Very nice , clean and quiet hotel , really nice staff , stayed over here for 3 nights room was checked and cleaned every day , close to Metro Universita station close to harbor with ferry to islands around walking distance to the most atractions in the city I'll recommend this place for everyone Thank you and hope see you again
As we arrived in the Schilizzi Hotel there was a very friendly male host, he gave us the key and everything was fine. The first night we stayed there we booked via booking.com for 45 euros a night. Everything was a bit old but nicely organized and clean. As we wanted to stay longer in this hotel (because we wanted to stay longer in Napoli), we tried to book the room personally for 2 more days. This was no problem, the price was 80 euros a night. They said okay because you like it here we give you a discount of 5 euros a night, after the discount we suddenly had to pay "city-tax" of 5EUROS per night, even for the night we booked via booking.com. Counting with me, this is; 45+5 75+5 75+5 Which is 210, it's 5 euros more than without the discount and the nonsense city tax. This transaction was made by an elderly (also friendly) woman. The next day, we walked out of our room to have breakfast (which was included in the price) and we got stopped by the hostess who was sitting at the desk (we've never seen her before) and she said you can't have breakfast because you did not pay for it, she didn't even have our room number.... She said to have breakfast we both had to pay an extra 5euros, calling this complete bs and asking for evidence she withdrawed her demand and allowed us to have breakfast. All with all, a very nice and old hotel, airconditioning, clean rooms, clean towels, sometimes not enough hot water and a very friendly male host. But the rest of the hotel staff just wanted to get your money in an unfair way. So 3 stars for the accomodation but the rest felt like a scam.
Italian style hotel, great location, at a throw away distance from Castel Nuovo. The hotel was a little difficult to find late at night when the streets were empty and no one to help. Great place to be at a descent price. Located in central Naples so everything was at a walkable distance. The staff was very friendly and helpful and answered all the queries. The stay was comfortable with great breakfast. The sight seeing buses start from the Catel Nuvou, which is a must go if you want to visit the old city with breathtaking views.
Tall roofs, comfortable bed, A/C, long curtains, Italian tiles.. On a 35 degrees hot day - a room which was worth booking.. Very near to universati metro station and 1 stop napoli centrale, 20 minutes to Naples airport.
I selected this hotel because i mistakenly though parking was included. Having never driven round Naples before it was a bit of an eyeopener. Very narrow streets full of cars and uncouteous drivers. Parking when you can get it just around the corner will be €20 night. The hotel was comfy enough and close to everthing though. Breakfast was extra if you need it but some good little cafe.s close by. People have said it to be noisy but we were in room 1 and not a problem. Metro just round corner .
Lovely old hotel, with a lot of it's original features still present,The bed was very comfortable and the room was ideal for our needs.Good air conditioning and toiletries provided. The staff were friendly and very helpful answering all our queries. The hotel is in central Naples and every attraction is within walking distance.
I went to this hotel for 2 years in a row, in Sep-2016 and May-2017, for a couple of days each time. The hotel is located in a strategic position, close to the harbour Molo Beverello, and close to Piazza Borsa, which allows you to quickly reach at walking distance the historical centre of the old town. This year, given that the flight had delayed, I arrived at the hotel at 1.00 am. The concierge is operative also during the night, therefore I did not have any problem in checking-in, even so late. The employees of the hotel gave me precious advices about how to visit the city and its artistic treasures. The rooms were spacious and cleaned both years. The wi-fi is not always very well working and the showers can be improved. Very good price.
My friend and me genuinely enjoyed staying in here for one night. The best things about this place are the people who work there, extremely kind and always there to help you, but also its location in a cute little street very close to the Maschio Angioino Castle. It's easy to get there both walking and by metro. Thanks to its central position, we actually took the metro twice in three days and we walked nearly everywhere. Breakfast was so nice, quiet and pleasing. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for nice place to sleep that needs to be simple and essential.
Very good price and quality relación. The room a nice and clean. Very centric hotel. Antonio the receptionist was the best. Very helpfully and nice person. Only the breakfast was a little poor. Nothing salty. Only sweet cakes etc. But was not a problem.
Pros - the room was very big, and clean; decent breakfast, and the staff was also very friendly attentive. Relatively near to Universiti Metro, Cons - The breakfast area is very small, only had 3 tables in it, so got to wait for others to finish if is fully occupied. Also the room had a lot of mosquitoes!! The bathroom was very large but the shower was in the bath with no shower curtain, so you have to crouch in an attempt to stop the water going everywhere!!
