Very nice hotel, in a good location. Room was clean and modern. Nice restaurant and bar on the roof (a bit on the pricey side though), with a great view of the city. Nice clean, well appointed lobby. Decent breakfast buffet (again a bit pricey). Would stay there again if in Nice.
I travel solo, always have; this is the first time I've feared for my safety during my travels while in my own hotel room. The staff is questionable at best. Great view but make sure to double check your invoice on the way out. Almost the same money, go to Le Meridian instead.
As a family of 4 we had two rooms, both very small. Unstable water temperature in bath. No coffee making facility, but an electric kettle supplied upon request. Overprized breakfast; we tried it only once and thereafter made our own. Best item is the location. Fine roof terasse, but it would be nice if you could spend time there without having to buy from the bar! Very helpful front desk staff.
Great location. Nice room and a great view of you get a room with sea view. The hotel is really in the center and everything is in walking distance. Also the old town. Friendly staff and clean room. One complain. Didn't like to have to pay 6€ to keep my own bottle in the fridge. Never don that before.
Considering having Vuitton and Cartier side by side to the hotell you would expect more from a 4*. Paying aproximately half the full price of the room cause low season makes the stay just Ok. Rooms are big. Location is great. Beds are correct. Bathroom really old and not so fresh. breakfast is not fun. Nothing really exiting to eat. Not good coffee. Would not come back and wish I followed trip advisors reviews. They're mostly right.
Stopped here on our trip through Southern France and were absolutely amazed at how great the location was and how large and clean the rooms were. The staff was also very friendly and helped us book a table for dinner! The terrace bar has an amazing view of the ocean and the B4 plaza and park! Great choice for a great price!
I have never been in the poor 4 star hotel like this. The first problem was bad smell in the corridors! Lighting in the room was very dim! Breakfast was very basic, repetitive, overpriced and the dishes was not clean!!! Weather pressure for taking shower was very poor and we had to stay more than 5 minutes for warm showers! There is no tea or caffe making facilities in the room! The AC was not working properly! But the staffs where so friendly and welcoming. The location of hotel was very good. Little balcony with a nice view of garden and sea. This hotel has capability to be a real 4 star hotel if the management cares of the critics...
This hotel is in a ideal position to explore the city. Myself and my friend stayed for 3 nights 17th-20th March for a girls get away. We arrived a 11am the reception staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. Our room wasn't ready until 3pm but they were happy to deal with the check in formalities and store our luggage whilst we went straight out to explore. Upon our return in the afternoon the room was ready and it was just a case of collecting our luggage and key. The room We were worried after hearing mixed reviews on trip advisor but our room was fine. We opted for a superior with garden view (again after hearing bad reviews about the standard rooms) the room was clean and bright, big bathroom with bath and shower, sufficient towels and toiletries and hairdryer. We had a small balcony with fabulous view of the park and seafront. My only gripe was at night it was noisy which is expected as is situated on main road and no tea or coffee facilities. This would not stop me rebooking this hotel but from a personal point of view I would have liked to be able to make a coffee first thing in the morning as I'm a early riser. Breakfast was good varied selection croissants, pastries, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, bread, cold meats and cheeses also selection of hot food tea and coffee. Fresh food which was plentiful and good enough to set you up for a sat exploring. Overall I would recommend this hotel as perfect base. We were room 307 on 3rd floor and based on my experience I would stay again. We spent 90% of our time exploring and only used the hotel to sleep, shower and breakfast it's in the ideal location to explore the city
This hotel is in a great location, old town to the left, the newer city behind with the seafront a one minute walk away. It is ideal as a base for your stay, easy access to buses and the Nice bus tour stops just a few steps away. Loads of places to eat nearby whatever to suit your budget. Breakfast gives you a great start to the day with lots of choice and the breakfast waiting staff are excellent. Hotel is modern and very clean but our room was a bit dated without tea/coffee making facilities, double check what is in your room. Bathroom was clean and good supply of hot water. Front of house reception staff could be a bit frosty and not always welcoming. Overall we would use again but maybe upgrade our room.
Excepting the position and the view, everything is to be changed. The hotel is very old, and hasn't been refurbished in the last 10-15 years at least. At every floor you are "welcomed"with a horrible smell, a mix between old carpet and blocked canalisation. That is for starters. Once in the room, you will notice the cracks in the ceiling. The balcony has sliding doors that do not close properly, so forget about a secured room, and you have also all the noise from the street as bonus. If you try to make a shower, be prepared to choose between very hot and very cold water. Mixing them is impossible. The wi-fi is poor. Be ready to party all the night with your neighbors, as the rooms have no noise isolation. The breakfast is poor, and very far from what should be a 4 star hotel choice. I wonder who gave them the 4 stars. In my opinion the real ranking should be eventually 2 star. And the prices should be accordingly. A place to avoid until a complete refurbishment.
