This is an old fashionable hotel. The reception, lobby and dining areas were very nice. These areas seem to have been somewhat restored. The breakfast didn't have the largest selection, - but whatever needed to have a nice meal. I had a large suite at the 5th floor, - with a nice balkony/terrace. The room and hotel was nice and clean, - though the upper floors might need some upgrading. The bar and terrace on the 6th floor (roof) was a nice place to sit down and relax with a glass of wine or beer. And the best thing was the location, - with short access to the city centre.

The hotel was great, clean and had a small but ok gym. It was also walking distance to the old town, the beach and public transportation. The staff was nice and helpful. The breakfast was a little too expensive but had the necessary items, and it was very convenient.

Our room was MASSIVE!!! A 2 minute walk to the promenade and close to restaurants and shops. The rooftop terrace was beautiful but if you are after a good meal best go elsewhere. Would recommend this to friends and family in a heartbeat.

The hotel itself is very nice, but there are certain corners of the rooms that aren't that tidy. Like our blankets that were literally dirty upon our arrival, but they changed them when we told them. This was our only disappointment. The breakfast was pretty good, the staff was awesome, and the view was fascinating. The hotel's location is just simply amazing. You can find everything in a 10-minute walking distance.

You could not find a better hotel for location, central for everything. The pictures we saw on line made us choose this hotel but our room was nothing like those shown. Good points - location, we found the staff on reception very helpful and friendly, our room was small but very clean, good size bathroom! Rooftop bar had amazing views. Bad points- we were on 5th floor, the corridor smelt and needs updating, we had a tiny balcony, view over rooftops. Shower above bath kept sliding down so was useless. No tea or coffee facilities. Bar prices very expensive! Cannot comment on food as we ate out, so many lovely places to eat in Nice. Having said this, the hotel suited our purpose for a long weekend as we were out most of the time, would not have been happy if we were staying any longer. A shame as has great potential. Would only stay again if the hotel rooms were updated to be honest. Location 5* Room 2* Service 2*

Visited here on a 3 day break as a last minute through monarch going bust.Hotel is in a great position near bars/restaurants and the beach (it is pebbly). The hotel is very clean and staff were always polite and helpful never had any problem with noise from other guests or the road, didn't eat here so can't comment on food did go on the roof terrace it was pleasant with a great view.I definitely would book here again without hesitation great hotel .

I can only speak to the service & room quality as we did not dine here. However, the rooftop is a great place for drinks & view. The service was accommodating for my family (including child age 5). They held our bags for our early arrival so we could go to the beach. They also reserved a taxi for our 4:45a departure. Rooms were clean & relatively spacious (by euro standards). Beware the 5 euro M&M’s in the room. Only complaint was pre-paid taxi at hotel desk, only to have driver request payment again at end of trip. Not sure if cabbie double-dipping or hotel.

First the good part. We opted for a terrace with sea view and were given a room on the 5th floor with a large balcony and a fabulous view over the park and sea. The room itself was tired looking and badly in need of refurbishment. The corridor outside the room had an unpleasant smell, at first we thought that this came from a tray of partially eaten food that sat for hours outside one of the rooms, but even after the tray was removed smells persisted, in the corridor and in the lifts. We didn't take the breakfast and friends told us that this was a good move. There is a €6 per stay charge if you put any personal items in the fridge. It's the first time that I've experienced that and it didn't help to endear us to what was an expensive slightly shabby hotel. We travel to Nice at least once a year and this was the first time that we'd stayed at this hotel, I doubt if we'll stay there again.

If you choose a room on 5th floor and terrasse you will get a very wonderful view of the mediterranean as well as the central parts of Nice. We did this time as well as before but - this room was a bit "shabby", not dirty but it needs renovation. I also think it was smaller than our two other stays here. I don't like it when you get downgraded as a regular customer. This is not a cheap hotel so - please surprise me in a positive way the next year. The best rooms are located underneath the Roof Top Bar. I think they close at around 23:30 - no problem for us. We are not "early-sleepers" when we are on vacation. The breakfast in the room was astonishing for a fruit maniac as myself. I really loved it! Summary: Room not as good as previous years - personnel more friendly and service minded - view on 5th floor is fantastic.

I chose that hotel because of the location and the ability to have a sea view at a price that is not stratospheric (where is the point of going to Nice if you cannot have a seaview ?). I appreciate that the hotel is making some efforts like treating you with macarons, but I think there is a lot of work to be done to upgrade the common areas and the rooms...
