Just returned from a one week holiday in Naples We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights. On arrival we were greeted by Sadam on reception, he could not have made us feel more than welcome. We were given the keys to our room (210) it was quite small but very clean with everything we needed as we had booked this hotel in order to visit the historical centre, Pompeii, ercolano, Vesuvius, Sorrento etc etc. The hotel, for the amount of money we paid, exceeded our expectations. The shower was lovely! The air conditioning was in full working order! The maid came in every day with fresh towels, made our bed and cleaned our room! The breakfast was continental every morning and had lots of choice with great coffee! All the staff were charming and went to great trouble to help and accommodate us! It was my partners birthday during our stay, the hotel arranged a birthday cake. On check out the reception were only too pleased to print our boarding passes for us. We loved our stay at your hotel guys! Keep up the good work and thank you for your contribution in making our stay in the wonderful Napoli a holiday to remember! Kind regards from lee & julie x
My partner and I stayed here as a quick overnight stay after returning from the Amalfi Coast and flying to Santorini the next day. All we wanted was some air conditioned comfort and a restaurant for dinner. The restaurant was lovely with a friendly waiter and delicious food. Our room however was a total let down with a broken air conditioner. We both sweated through the night, with no sleep. When we mentioned it the following morning at the desk, we were told that we should have contacted the desk to have it fixed. We did not arrive to our room however until 11pm and the room should have been in working condition. I would not stay here again and dont recommend that you do.
We stayed here for 2 nights as our first stop travelling Italy. The area is much like the rest of Naples outside (see below paragraphs detailing Naples itself) but inside felt completely different. The staff were fantastic. Very warm and welcoming. The room had a very comfy bed and was typically Italian! (The windows leaked slightly in the storm at night but it only left a small puddle on the window sill, no bother! It's an old Italian building!) The continental breakfast was very nice and the coffee was great! Everything was very clean and tidy in general and it had a quirky oriental theme to reception which was cool! Only a 15-20 minute walk to central station (Garibaldi). Don't bother getting the metro as it takes 15 mins to get to the nearest stop and then it's still a 10 minute walk. Not a comment about the hotel itself, but my wife did not feel safe in the surrounding areas walking to the station due to the huge swarms of illegal market traders along the way (literally hundreds eyeing up every woman that walked past). So I wouldn't recommend walking around if you are vulnerable or easily intimidated, get a cab! Naples is the worst city I have ever visited. Disgustingly dirty and graffiti literally on every wall of every street. We chatted with another couple who said the old town is much nicer. They lied. It isn't. It's just more people with more dirt and graffiti. We used it as a hub to travel via train to Pompeii & Sorento (35 & 65 minutes on the Metro respectively) But as I say, hotel was faultless! We are a normal married couple in our late twenties FYI.
we have just returned from 2 nights in the hotel after a holiday in Sorrento we decided to have 2 nights in naples as we had a very early fight home & it was easier to get to the airport from there The hotel is app 10/15 mins walk to the museum & handy for other sights as well I was a 15euro taxi from the train station & then 17 euro to the airport which the hotel happily organised for us The staff were very helpful. We had a problem with the TV but this was sorted for us The room was a good size the bed was comfy. The bathroom was roomy & had a good powerful shower with plenty of hot water We had a small balcony, It is on the main road & it is noisy but its city centre so this was to be expected The breakfast was average but was what we expected for the price We found it to be a good value hotel which was what we wanted .
Absolutely fantastic hotel not far from all the sights. Rooms were a perfect size . Staff were always friendly and helpful. If you are staying here ask for a room with a view of the botanical gardens. The roof terrace is a fantastic place to chill in the evening Would highly recommend
Rooms that have aircondioning problems that after 2 days are not dealt with The same with room safes. Dirty bathrooms. Bad amenities, went to supermarket to buy soap. Breakfast ok but nothing to write home about. Dirty cups and dry bread and dry rolls. Reception staff can try a little harder to give a little better service, thoufh there was en evening female receptionist that was far better than the rest. If you have a choice- go some were else!
I had an amazing deal for this hotel and was really pleased as it was really nice. The hotel was in a nice area, close to the historic centre and good for transport. It is on a very busy road but with the windows closed this isn't a problem. The breakfast was great but the best thing was the caring men on reception. I think they were called Adrianno and Franco. I was mugged on the first night by a singled rider on a moped. I had my bag ripped from across my body and I had passports, cards, phone, money everything in it. I went to the hotel for help and they really couldn't have been more helpful. they called the police and allowed me to used the office computer to get phone numbers etc. This incident wasn't connected to the hotel in any way but be very careful with bags etc. Thanks Franco and Adrianno x
I choose this hotel for its proximity to the Botanical Garden. The Room was quite as requsted, AC in good order working well on external sundrenched City of Naples.Excellent BF and Courteous waiting staff. Italians can ask for a real Cappuccino and real freshly squeezed orange can be requested should oranges be available in the fresh fruits basket, Try the inhouse baked Pastiere always available on the buffet table.. I spent 6 nights on a solo trip, ;The Restaurant is open evening only, good value for money after all. ; courteous and efficient service. Next door try a good Neapolitan fish restaurant "Figlia del Marinaro" NOT Cheap (Pizza are available) In order to get free entrance to the Botanical Garden ask the concierge to phone them to announce your visit. This is a University enclave and visitor must be identified .
Apart from a slightly odd smell in the bathroom, the hotel is brilliant, anyone who criticises it's location is probably just lazy. We visited the gardens over the road and the national Archaeological Museum on foot (in 32 degree heat) . We had a couple of taxis take us to the rail station and to the coast (quite inexpensive and a better thrill ride than anything at Alton Towers!) There are tons of restaurants in easy walking distance and unfortunately for my waistline a most excellent cake shop less than 50 metres away. Breakfast was great with a huge variety, wait staff very helpful and friendly. A genuine piece of Neapolitan life at a very good price.
An excellent hotel. I stayed in room 408 at the front, opposite the botanical gardens with a small balcony and views up and down Via Floria. They have a roof terrace, with service from the ground floor bar. I found Franco the manager most interesting and helpful, speaking good English, leading an enthusiastic team. I will stay here again. It is next door to a fabulous Neopolitan seafood restaurant. I ate there several times but get there before 8pm or after 11pm to avoid large queues, last orders at about 11.45.
