Hotel location is convenient to dining & transportation. Staff is friendly and helpful. They also provided a water fountain station on our floor to fill up drinking containers - much appreciated. I wished they had an ice machine on each floor as well because we had to go to the lobby each day to get ice cubes for our drinks provided in a bucket upon our inquiry. We also noticed a cappuccino making machine in the lobby but made accessible only for those who paid for breakfast in the morning otherwise the cabinet housing the cappuccino machine is closed shut. As a goodwill gesture the hotel should leave the cabinet open for all their patrons to get a complimentary cup of cappuccino throughout the day while relaxing in the lobby like other hotels did during our tour of France.

Great location for dining in the old town - shops close and a tram for getting to the station and around. We took the train to Monaco which was easy to do. Hotel very clean and lovely to walk out across the road to the promenade and the beach. You can just go on the public area- pebbly though!- or can pay for a lounger - quite expensive €20+- the sea shelves quite steeply and if the sea is strong a challenge getting out but we made it. A great place to stay. We went for a cocktail at the Negresco and have to say the service there was really slow and not worth the high cost for a drink.

Both Hotel and Rooms were clean , staff were very helpful regarding travel information and places to eat . The location is very good for both train station ; bus routes and tram and very close to the beach

This is an excellent hotel. Breakfast excellent. We'll everything was excellent.. The only thing is the a/c not was cool enough. Was cool, but not enough. Staff very very friendly. Rooms also excellent. I will go again to this hotel for sure.

We really enjoyed our stay here, not only were we in a great location close to many restaurants, shops, and beaches, but the hotel itself was very clean, cozy, and comfortable! Our room was booked as a “sea view,” but we were on the 2nd floor and could only view the ocean if we went out on the balcony and stretched to look. Unfortunately, the balcony had old used cigarette butts and was too small to sit or enjoy the view. We also visited in late August. Apparently there was a huge outdoor event happening during the same weekend of our visit. The music and public speeches were VERY loud and right outside our window. Thankfully the city requires quiet after 11:30PM, but it would have been nice to go to bed earlier than midnight. No one warned us that our stay would be disrupted by this loud event. I was disappointed with our stay and would not book with Albert 1er again as a result of this negative experience.
