I arrived after driving all day to see my fiance that I had not seen in a week. Kallie and Desiree went above and beyond to make this stay special. I felt like part of the family and this was a stay I will always remember. Wonderful staff!!
Hubby and I came for a quick getaway. The hotel is really close to a lot of tourist attractions. The hotel staff was very friendly and the hotel was pleasantly clean. I would definitely recommend for an extended stay or quick getaway.
The Texas Lineman Rodeo was the reason for our business travel. We had 18 Team members. Each member had his own room. Armon, Kallie, Desiree, and Bethanne went out of there way to take care of our Team. The hospitality was amazing. Such a great group of employee. Again, I want to Thank You All!!!
Carla and Beth Anne are the best..I called and asked them to do something special for my fiance' in our room Cynthia the manager went out and bought rose petals and chocolates. Carla and Beth Anne decorated our bed for her in the best was way.. it was so sweet of them to do what they did. I have never stayed here before but I garuntee I will be back
Stay at the Fairfield in New Braunfels was very good, I do stay at Marriotts and my stay at this hotel did not make me rethink that at all. I will continue to stay at Marriotts. Check in was fast and fast and efficient, thanks to Cally! And checkout was the same way thanks to Carla! Breakfast is always ready for you to get your day going. The breakfast "hosts" deserve a big round of applause especially during the summer time with a lot of tourists ready to eat and go. They keep it well stocked.
The beds and pillows were not comfortable at all. Thankfully we were only staying one night. The pool is very small. The only thing memorable about the hotel was the front desk clerk, Desiree. She was so nice and courteous.
Nice newer Fairfield Inn property conveniently located along I35 for all activities in New Braunsfels and the surrounding area. Staff friendly and very accommodating. Location is next to I35 so it can be a bit noisy if you're facing the highway.
I travel a lot and tend to stay at Marriott hotels when I am able. This hotel makes me rethink that. It started with a 7:30 am call on the day of check in from a rude desk clerk telling me my room wouldn't be held unless I gave them my "correct" credit card information. I told her I would call them back. She was just as rude 2 hours later when I called back. At the 4 o'clock check in time, I was told my room wasn't ready and needed 15 minutes or so. I get to the room and the beds are made but everything else was dirty. I get back later that evening to find a blood spot on the blanket when I pulled the sheets down. I went to the desk and the clerk stared at me blankly while I explained the situation. He continued to stare at me until I told him I needed a new blanket. The new blanket he gave me had yellow stains all over it so I just cut my loses at that point and slept with just the sheets. The hotel as a whole is dirty. Carpets throughout are stained, floors have visible dirt all over, and there are dead cockroaches in the hallways.
Our family meets somewhere each June and we had been thinking about going to New Brunfels for several years but it can be hard to find a moderately expensive spot that will accomodate several families. My cousin found the Fairfield Inn who were graciously willing to meet us on cost. However, we found that our choice of rooms were mostly limited to king rooms...and some of our family discovered upon registering that the queen rooms required were changed. The clerk was in training and there did not seem to be anyone to help him. He was delightful and wanted to be helpful but alas! no rooms to meet our needs. A few grandchildren ended up sleeping on the floor so that , at least, was an adventure. My husband and I after the first night, left and walked across the parking lot to the Holiday Inn Express that did have the beds needed. So I rant and rave: it was fun being with family again, but we won't go back to this hotel.
I understand that the summer season draws attention to the Guadalupe River and Schlitterbahn. However, after a long flight, I was looking for a peaceful and accommodating hotel... this was not it. I suspect that much of the hotel's revenue is generated by those on vacation for the water activities. If this is your purpose, this hotel might be right for you. Personally, I cannot differentiate this hotel from the neighboring Holiday Inn, which it shares a parking lot.
