I travel to Naples every year to see my friends and I love being close to the historical centre of Naples. This hotel suited me just fine. Literally a 1 minute walk from Piazza del Plebiscito this hotel couldn't be more central. The hotel itself was modest. There is a small elevator. Attempts to modernise the hotel have been made however some remnants of previous concepts remain in the likes of very cumbersome looking AC units that sound like they may help the hotel take off. I stayed in a double room with my friend which was small but suited our needs. It is not a hotel to stay in all day. There is no lounge nor is there a coffee bar available. It is bare minimum requirements to a good standard. The room was clean and the bathroom was modern. Clearly, however clean they try and get it, the rooms are clearly not ventilated enough as there was some black mould in the bathroom but it's to be expected in the older buildings in the centre. Breakfast was a very basic continental style breakfast with cereal, croissants, juices (not fresh), bread for toasting and assortments of yoghurts, cheeses, conserves and charcuterie. The gentleman working there was very friendly and will make you a fresh coffee on request. Breakfast bar was on the roof in a sun terrace style room. Bit hot. Like a greenhouse. The bar was clean up front but the back of the bar itself was rather grotty looking. Needs a good scrub. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Always a smile and a hello. Overall I was happy with it despite some small issues with cleaning. But it served it's purpose, was central and the staff were friendly. So no problem. I would recommend this hotel for short stays. Price is reasonable. Appears disabled friendly access no stairs at the entrance. However slimline wheelchair might get in the lift. Motorised scooters would not fit. Lift does not have automatic doors. Contacting the hotel before hand would be essential for more information.
Rooms were decent, but the wifi only exists in the hallway. Also, the keys were faulty but when I asked for a new one the receptionist was exceptionally rude considering it was completely out of my hands. They only wanted to give one key per room, but with 4 people I think that is hardly reasonable. In addition a housekeeper left a sponge on our bathroom counter. Will not be coming back.
Great location, friendly staff, brilliant conference facilities We're here for a few days on business and were looked after from start to finish, staff friendly and happy and hotel is close to city centre
What i really liked about this hotel is its location its a 5 minutes walk from the metro station. its in via Chiaia and Toledo streets where all the shopping happens :). we stayed there for 2 days in a suit, the room was spacious, very comfortable bed and big bathroom. I also liked their breakfast it had many choices from cheese to sweets. the negatives in the hotel was that they had minor problems with their sewage systems, one time we used the Jacuzzi and stuff came out of it in the water that's it. it was disappointing that the guys at the receptionist barely spoke any English, that's why they weren't so helpful although they tried their best.
The bed is hard like a floor. We could not sleep all night. We took room on the first floor and it was very noisy from the building peer. The water tubes has very weird noise at night. The only good thing was the location.
Central location for access to the shops and Naples' tailors. Staff were helpful even before I arrived, helping to receive some packages I needed delivered. Good spacious rooms, and good bathrooms. Only quirk is that I stayed at the separate wing for a few days and it's a minor inconvenience to get in at night due to two security gates (need to buzz reception) so try to get a room in the main wing of the hotel. Can get a bit loud since it's close to the street if you're trying to get to bed early.
The hotel is just on the main shopping area of the city, via Chiaia, and just behind the royal Palace. We have been here one night for an early departure on the next day from the Naples Airport. The rooms are quiet nice all in a modern decor. The breakfast is served on the top floor and starts very early, comfortable for who needs to check out before. Once of the thing which they should improve is the front desk service, which were not helpfull and polite, pitty because relaly could be a great place to stay.
We tried to book one night in this hotel via their own website. Instead of offering us a price for that one night the system automatically switched to 3 nights several times. We wrote an email to have the one night confirmed but it bounced back maybe because their inbox was full - so we decided to call them (from Germany)! We submitted our credit card information and recieved a confirmation email for one night at the date we requested. After two weeks the hotel again asked for the credit card number, expirazion date, security code and "second paper". When we told them that we don't know what a second paper is and that they already have all information needed we went on our trip to Italy. We arrived at the hotel at around 7pm and were told that no room was available because the hotel wasn't sure wether we wanted to keep the reservation or not. In the next sentence they told us, that they sent an email at 6:30pm to inform us, that they don't have a room for us available. So they knew we were coming, they had our CC info and our okay to charge the card but waited till 30 min prior to our arrival to tell us that they have no room left. Upon arrival we asked them to book another hotel for us which seems to be their usual 2nd choice regarding to other reviews. Even though we had to book their rate which is 10 Euro higher than the internet price and we had to take a room with breakfast, the guy from mh hotel offered us a free breakfast in his hotel - which of course is a pretty much pointless offer since we already paid for the breakfast. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!!!
Nice hotel, in the heart of Naples. No dodgy side streets to walk through. 1 min walk to piazza plebisitio. Shopping on your doorstep. Room was modern though small. Spotlessly clean. Nice big shower.no view - just an inner courtyard, though is reflected in the price paid. It really is just a place to sleep though, no bar or lobby in the hotel - it's just a doorway on a busy pedestrian street. Breakfast was average though the coffee was excellent.
It claims to be a 'design' hotel. Nothing designer about this hotel. Room was smelly. Shower doesn't work. Drainage doesn't work. Location is very central- the only plus point.
