Love the pool! Love the Villas! Amazing service!

I didn’t like that the room looked like the it never been cleaned. The glass was filthy the glasses had prior drinks in the and mouth lipstick on them and the ground was completely filthy. I emailed the hotel yet they never responded back to me. Completely unprofessional to me

Our experience at Pelican Hill was fabulous right from the start. Upon check in we were upgraded to a suite..with a view of the ocean. The accommodations were beautiful. Side note:The bedding was amazing! Loved the breakfast by the pool as well. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. This property rates high for luxury, amazing staff and incredible location...can't wait to come back!

It was great stay except for the weather. Food was great at the Golf club but room service food was not recommendable. It also include little too high tip of 22% + delivery fee.

I have been around the world. I've stayed at the best of the best. I must say, Pelican Hill is at the top of the hill. What impresses me most is that it's 5 star without the snobbish stench. Everyone is treated with dignity and respect. I watched and observed. Check-in was seamless, even though I arrived early. My experience was that "NO" was not in the resort's vocabulary. The staff always seemed to be on the lookout for ways to top themselves in serving the guests, while making them as comfortable as possible. Andreas was wonderful. The service was impeccable. Great service can make "not so great" food palatable. However, the food measured up. Presentation and taste/texture...perfect. Now, the Coliseum was another experience. The hostess team was polite, not friendly, with an air of indifference...save one. Jessica saved the food service team. She was friendly and contentious. Speaking of food service, it is mysteriously slow- whether the crowd is massive or minimal. The items are not that exclusive where prep time would be that extensive. I had to ask 3 servers for coffee and water after MY server asked if I wanted any. One of the 3 ended bringing me both as well as my food. I suggest that management make some adjustments, as I notice that other guests have made the same observation. This does NOT apply to poolside side service. Perfect ! Will try Pelican grill next time. The spa experience makes the vacation. I will return.

Our bath would not drain after taking a bath ,had to call service. Room charges on my bill were strange, I was charged twice each day for room tax and cta fee.? I was also charged $ 20.00 room charge at the Coliseum restaurant were I had dinner with friends and paid with a credit card . I also thought that $ 52.87 was over the top for breakfast for two at the Coliseum

I have been to the Pelican Hill Resort 5 times and each time I return I can only say wow. The bungalows overlooking the ocean are spectacular. The grounds are maintained to Disney standards. Breakfast at the Pavilion overlooking the infinity pool, golf course and ocean can't be matched anywhere in the U.S.

Everything about our stay was fantastic with the notable exception of breakfast at The Coliseum Grill. The hotel staff was absolutely fantastic and on-point in terms of exceptional service. Our room was wonderful and perfectly appointed. The in-room self-serve coffee system was great..best coffee my wife and I have ever experienced from an in-room coffee maker. The hotel sits on an amazing piece of property with majestic views of the Pacific, Pelican Hill Golf Course and the Newport Beach landscape. I had to take 2 points off for an unfortunate experience at The Coliseum Grill 2 days in a row. My wife and I both received the wrong orders during our 1st breakfast, then when the right orders were exchanged, the eggs, toast and potatoes were room temp, the bacon was way under-cooked and my silver-ware was taken and not replaced so I had to take a set from an empty table. The 2nd day, bad orange juice was provided twice. It was clearly a bad batch that had a spoiled taste and we heard other guests indicating that their OJ smelled and tasted funny as well. These are often expected issues at sub-bar, less expensive resorts, but certainly not in-line with the excellent standards of service one would expect at Pelican Hill.

We visited for our 21st anniversary. Booked an ocean view bungalow. We were very impressed with the high quality furnishings & attention to detail. Loved that we could park in front of our room. We were a little bummed that our ocean view was a bit obstructed by other roof tops and trees, but appreciated the furnished private patios. Will definitely consider visiting again.

lovely property, bad sleeping AC sounds like a muffled jet engine, ground crew started at 715 right below our room went on for over an hour and a half..could not use our patio..very little coffee left in room had to call down and an hour later housekeeping finally showed up with it..fireplace in bedroom did not work
