This hotel has a great central location & the rooms are nice. But.... the rooftop terrace right above our room meant at 11:30pm every single night (weekend & weekday) there was furniture being dragged around the floor, what seemed like barrels being dropped, so loud we could not sleep. We're told this happens every night while cleaning & they can't (won't?) do anything about it. Otherwise, the hotel is good - so long as you don't want to sleep before well past midnight (maybe book floor 2 if you do).
We got the A98 bus from the airport, from stand 5 which got us to our destination in approx 25mins including negotiating the extensive roadworks along the promenade. Arrived here on Friday afternoon for a fabulous weekend celebrating our wedding anniversary. It was a little the difficult to find as we walked past it twice but it was an adventure and lovely. The reception and breakfast area are superb and very well done. The welcome was spot on and this kept up throughout our stay. The local restaurants are excellent and cater for all. Lots of vegetarian dishes available, certainty was not the case when I worked out there 10 years ago. Restaurant in hotel on rooftop is superb and known as one of the best in Nice. Will definitely visit again. We had 2 days there but could have done with 1 more day as there is so much to see.
Great room helpful staff lovely rooftop bar and restaurant, all anyone could want.Hotel very good location very near to the old town,Nice has very good bus and rail connections to other locations and although I did use the transport there is plenty to do in Nice and some great restaurants
Having read other reviews we arrived feeling a bit wary, but the hotel was terrific, large room and bathroom, Good balcony with terrific views of the gardens opposite and the sea. This hotel enjoys a fantastic position a couple of hundred metres to the beach, the Old Town and the shopping centre. We took an expensive cab ride there, but realised that it is an easy flat walk of about 15 mins from the railway station.
Perfect location across from the park, one block from the sea, just down the street from the main plaza and right around the corner from great shops and restaurants. The top floor lounge/restaurant is very nice and has a great view. The rooms are spacious and clean. There are two problems: the walls are thin and you can here conversations from the next room, and there was no hot water. Ask for a room on the south side facing the park and sea.
We arrived a day earlier than our tour started. They were nice enough to keep us in the same room. Staff was friendly and breakfast variety was very good. Near old town, beach, The Castle and many shops and restaurants
Pros: Good locAtion (close to beach, restaurants, shopping, touristy areas) Fairly big and clean Friendly staff Easy access to public transport Beds fairly comfortable Quiet Cons They charge to use the in room minibar fridge for personal use. Yes, just opening the fridge will set you back 6 euros. Kind of ridiculous Slow wifi Elevator is small and takes a while at busy times
We recently stayed at here for a special break, with family. Being aware of this the hotel manager very kindly upgraded us to a room overlooking the gardens. The room itself was very large and comfortable, although a bit tired, but nothing that a lick of paint wouldn't sort out. The staff are very attentive and available for pretty much anything you might need. The breakfast options are continental or full breakfast, which is fairly standard, but for 10E and 20E respectively, quite expensive. One other thing, the hotel advertises satellite TV in all rooms, however this shows only world news, albeit on 40+ stations, but nothing else, so not strictly the impression it would give. But these just minor observations. We had a lovely time and enjoyed our stay.
Rooftop party everyday - very loud until 0.00 when you are lucky ... We stayed in the room with seaview and terrace. It is really the worst what can happen above is every day a party on the roof terrace !!! The rooms are not isolated so you really have a huge bass in the room. The best the receptions knows this by check in and offer you a downgrade. Says it is only one night - than you see that they host regularly parties. To the hotel itself - it is a bad 3 star hotel from the late nineties. Worn out carpets , no coffee machine... This is a really bad hotel - safe your money and go !!!!
I'm staying in this hotel right now and can hear the club next door - loud dance music at 11 pm. This is the second night in a row you can hear the club, so it's loud weeknights and weekends. Honestly, it's just not worth it.
