We stay for three nights. There was no daily housekeeping (as mentioned in the description). I called to ask and they said it’s not done daily but I think only on Thursdays. Also, somewhere it’s written that there’s a lounge with free coffee, there’s a lounge with stools, tables and ice. There’s a mini coffee machine in the room. I asked about it and they told me there’s no free coffee on the lounge. The room it’s okay, really small and, no mini fridge. The wifi and TV worked well, no complaints. The A/C was so old and noisy!!! The worst of all the stay. The carpets are also very used and looked kind of dirty and old. The fire alarm woke us up at 7am on Sunday, there was no staff around whatsoever to explain or assist, it seemed to be a false alarm. The check in and check out is done all via email, so it’s quick and simple. The area is quiet and there are plenty of stores, gas stations and restaurants within a short driving distance. If I have to stay again I will pick a bigger room. For the price, I think they could invest on some urgent very needed renovations.

Was visiting friends nearby and Hi-Ho was the closest place to stay. Very cute and updated retro motel. Great attached wine bar and Spanish restaurant. No contact hotel so you can't get extra towels or anything like that but I'd definitely stay again!

Broken check-in process

The check-in system is broken. Took several steps (calls and hold time with an overseas person) just to get the keypad combo for the room. No prior communication from the hotel, which was odd, as the pre-check-in process could have easily been done a day ahead of time. Actual room was perfectly fine and the Barcelona Wine Bar was quite good, but the check-in experience will mean that we do not return here as guests.

We knew the hotel was a "self-check-in" type, which is fine, but I never received my day-of email with my room number and access code - so I had to call to get that. The room was nice and the property was clean and neat - just like the pictures. But the bed and pillows were terrible! We had (3) pillows for our king-sized bed and they were lumpy and uncomfortable - the mattress was also not the greatest. At the very least, invest in better pillows and give a bed at least 4 of them!

This place needs to get its act together

I never stayed at this hotel. I got an email saying I would get a code for check in. I never got the email. I finally called them and they said they didn’t have my email, despite the fact that I had already gotten an email from them! Said they would send me another email. I finally got it but I could not get it to work. So I did not stay there but there is a charge pending in my account for the full amount!

Our sheets were not clean, we had an ant problem, the fire alarm went off simply because we opened the bathroom door after a shower and the paint on the bathroom ceiling was peeling off. We have stayed here before and loved it. They clearly have not kept up at all. They have no one to check you in so when people come and have a problem getting in. They’re out on the sidewalk extremely loud as well as restaurant patrons so they keep you up at night.
