Not good! Upon arrival found out that we'd made an error on the booking as we'd booked the upgraded deluxe room for 1 person instead of 2. For my wife to stay in the room we had to pay an extra 139 euros!! It's the same room and same everything, but just because my wife is staying we have to pay a rediculous additional cost. Everybody in Naples seem to be ignorant and angry, cars and bikes are beeping 24/7 so it's almost impossible to sleep in this hotel. The room was small and cramped, in fact I would say the room we had at premier inn at the airport was bigger! Not sure what was deluxe about this room. The bed was hard and uncomfortable and you could feel the springs in the very thin mattress. As we had to keep the windows closed due to the noise, we quickly became too warm so we tried the air conditioning which did not seem to work. I called down to reception and they sent somebody up to have a look. When he arrived he explained that the airconditioning works by season, so just because we were in early March the air conditioning would only blow out hot air and there was nothing we could do! So now we couldn't sleep due to noise and being overheated. On the third night we went down to check out the restaurant as it had been randomly closed the previous two nights. This was a joke, there were around 4 - 5 tables next to a mini bar, we had a look at the menu where there were two options for starter/main/dessert, none of which sounded appealing. The bathroom felt unclean, there were stains and bits of mould in all of the corners and on the bottom of the shower, I really dreaded showering. Location wise, you are relatively close to the main parts of naples which is the only advantage to this hotel.
The hotel is situated very near the touristic center. Within walking distance you are at the different tourist place and the cost line although you do not have the noise and busyness of the center. If you want to go to Pompeii, it is about 10 minutes from the bus station that will bring you there for euro 2. There are also some nice restaurants in the neighborhood. The rooms are are not so big but fine and clean. The breakfast is ok. Enough choice, but nothing special. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Good hotel for a city trip
We arrived before check in time on a Friday morning and the staff were really helpful and we were able to leave our bags in a secure room. The hotel was easy to find from the port where we were dropped by the airport bus. The location was excellent, in the heart of everything. We had a room on the third floor with an average view of the back streets from the balcony. The room was clean and very comfortable. A few niggles - one feature of the hotel was air conditioning but when asked how to work it we were told that 'central' won't allow it to go colder, only heats! My problem is not with the fact that there wasn't a/c but the fact that it was advertised and it was unavailable. Also, thought that there should be more than paper cups for the coffee and tea and we had to ask daily for the milk.
The location is superb. Close to metro, hop on busses, old centre and main attractions. Breakfast was good especially when the weather allows you to make use of the terace. The bathroom facilities are not good. We had a shower where the water was hardly available. The toilet smelled so that was not good. Reception though was nice.
First of all, I stayed at the Mercure for night instead of 2. Please do not get a room that is next to the street. I try to take a nap and all I could hear is the constant car horns blowing, etc. The location of the hotel is great but noise is awful. There is no real lobby in the hotel. Very tiny space. Plus side is that the hotel is very clean, rooms are a bit cram. This would be great hotel except for the noise.
The title sums it all pretty well. It's a well appointed standard Mercure hotel recognisable by just about feature it offers. The rooms are on the smallish side. The breakfast is reasonably good. The staff is putting efforts to do it all the right way. Opt for superior rooms.
We stayed for 2 nights as part of a week long stay in Italy. I thought the hotel seemed a little expensive per night but having stayed and seen the others i was looking at I am really glad I booked this one. The hotel is a very good standard, the room was clean and comfortable and the wi--fi is good. Close to the metro station which is good for getting about and linking to the Circumvesuviana for Herculaneum and Pompeii. The hotel is really close to the Castel nuovo which is impressive. The breakfast was good but not excellent, the hot food selection was minimal and didn't seem to be cooked enough for us. The staff were helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend.
A lovely hotel with comfy rooms, the staff were also really friendly and helpful making some great restaurant recommendations. The room was comfy, clean and good value. The hotel is in a lovely location on the Municipo square and close to the centre of Naples. We really enjoyed our stay here and can't thank the staff enough for their help and friendliness.
we had a 4 night stay in february . the front desk staff where very friendly and helpful ;they let us book in early.the room was very clean.with tea and coffee /tv /safe. we had a great breakfast .you could have a hot breakfast of beacon and eggs or cold one of cold meats /bread and fruit .
Rooms very small, some of which have a window overlooking a small passageway (therefore very gloomy). A warm welcom. In February, the bar and restaurant were only open on the Friday and Saturday evening . Very good breakfast.
