A good centrally located basic no frills hotel. Room was clean and facilities adequate. The room had a kitchen area wiith fridge, hot plate and microwave, so great for preparing light meals, especially with Lidl close by. The air con was good, with good double glazing, meaning little noise from outside and good sound insulation from other rooms. The beds were comfortable and staff where quite friendly. The only real negative, is that you receive only one set of barely adequate cheap towels for your whole stay which are not changed unless you pay 5 euros.
Rooms were very small, very dirty. Hard to check in as nowhere to park out front. Once we sorted out parking underneath it was ok. I called when we were on our way and the staff member to me the car park was full even though I had booked a spot 10 months earlier, when we got there there were lots of spots I wasn’t impressed. Wifi was useless we had to get a booster. Doesn’t get cleaned or serviced at all. Close to city centre by tram or train to Monte Carlo
We stayed at the Adagio Aparthotel for five nights to visit Nice and also attend the Monaco Grand Prix. The advantage with this hotel is that you don't have to pay until you arrive on the day. The reception staff were very accomodating with any requests. We didn't use the restaurant for breakfast. The location of the hotel is one of its real advantages from arriving at the airport we took the 98 bus (bus stop 7 at the airport) which drops you within five minutes walk of the hotel. The hotel is located within walking distance of Nice old town, the port and the shops. Theres also tram stops within a few minutes walk if you wish to use them. There are also Vélo Blue bikes opposite the hotel entrance which can be rented by tourists. The main reason for our stay was that the hotel is a ten minute walk to Nice Riquier station which takes you into Monaco. The room was clean, free safe, fridge, balcony and most importantly the beds were comfy. The air conditioning was very good and I have to say you couldn't hear noisr from other residents. Overall we had no problems for five nights. My only criticism would be that you only recieve one set of towels per stay but maybe if you are over four nights they could offer a new set of towels. It may not bother some people and you can pay five Euros for some new ones. Overall this is good budget accomodation and we would consider returning next time we visit Nice.
Just don't. Trust me. And if you do, best of luck to you. Receptionist was lovely night and day. Room left alot to be desired, there is a balcony but good luck using it, the air con units take up over 50% of the balcony. Location was fantastic, it was right in the heart of nice.
I was looking for somewhere cheap and relatively central and decided this would do. It did. It's no frills but was clean and everything worked. I was glad to have a small kitchen area so that I could prepare a couple of meals myself (eating out in Nice isn't cheap, especially for Brits at the moment as the £ is so low against the Euro). It's right by the Museum of Modern Art and a short walk to the Promenade, Port and Old Town. It's also close to bus stops for most of the other places you'd want to go. To get here from the airport take the No 98 bus (Promenade des Arts) to the end of the line. It's 6 euros.
This hotel is in a great location, minutes from the train station, and the old town, a fifteen minute stroll to the flower market and the Mediterranean Sea. There was no housekeeping, not essential for us as we had a short stay. The pool was nice, a bit too shallow though, but nevertheless a nice touch for a budget hotel, if you stay here be sure to visit the delicious Thai restaurant a few buildings toward the train station. Now the negatives, The bed was extremely uncomfortable, making a sound every time we moved. The balcony was very dirty, but offered great views of the old town. And my least favourite part was when we checked out, we asked to use the shower, the receptionist said no, and told us to use the pool ones, they were FREEZING, that was unacceptable. Apart from that most of the staff were very nice. Which made us have a fairly pleasant stay. Stayed with 11 year old son -Ella
First of all let me explain, my only experience with "Adagio" is a couple of stays at Aix-en-Provence with is in our opinion very comfortable but really I should read the small print. I hadn't realised there are two levels in the "Adagio Family", I just looked at the price on the box and ticked "pay now"! It was only when we popped down to reception to pick up a hairdryer & reading the posters in the lift we realised we were in the "budget edition", ahh! So that's why there is no dishwasher. At reception we asked for a hairdryer and the receptionist (knowing we were English) asked us if we needed a kettle, life was looking up. The service we got was very good and friendly and we didn't need to "stumble with our limited French". The apartment would not suit anyone expecteding a sea view, it is in town/urban area but this brings the benefits of plenty of reasonable restaurants & food outlets in very close walking distance. Also the tram and buses are very close. Unlike some of the other hotels in Nice they have their own private parking but on this occasion we flew in, the air fare being lower than the road tolls we would have paid if we chose to drive. Was the apartment big enough for us? Yes, and I was able to cook a few meals. The there is plenty of fresh food in Nice, looking at in envy is okay but I rather buy and cook. Agreed there isn't room for a full blown cooker but its far better to be creative as that is all part of the adventure. To sum up, the location is great, the hotel staff are very friendly and the price (value) excellent.
A reasonably priced, well located hotel with rooms that aren't large but are perfectly adequate and well fitted with a balcony as a bonus. 24 hr reception with friendly and helpful English speaking staff, would definitely use this hotel again.
I've been in Adagio Nice Acropolis and it was a good experience. Good location, just on front of the Acropolis Convention Center. 5 minutes walking distance from all the restaurants and interesting places. The room was very clean with a good kitchenette. Good wifi connection. The staff and the GM were very professional and very kind. Thanks for the great experience!
attending congress at the Acropolis. opposite to the congress centre, very convenient. Aparthotel - has a pantry but it has no kettle! has coffee filter and coffee pot but no coffee! bathroom has no ventilation - so after a hot shower the steam lingers for a long time. no daily room cleaning. bed is reasonable. Work desk has no electricity outlet - it is below the square table meant to be for eating. breakfast is OK - standard continental breakfast.
