I was staying in the room 5008 with a great sea view, that was perfect, same as I booked. My room expectations were justified. One of the advantages is underground free of charge parking, since I was driving bike I was not worried about safety. Breakfast and dinner were terrible, we were dining outside of the hotel. There are a plenty of the places where you can go and have a great food, especially street-food. The only one person I met during our stay in the hotel who speaks english, that's it. This is the reason we had miscommunication during our stay. NO HOT WATER in the shower at evening. So be informed )
Yep looked impressive but thats it, after starting our tour in the north and receiving outstanding service everywhere as we made our way down we arrived here and felt like intruders, service absolutely shocking, yes has a pool and bar but it was never staffed, couldnt wait to get out
When we turned up at this hotel for a 3 night stay we were impressed. The hotel looked good! This impression didn’t last long. None of the staff speak or understand any English or make any attempt to understand. We felt unwelcome. The smiles and eager service we had received elsewhere in Vietnam were lacking here. Breakfast is not good - Nothing is cooked to order and the cheese was mouldy, coffee was cold. Yoghurts ran out and were not replenished. The staff didn’t lay up or clear tables. Poor selection of fresh fruit. The towels and sun beds at the beach and pool were dirty and ripped and staff rudely evicted us from the beach when it ‘closed’ at 4.30pm. Our bathroom had broken leaky tiles. Nha Trang is a big noisy resort and this hotel is not in the best area of it. There is building work all around and this made the pool very noisy. The receptionist refused to return our passports for 20 minutes after checking out as they wanted to thoroughly inspect the room. This is the first disappointed Trip Advisor report I’ve ever written - but it’s genuine. Can’t recommend this hotel.
Check in quick and easy. Sea view room on the 11th floor. Staff were helpful and polite to us. On arrival you hand over your passport to the front desk. They seemed pleased we were front Australia. Our room was large and beds comfortable. Bathroom large, shower over bath tub a little high for a couple of older ladies. Pool area fine had a swim but no towels left by the afternoon so had to drip all the way but to the room. Breakfast was as the other reviews stated but as we bought vegemite and peanut butter with us it did not bother us. A little noisy with chinese next door banging doors but never kept us awake.
This hotel looks very nice and big outside but the room was not.The Staff was not friendly and take care their guest at all.breakfast was medium. The only good thing is location .just few minutes to get to the beach .
I just had a breakfast at this hotel but enough make me feel disappointed. The staffs aren’t friendly and look like they don’t want to serve the guests. The drinks came when i almost finished my meal, it’s not make sense. When I asked, the waiter told the drinks just came when I finished my meal even though i did not told them like that. If you can not smile and friendly, you can not work in this job. Please!!!
Close to the beach, a short ride by taxi to a great restaurant “Lanterns” (see my review), good sized room and bathroom, a large modern hotel. Since almost all guests are Russian and Chinese, it may be understandable that the staff (reception, restaurant, room service) speak very little English. Staff attitude was startlingly different to other hotels, generally unsmiling and unhelpful, with a notable exception of a young (previous tour guide) man who happened to be at reception when we enquired about restaurants. Breakfast is to mostly to the oriental taste with soups etc. Eggs are fried, put on cold plates and left. Fruit platters empty quickly and are not quickly replenished. The bath is odd, with a wide low wall at the side of the bath making entry to the bath difficult. There’s some building noise from 0600 to midnight every day from nearby major construction.
This hotel looks beautiful but the service could greatly be improved. Upon checking the manager demanded to see my booking confirmation number, when I produced it he didn’t really care to look or confirm. He then rudely told us that there were no rooms available and check in was not until noon. We said that we understood and just simply wanted to store our luggage. After storing the luggage he then decided there was a room available after all. He then had a small female worker take our big and heavy bags by herself to our room. She actually only took one bag because that’s all she can physically take and my friend were stuck carrying hers on her own. Our room was beautiful and had a very nice view of the city and some of the beach. The hotel offers a pool and a “private beach”. The pool wasn’t heated nor were there any real stuff around to give out towels or make drinks at the bar. In fact the staff that were there didn’t really care and anyone from the street could’ve walked up. The pool wasn’t heated despite it being a bit too cold that no one utilized it. The “private beach“ was simply a few chairs on the beach and a person with a cooler. There wasn’t a sign to let you know where the private chairs started. When asked for a map this is the actual conversation that occurred. “Do you have a map?” “Yes”. Staff were unhelpful with directions are talking about anything local in the area to do we ended up finding a very nice travel agent over at the Tri-Star hotel that helped book tours and give us local information. The breakfast buffet was held in a very large ballroom and seem to be for show only offering very limited choices. There where is a few Asian and a few western options including an egg station in which the person simply put fried eggs on a plate no omelettes or offered for any kind of customization of egg dishes. Staff were quick to clear your plates if you looked like you were done, even if you weren’t. None of these people understood or spoke English so even if you were to protest they probably wouldn’t understand. On the day of checkout I put the do not disturb sign on the door in order to use room until our check out time. The maids ignored the sign came into the room and didn’t understand when I tried to explain to them in simple English that I was not ready for the room to be cleaned and give me 20 minutes to finish packing up my things. Overall this hotel is quite beautiful but doesn’t offer the service that many hotels even at a lower price or quality would. The area doesn’t have much and way of beach or tourist destinations so if you’re looking for advice on the area I would go to another beach destination.
This is the 5th hotel I have stayed in my two trips to Vietnam and the absolute worst as far as customer service goes. The staff are stony faced and unfriendly. Nobody greets you even when we arrived. The room we had 4001 was large and spacious and the king sized bed relatively comfortable as Asian beds go which are normally hard. The shower was horrendous with the shower over the bath which had a huge hob which you have to straddle to get over. The water was only ever lukewarm and the water ran around the hob directly onto the floor. The bath mat was always soaked and you got wet feet every time you used the toilet The included breakfast was just average. At the egg station the eggs were precooked and as a result cold. You could have any type of eggs as long as it was fried. The staff rarely replenished empty dishes offered. Everyday I had to ask for the milk jugs to be refilled while the staff stood around gloomily staring into space. I also must say this seems to be the norm around Nha Trang. Very few friendly staff at restaurants etc.. Overall we did not enjoy our stay in Nha Trang. Too gaudy and loud and the beach plain dangerous and not a place for swimming. If you are Australian I think this is not the holiday place for you....too many Russian and Chinese tourists who are predominately loud and pushy.
We stayed there one night and had a good dinner party in their ballroom. The hotel is in good location where around a surrounded with pubs and bars, good nightlife. Good staff and service. Was so busy with the party preparation and hosting so didn't have time to check around.
