I have never been in the poor 4 star hotel like this. The first problem was bad smell in the corridors! Lighting in the room was very dim! Breakfast was very basic, repetitive, overpriced and the dishes was not clean!!! Weather pressure for taking shower was very poor and we had to stay more than 5 minutes for warm showers! There is no tea or caffe making facilities in the room! The AC was not working properly! But the staffs where so friendly and welcoming. The location of hotel was very good. Little balcony with a nice view of garden and sea. This hotel has capability to be a real 4 star hotel if the management cares of the critics...
This hotel is in a ideal position to explore the city. Myself and my friend stayed for 3 nights 17th-20th March for a girls get away. We arrived a 11am the reception staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. Our room wasn't ready until 3pm but they were happy to deal with the check in formalities and store our luggage whilst we went straight out to explore. Upon our return in the afternoon the room was ready and it was just a case of collecting our luggage and key. The room We were worried after hearing mixed reviews on trip advisor but our room was fine. We opted for a superior with garden view (again after hearing bad reviews about the standard rooms) the room was clean and bright, big bathroom with bath and shower, sufficient towels and toiletries and hairdryer. We had a small balcony with fabulous view of the park and seafront. My only gripe was at night it was noisy which is expected as is situated on main road and no tea or coffee facilities. This would not stop me rebooking this hotel but from a personal point of view I would have liked to be able to make a coffee first thing in the morning as I'm a early riser. Breakfast was good varied selection croissants, pastries, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, bread, cold meats and cheeses also selection of hot food tea and coffee. Fresh food which was plentiful and good enough to set you up for a sat exploring. Overall I would recommend this hotel as perfect base. We were room 307 on 3rd floor and based on my experience I would stay again. We spent 90% of our time exploring and only used the hotel to sleep, shower and breakfast it's in the ideal location to explore the city
This hotel is in a great location, old town to the left, the newer city behind with the seafront a one minute walk away. It is ideal as a base for your stay, easy access to buses and the Nice bus tour stops just a few steps away. Loads of places to eat nearby whatever to suit your budget. Breakfast gives you a great start to the day with lots of choice and the breakfast waiting staff are excellent. Hotel is modern and very clean but our room was a bit dated without tea/coffee making facilities, double check what is in your room. Bathroom was clean and good supply of hot water. Front of house reception staff could be a bit frosty and not always welcoming. Overall we would use again but maybe upgrade our room.
Excepting the position and the view, everything is to be changed. The hotel is very old, and hasn't been refurbished in the last 10-15 years at least. At every floor you are "welcomed"with a horrible smell, a mix between old carpet and blocked canalisation. That is for starters. Once in the room, you will notice the cracks in the ceiling. The balcony has sliding doors that do not close properly, so forget about a secured room, and you have also all the noise from the street as bonus. If you try to make a shower, be prepared to choose between very hot and very cold water. Mixing them is impossible. The wi-fi is poor. Be ready to party all the night with your neighbors, as the rooms have no noise isolation. The breakfast is poor, and very far from what should be a 4 star hotel choice. I wonder who gave them the 4 stars. In my opinion the real ranking should be eventually 2 star. And the prices should be accordingly. A place to avoid until a complete refurbishment.
I was there for five days the hotel is very central near the shops also near the beach and a five minute walk to the casino we had a balcony and the room was clean and spacious the breakfast was very good and the staff was helpful I enjoyed the stay very much
Straight to the point. We were here on business. The meeting rooms werent up to scratch, the air conditioning (when turned on) smelt like sulpher. The staff (although friendly) do not know if they are coming or going. The rooms were musky and hot with no air con and old fashioned, the in built hair dryers blew out a whisp of air smelling strongly of cigarettes. The bar shut at 6pm in the evening (off peak). Breakfast was of a low standard. Lunch on the terrace was the stand out bit for this hotel. Beautiful view and the quality of the food for lunch was overall very good. But if you are looking to plan a business meeting here with their facilities. Dont.
Over the years I have stayed in most of the sea facing 4 star hotels in Nice, all of which are good, but none of which, in my opinion match the high standards of the B4 Plaza. My most recent visit last year cemented my opinion that this hotel is exemplary in all aspects, including its perfect location, impeccable standards of cleanliness, friendly helpful and professional staff, a superb breakfast served in a spacious colourful dining room. No 'early morning agro' induced by tables squeezed too closely together. The room was serviced each morning with attention being paid to the smallest detail. I would hate to shoot myself in the foot, but this hotel is very competitively, if not surprisingly competitively priced.. My only reservation ( no pun intended) in submitting my review of this hotel is that it may cause a clamour for booking and an increase in prices.
Requested early check in but had to wait a while. Room had a great view Excellent location No breakfast included Walking distance to most things including plenty of bus stops and attractions also major shopping area
When we walked into the room we actually thought the staff had made a mistake by giving us a normal room instead of the superior double that we had booked in advance. We paid more than 200 EUR for a place that's worth maybe half of that amount. Apart from the very dissimilar size and look of the room when compared to the pictures we had seen, the reservation said 'garden view', but all we were given was 'street noise'. So if you're ever booking a garden view room, don't think peace & quiet, think traffic & noise. WE ASKED TO CHANGE, THEY SAID IT'S THE RIGHT ROOM. Right. Welcome to France and happy new year. On a positive note (although hard to digest at this point), location is absolutely brilliant, the lobby area looks rather nice and the breakfast was fairly good.
This hotel was ok. Its bit outdated but yet compfortable. We had a deluxe room which was very spacious, clean and nice. Locations is perfect. Considering the low rate, its a good deal. Breakfast was okay too.
