I booked a one night stay before heading to the Amalfi. Paolo was very helpful and helped us locate a taxi in the morning to Ravello. The breakfast was delicious and had lots of variety which I loved. My favorite part of the trip was the rooftop. We did not get to try the pool but would love to next trip! Our room was big and our bed was so comfy we didn't want to wake up! Highly recommend this hotel. It's a close 15-20 minute ride from NAP airport and the restos. It's super modern and comfy and I loved the staff members.
I love staying here listening to U2being played while having breakfast on the spectacular rooftop. Our room is good, views are limited because of the location . However, the breakfast room more than makes up for it. The staff in reception are friendly, informative and helpful, with a special mention of Max who was more than accommodating to our needs. The barman is welcoming. There is a supermarket straight down the street and great shopping area in Via Toledo less than 5minutes away. (No, saw no crime whatsoever, despite all the negative views. Mind you, I'm very mindful not to carry too much cash etc.). I rented a car and got parking easily enough around the vicinity and drove off to Positano and Porto del Mare for a sundowner in Sorrento. Lovely to return to the serene cool Renaissance.
Teeny tiny room with an awful view, but the two jacuzzi solarium offering a view of Naples was spectacular. That alone makes the hotel worth it, but it also has a very good breakfast, the best we've had so far in Italy. The usual Italian fare (meats and cheeses and fruit) but also stuff for kids, like a waffle maker and cereal. Despite what the website says, wifi is NOT free in this hotel, but was an extra 9 euro a day. Or, like we did, you can use it for free in the lobby area.
Had been to many renaissance and Marriott hotels before but the hotel equipment was a bit old. The staff were very friendly and gave very useful travel advice :) Very nice location too near Via Toledo and the Toledo metro station.
We had some hiccups with our hotel reservation and ended up here but wished we had stayed two nights here. It's a nice escape from the city streets. I really like how they have re done their rooms: great plug ins, storage, and bathrooms. The bed was fabulously comfortable as well. The reception staff were super helpful and nice (though the guy there at 5am wasn't nearly as nice as the day staff).
Stayed in the hotel a few days ago and had unfavorable impression. Was expecting international standard for renaissance chain but certainly didn't receive it. We would consider it a 3-3.5 star hotel. Nice lobby and breakfast room has a great view. Location is good for the ferry going to the rest almalfi coast (10min walk). However, breakfast was underwhelming. The “clean dishes” were dirty and no toiletries when we first got to the room. Room looked into a stairway of a dark courtyard. Maybe our most disappointing chain experience with Marriott hotels in the world.
Great hotel near the Spanish Quarter. Breakfast is in the rooftop with a beautiful view of the bay. WiFi is not free. Rooms are spacious, comfortable bed and clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful. There is a taxi stand just out front. This is my second stay, this is a great deal. Walking to restaurants.
We stayed in a family room here and we were really happy with it. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was wonderfully helpful and the location was just perfect! We will definitely stay here again.
Overnight stay at The Renaissance. Pros - Good location close to the port - Friendly staff on front desk - Comfortable room - Bathtub in the bathroom - Pretty decent breakfast offering - The hotel advertises a small gym, which is still there, but there's a full size fitness club now open on the first floor which guests can use. It's great. Cons - My room wasn't ready when I checked in (I was a bit early). When I returned at 3pm, I was given a room that hadn't been made up. It was quickly sorted out but it still meant quite a bit of hanging around. - Dining room staff at breakfast seemed a bit disorganised. I kept having to ask for things. And if I could've made my own coffee, I wouldn't have had to wait 20 mins and ask 3 members of staff. - I was looking forward to grabbing a relaxing drink and admiring the views from the rooftop terrace but it appears they only open for breakfast. Also, it looked like they were preparing for a function when I was there. - €9 for wifi. In this day and age? Come on!
This is a great hotel to choose in Naples. The hotel itself is very modern and comfortable. Rooms are large with comfy beds and spotless bathrooms. The hotel has a plunge pool and jacuzzi on the roof which doesn't offer the most amazing views (Naples isn't really that pretty) but still a lovely place to sit and sunbathe. Breakfast was great which lots of options and the chance to sit on the terrace in the sunshine. Staff are all very friendly and helpful should you need anything. Location is right in the centre of Naples and plenty of taxis outside the hotel should you need it. Would stay here again.
