Lovely large room... very clean.... warm and cosy. Bed was comfy and bathroom newly renovated with a huge walk in shower. Stayed at Michelangelos before and definitely will again.

Staff very friendly on arrival, room lovely and clean. I had a pizza from the restaurant and they brought it to my room- tasted amazing !! Nice beds, lovely breakfast. Would recommend and will stay again. Only slight niggle only 1 bottle of water in the room for 3 people and 1 pack of biscuits. I appreciate putting 3 bottles in might be a waste but 2 between the 3 of us would have been better and 2 packs of biscuits would have meant we could all have 1 biscuit. Again this is minimal and didn’t alter my thoughts on our stay x

Room was clean and comfortable, but main bed was only a double not a queen (a bit squishy). Staff were fabulous - courteous, friendly, accommodating. Restaurant was amazing - great atmosphere, even better host and the best wait staff.

We had a great experience from check in to checking out. Rooms were spotless, comfy bed, food in the restraunts was delicious both breakfast and evening meal. Staff were polite, attentive and friendly. Will certainly return.

Clean if basic room. Only 1 pack of biscuits with the tea/coffee, no hairdryer in the room and very thin towels. Room was otherwise comfortable. Dining was excellent with fabulous food and extremely good staff who were attentive without being intrusive. Great location for the Metro Centre.

Great retreat - keep it a secret!

Gorgeous place, full of character and warm of welcome. Great atmosphere and staff obviously love what they do and are always watchful and ensure that you have a special time. Rooms are generous size and fitted and furnished to high quality. Very clean and tidy. Did-friendly was a great bonus for us. Then… the food is off the scale amazingly good. Definitely will return.

We have just had a wonderful stay here as my other half was doing the Great North Run. The staff were so helpful polite and attentive. The room was excellent spacious .really comfy beds full bathroom and had everything we needed as well as very quiet. So now comes the restaurant........ wow just wow the food was top notch all freshly cooked and some of the best Italian we have ever had. Portion sizes are not for the faint hearted ie great for a pre run carb load tea for my partner but so delicious 😋. The whole experience was great and should Chris get in the GNR again we will return and with our little girl. Thank you so much Em and Chris From Sheffield

Michelangelos offers more than anticipated.

We were pleasantly surprised. A last minute overnight stay with our dog. Excellent food and the staff were all welcoming , helpful and kind. No additional charges for our dog. Our room was large, comfortable and provided everything we needed. Garden at the back enabled easy walking for the dog. Location is great with walks locally and plenty to explore. We will be back for a longer stay. Great value for money.

Good for a short stay.

A nice, basic, very clean room. The electric power to the bathroom blew with a bang and couldn't be fixed until morning so, with no other available room, showers and washing was by torch for most of the visit! These things happen but need attention. Food was okay if not great but service was consistently friendly and restaurant had good atmosphere.

Great welcome and service from friendly staff. Nice restaurant/bar area with great food and drink options. 1 night stay after return flight, lovely dinner and excellent breakfast. Nice room but mattress on the soft side for our liking but difficult to please everyone in that respect. Overall excellent stay and would definitely stay again if in the area.
