We were just here for one night. We got in late and went straight to our room. We got a suite with two queen beds. The room was nice and cool with extra towels and pillows as per our requests and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast had a nice assortment of sausage, eggs, muffins, fruit, yogurt and toast. The staff was excellent.
I travel many months out of the year and stay in hotels most of the time. I know sometimes it's the little things that make a stay comfortable and I ended up staying here for a week!! ront desk staff is so helpful and kind, callie and Nicole went out of their way to be accommodating. twice a week they have a happy hour with food and drink in the dining room for guests. one of the managers, Karen, also made sure my stay was everything I wanted it to be. from directions to places, welcoming me back after I've been out of the hotel, interested in my stay and travel, it's the people that help me be comfortable staying in a hotel. even the maintenance mgr, eddy, went over and beyond when I had a slow drain. I am always nervous about the beds because I have bad hips and my bed was soft enough along with soft pillows. of course I would stay here again if in town. there's no better.
We stayed on the top floor closest to the freeway. Noisy, but hey, what do you expect? It is next to the freeway! Beds were very good, the pillows were divine. Everything was nice and clean. Very good breakfast in the morning. Only real problem we had was cold showers in the morning. They knocked off some of the cost for that. All in all it was pretty good stay.
Staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean and modern. Love the showers! The hotel is close to everything you'll want to do. The area offers Uber, which we highly recommend if your going out to Gruene.
Ok so I'm not a member of the Marriott rewards or anything of the sort. Even though not a member the girls at the front desk wouldn't make you feel any other way. Great help and a wonderful cheerful smile is what I would get during my entire stay. Specially with the late shift when getting back from a hard day of work. A great smile and conversation from Nicole and Karen my two favorite blondes lol. Sure made me feel at home, beds soft and firm made for a great nights sleep. I would definitely continue my stay when in town at this hotel. Well worth the money for the warmth feel.
Having an Excellent stay, and then there was a fire in the building. During the fire the staff (Karen and Cali) were fantastic. They tried to keep everyone happy and taken care of. The fire happened during the manager's reception and because of that, they moved it outside with the people. During the stay prior to that Nicole took care of the issue I was having with the only TV station I watch and kept on top of the problem. Fantastic team.

This well-located, New Braunsfels, Texas hotel is right off of I-35 about 25 miles north of San Antonio. It had great ease of access to the highway as well as to the tourist attractions in the area. Those include summertime rafting trips down the local rivers as well shopping in the Outlet Mall located just to the north in San Marcos. The staff is both friendly and interested. The 1st night I was there, the staff held a "pop-up" happy hour with beer, wine, soft drinks and excellent appetizers. While I was at the happy hour, several staff members came up to me, asked if I was having a good time and how the room was. Their plan is to do that at least once weekly in the future. The hotel itself is beautiful; the rooms are fresh; plenty of parking and lots of good local restaurants located a very short drive away. I almost never write reviews so it's a testament to this facility and those who operate it that I am taking the time to do it.
I wS very pleased with my stay at the Fairfield Inn. The staff was extremely service oriented. The fitness center was good. The room was comfortable and clean. The complimentary breakfast was fresh and tasty. I'm an oatmeal guy and they had it. I highly recommend.
As a busy day comes to an end, you remember that you are actually heading out of town, again... Recalling that you have no reservation, a call was placed and that is where the story begins..... Kallie answered the call, listened deliberately to my inquiry, my query and my issue and took it upon herself to take action on each of the items I asked and/or requested. When we ended our conversation, Kallie informed me that she had put notes in to keep the rest of the team in the loop and also let me know that she would be working on Saturday AM. I arrived on Friday around 10:30. Karen and Nichole were there to assist me and did so with such diligence, the kind that is expected from a Marriott brand, but is not always exuded. After interacting and handling the check in process, customer service overflowed again in regards to this trip. Karen engaged in a conversation with me and Nichole also joined it. It was a much needed distraction and I appreciate these ladies. This morning, early, before 5, I encountered Bradley. Let me just say this; this young man is a hard working, dedicated employee. I was in and out all day and had the pleasure of meeting Kallie. She helped me with some documents I needed and also followed up on the topics that I had previously requested assistance with. Finally the dat was over and dinner ensued. As I arrived back, Nichole was back and Jessica was working with her as well. These ladies truly engaged and shared dialogue for a small duration, yet long enough to show care. While we were speaking Miss Amy walked up to make sure that all of my needs and expectations were met. In all of the Fairfield's I have stayed, this is the first time I had a polite woman, Miss Amy, make herself available for the needs of the guests. That is definitively customer service! To summarize, Kallie, Karen, Nichole, Bradley, Jessica and Amy went so much more than above and beyond. I feel that I actually do matter and this fine group of people seem to understand that. Thank you each of you for your diligence in making my trip a success.
