Mercure Napoli Centro Angioino

The Mercure Hotel in Naples can be a little deceiving. When you stop outside, you begin to wonder; however once inside the door, the hotel is very nice indeed. We had a lovely stay en route to Amalfi and again on the return journey. No hesitation in recommending.

Stayed there for four days and would definitively come back again. Very nice hotel, room was quiet and spatious, staff superfriendly and going out of their way to help me. I also liked the Restaurant, and enjoying breakfast on the outside terrace, even though the view was somewhat spoiled due to the nearby construction site. Location is also great, right next to the harbour and close to via toledo etc. WLAN worked fine, though many TV channels outside the italian ones did not.

This hotel is central to everything! Major attractions are between a 5-20 minute walk away, and transport if needed is close by. All members of staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. As I am a very light sleeper, we had requested a quiet room, and that was exactly what we got. (Room 521). Please note, the savings on the room rates are considerable if you book and pay at least 30 days in advance. We were very happy with this hotel and would definitely stay there again!

Average hotel that met our needs. We couldn't really open the curtains because the room had a view that looked right into an apartment and their laundry hanging on the balcony. The location worked well for us.

The hotel's benefits are that it is clean, modern, and located near the harbor where ferry services are just around the corner and so you don't have to take a taxi through the crowded streets as there is tons of traffic in order to come into and get out of the city. The rest is completely walkable. And don't be discouraged, opposite of what most think, Naples is very safe. There are things to see in this city that you may not know, such as the restaurant where Margherita pizza was invented, an old umbrella maker's studio where you can get a one of a kind umbrella and the famous lovely square of San dominico di Maggiore where you will find the nightlife and eateries of the city all in one area. Naples is genuine, warm with the love and energy of its people and Mercure was lovely. My only problem with the hotel is that they don't leave there terrace open for guests throughout the day. It should be left open so people can go up and read or have coffee, drinks or food any time they like. Our room had a window that looked out at nothing, so it should be the obligation of the hotel to allow their guests to enjoy the view of the harbor any time they wish.

If you have the room 527, just runaway. I just had the worst night experience in a Mercure Hotel. I have been in Mercure a couple of times and that's maybe the last one. First the room, would be more a IBIS room than a Mercure one. The bathroom are below average and the bed is making some noise. I would not judge this but when it comes to sleeping, that another story. I could not sleep all night long because of the ventilation noise, much higher than any noise regulation. I arrived late, around 10 and I was very tired so I put the air conditioning and I manage to get some sleep until 5 where I was too cold and I had to turn it off. Then, the room stared to shake and it is actually shaking many times. WHAT IS THAT? Honestly, it is a shame. I tried to call reception and I got the VOICEMAIL! How that is even possible, in a hotel at 7 am in the morning? And then you dare put MERCURE guarantee? I want my money back.

Booked one of their last rooms the day before arrival in Naples. We arrived late and went to the roof top bar as they were closing. They stayed open late so we could have a drink and enjoy the amazing view of the castle. The rooms were very quiet(appreciated after 18hr travel day) and super clean.

Excellent location easy to get to all the areas of interest , clean, well soundproofed room. Good breakfast, more cooked choice would have been nice as would a bar area. Helpful and courteous staff. Good chain hotel.

Rooms are soundproofed so excellent nights sleep. We stayed here 7 nights.Just a few minutes walk to Naples underground caves, shops, ferrys to nearby islands such as Capri, Procida & Ischia & the tour buses. Good breakfast & very friendly & helpful staff. Do ask for Francesco if you want a really safe, helpful & friendly taxi driver. Although there was just the 2 of us we were driven around in Mercedes people carrier visiting Sorento, Amalfi Coast Pompeii & many more places of interest.

The hotel is modern, clean, well located near port for ferries and airport bus. Staff was very helpful with walking and subway directions and making restaurant reservations. Breakfast on the second floor terrace looks out on a castle !!! What more can you ask?!?!
