on the balcony and frankly its not that pleasing to look out to. The towels were worn and thin. In fact I don't think I've stayed in a West-European hotel with such poor towels. The bedding is also pretty lack-lustre but to its credit, this hotel is generally quiet and I've been able to sleep soundly. This property lets itself down in so many ways, which is a pity as conceptually an apartment-hotel is perfect for a stay in Nice of around a week. However I feel absolutely trapped by the lack of usable internet and no excuse from the hotel (e.g. the hotel is full at the moment) can justify the poor level of internet service.

Went there during the low season for 2 nights so we just needed a place to spend the night. Located right next to the supermarket and a McDonald's as well as a bus stop so very easy to get to and from it. Since we were in the low season time the area felt a bit deserted at night.

I had a one week holiday in Nice with my girlfriend and we stayed in this hotel. We paid the 'city tax' with cash on arrival and they forced us to pay it again when checking out. Also not a single cleaning on 7 day stay?? Located near a good supermarket and train station. Far away from everything else.

For the price, this is a nice hotel. Our tour group(this hotel takes in a lot of tour groups) stayed here for 4 nights on our stop through the French Riviera. The location was good and the old town of nice and the beach are only a 20 minute walk. There rooms were nice, clean and the location is very safe. The staff were very friendly. It is definitely a European Hotel and I struggled with the shower with the hand nozzle. The breakfast buffet in the morning was horrible with runny eggs but this may be because we are used to something different in the states. There are numerous bakeries around the hotel so we went there each morning.

The rooms are modern and clean. The efficiency kitchen is nice. There is not daily cleaning service. They cleaned our room every other day. Wifi is slow or frequently down. At breakfast they host large tour groups and the breakfast room is not sized or staffed to handle the groups. Plan on eating elsewhere. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Stayed 5 midweek nights end of May (pool open- appreciated by the children) in 408: separate double bedroom plus sofa bed in living room / kitchinette. Suited us v well- self-catered breakfast is easy and cheap with Carrefour across the road. Had to buy cafetière; made do with supplied steak knife for chopping. Ok for short stay and v basic catering. No concerns re cleanliness (we had housekeeping x2 visits during our stay which was nice). Staff v helpful (except re cafetière- odd for France...) recommendations for less touristy restaurants were good (le pin d'alep behind the old port was great value and v tasty) Location excellent- no noise pollution as we overlooked inner courtyard; temperature control v good; getting around on foot and public transport is easy and cheap. WiFi adequate- copes with multiple devices per room.... I would stay here again.

I booked via for a family stay in July this year. I received a confirmation but then a few hours later was told my credit card was invalid. Then the booking was cancelled. Twice I checked, updated my details in case there had been an error & even contacted my credit card company. They confirmed they had authorised the transactions both times they were requested. But neither Hipark nor have responded AT ALL to my many emails. I have now been forced to make alternative arrangements but have not received an assurance that they won't be taking money from my credit card either. I have been made to feel I am in the wrong, yet have tried to follow their instructions exactly. I am very disappointed to have been so poorly treated when the fault lies entirely with them. I won't be using either Hipark or in future. And I advise you not to either!

Travelled late May for a 4 day break with Easyjet. Staff were very friendly and informative, giving us lots of tips and information. We liked everything about the hotel, but we weren't keen on the room we had (604). It was clean and comfortable with a very good bathroom, but the layout meant that the bed was in a very cramped area and, because the kitchen was along the side of the bed, it was like sleeping in a kitchen. The hotel seems to be in the busiest area of the city for traffic which can be noisy from about 7am. On the plus side it is ideally located for the Nice Riquier railway station (it's not necessary to go to the main Gare de Ville station to get around) and the huge shopping centre across the road from the hotel is very convenient. The breakfast is sufficient but could be better. We didn't use the pool even though the pool and pool area were very nice. It's a short walk to the Acropolis tram stop which will take you quickly and cheaply to all the major points of the city (€1.50 per trip or €5 for a 24hr ticket). It is €6 to catch a bus from the airport to the city centre. The people of Nice are very friendly and pleasant and the City is very beautiful, if we go again we would definitely consider the hotel.

