If you are travelling through Truro Nova Scotia this Hotel is definitely a good option for accommodations. this hotel is clean and recently fully renovated The place was quiet and the staff were excellent very pleasant and helpful. The hot breakfast that was included with the room was very good with more selection than most hotels at this price I would definitely recommend this Hotel. Also it is just minutes off the main highway
I travel a lot and stay in high end hotels all the time, so when we had to book our room at the Comfort Inn I didn't have really high expectations. The services throughout the hotel was good, from the reception, housekeeping, and even the breakfast lady was just lovely! The rooms were renovated, clean, spacious and comfortable. We had a great sleep. Although I will say when we got to our room everything was unplugged and our room was freezing! We plugged everything and turned up the heat, which took a while to warm up. The breakfast offerings the next morning were good, and it was an overall great stay.
I stayed here earlier this week we had a suite. The room overall was nice but there was old corona caps on the floor from a previous stay. We told the front desk agent working that night and she ensured us our room was clean but didn't do anything else for us.
Very satisfied with my stay in Truro, staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice and clean and lots of parking. Very affordable and close to everything in town. Look forward to staying there again. Front desk staff is very helpful to help you locate certain places to eat and what to do in the area.
Overpriced for what you get. The room is fine, as well as the washroom but certainly the price can be reduced. The breakfast was far from a "hot meal" and seemed to be rationed out. The eating area is way too small for those days when the hotel has many guests. Not someplace I would return to.
This is a perfect stop along the highway apot to spend a night on your way to somewhere else. The rooms were clean and the breakfast (basic fare) was included which helps to get you on your way as a morning traveller.
The room size was ok but the vanity was almost nonexistent. Travelers have equipment! Why is that so hard for innkeepers to understand? We balanced our cosmetic bag, shave kit, flat iron, etc. on the back of the toilet and on the shower chair. In addition, there was black mold around the edge of the sink where it fits to the tiny "vanity". Yuck! The door to the bathroom had a terrible squeak and so quiet trips to the john in the middle of the night were impossible. For some reason this innkeeper had installed a programmed thermostat in this room. So if your need for air or heat differs from the program, you may need help. NOT user-friendly. Then, the blower was excessively LOUD! And the breakfast area... So sad. It was extremely small and so the innkeeper has placed an additional table in the canteen area as well as in the vestibule between the two exterior doors! Trying to serve yourself was a huge challenge with people tripping over one another. If you are lucky enough to overhear the attendant announce that eggs and sausage are available from an adjacent room, you may enjoy those. There is a desperate need to enlarge this area! This facility does not have an on-site laundry or exercise room. First floor rooms are accessed by sliding glass doors to the parking lot plus they have an interior door to the hallway. Very disappointing stay after spending 4 nights at lovely Holiday Inn Express facilities. As Choice Priv. members for years, we may have to switch to Holiday Inn Express customers.
My daughter and I came in without a reservation and were lucky enough to get a room. It was clean and comfortable as all Comfort Inns are and we had an enjoyable overnight stay here. The high light at this hotel is the wonderful lady in the breakfast room who is so warm and welcoming. What a joy to see such a positive person first thing in the morning! I wish that I could remember her name to thank her personally but you must know who I mean. I would stay here again just to say Hi!
This motel has obviously been renovated recently. It was spotless clean and the front desk staff were excellent. The only issue was the poor lady who had to do all the breakfasts for all the guests on Saturday morning. The motel was completely booked and she worked tirelessly to ensure every guest at the breakfast counter was served. The motel management should have given her an assistant to ease her workload. Nevertheless sha did an amazing job and deserves a huge pat on the back.
Arrived in the afternoon and check-in was quick and front desk person was friendly. Made a suggestion for dinner, which we appreciated! Our room was on the second floor (there is no elevator) and was clean and appeared to have been recently updated. Shower pressure was adequate. Carpet was new along with the furnishings. We had a good night's sleep. A continental breakfast is included. There were quite a few first floor rooms occupied by smokers. They were all sitting outside their rooms on the chairs provided puffing away. When we entered the building, the hallways had a very strong perfume odor - maybe to alleviate the cigarette smoke that seeps in when the outside door is opened. There was a sign posted that smokers were not allowed to smoke within so many feet of the outside door. I'm sure there was another outside entrance we could have used, but as the day progressed, the number of smokers dwindled. We selected this motel because of it's location (close to the highway) and five minutes from the Tidal Bore overlook. We were not disappointed! Watched it in the evening and again in the morning.