Room 320. balcony front of hotel, good location. very clean, helpful staff, location great for the Nice Requier train station. From airport take the 98 bus to as near Garibaldi square as possible and then walk up the main street alongside the Tram lines to Rue Barla , turn right into this road and walk 200 yards to 'Crep & Go' turn into this road and the Hi Park is at the top opposite the Carrefour. Hotel was a 20 minute walk from the beach, 5 minute walk to the Requier train station and 15 minutes from Old Town. catch the train everywhere and must sees are Monacco, VileFranche ( for the beach) and Cannes .

This place gets very mixed views but I really can't praise it enough ok it's not a four star hotel on the sea front but it's in the real part of nice where you can live like a local the location is fantastic two mins from tram stop apollias five min walk to Nice rique station where u can take trains up and down the rivera the staff are lovely the prices very good especially for nice the harbour and old town very close either by walking or one or two stops on tram if I had to be very picky I would have liked a bread knife in kitchen as obviously it's not something you can bring with you and don't bother with breakfast there's lots of great bakeries around but do go it's a real hidden gem

nice room but anything extra charged

Nice comfortable room, nice bathroom. Just a little disappointing to find additional Charge for an extra soap or shampoo and a coffee at reception and also cleaning charge if kitchenette not cleaned to same standard as on entry ... Would expect to be able to leave a glass in the sink without additional charge.

The suit is very nice and spacious for an european hotel.

fantastic family getaway

We stayed seven nights in one of the suites on the 6th floor. The room interior was nice, with impeccable view of surrounding hills. Pool on the 6th floor is great for kids. A Carrefour supermarket is located right across the street and the hotel is just five minutes walk to the Acropolis tram station. A nice kid's play area is close by, towards the Riquier gare. For a seven nights stay, I would have expected room cleaning to be covered by the hotel, but the service concept at Hipark differs slightly from that offered for a conventional hotel room. All in all, we had a fantastic and enjoyable stay at Hipark and we shall be back during the summer of 2014!

clean and pleasant but drawbacks

The hotel is very clean, but the rooms lack amenities of a four-star hotel, like in-room WiFi. Be prepared to spend a lot of time in the lobby to get online. The breakfast room is drab. There is no restaurant or bar. The location is in a middle class residential neighborhood with no notable sites or shopping convenient. The TV selection is below par. It's really good for families with children when four people can stay comfortably in the two-room suites.

great location, comfortable affordable room

Really liked this apt/hotel. We had a suite which consisted of a queen bed (made up of 2 twins)in a bedroom, a bathroom and a living room with a dining area plus a kitchenette with glasses, silverware, plates, etc and a dishwasher and refrigerator. It was very quiet (double paned glass) and very clean. Beds were comfortable although on the hard side. Very well located between 2 or 3 buses about 2 blocks away on one side and the tram about 2-3 blocks away on the other. You could even walk to the old city in about 15-20 min if you wanted. Across the street from a supermarket. In addn, there were several patisseries and shops selling cheese, etc. nearby. Bought an cheap SIM card for use in France to make intl calls on the side street next to hotel for about 10E. Would definitely stay here again and would strongly recommend this hotel/apt. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Two computers in lobby for guest use. Plenty of room to unpack (we were staying a week). Be aware that if you stay more than 2 days and less than 8 days, there is no housekeeping or changed towels or sheets or replaced toilet paper. You can pay separately for housekeeping (it was quite expensive) and can exchange towels at the front desk for .80E each. There is a washer and dryer (costs about about 8E) for guest use. If I were staying here again, I would pack some dish detergent in a tiny bottle, an extra roll of toilet paper, a few paper towels and napkins. There was a corkscrew and beer bottle opener in room. It was nice not to have to eat every meal out.

definitely recommend for this rental apartment concept- nice clean neighbourhood

-Great location! Quick & easy tram access to the beach & old town. Clean and quiet, real neighborhood where Nicoisians live. Enjoyed much better than my last stay near the beach area (commercial). -Greatly helpful and welcoming staff around the clock! -with kitchen & balcony, great to fix breakfast & picnic lunch with groceries bought right in the 50 m vicinity. -sofa bed for two is comfortable & big which was my worry. -this is a well equipped new place. My cleanliness complaint goes for the lack of daily maid service as it is a rental apt concept and cleaning was not done to my stan
