The hotel was as expected. The only bad things were. The listing said they had 32 inch TV's. They were 19 inch at best. The breakfast would have been ok, if we could have gotten any food. The young girl who was working there was always on here cell phone. I had to ask several times for coffee. Bread. Meat, cheese and finally on the last day there was nothing at all to eat. I asked her several times but she just kept texting on her phone. It's unfortunate that she is so bad at her job. I'd hate to be her, knowing I had 30 or 40 years left to be bad at something
Very charming Large room Helpful staff Directly across from the ruins
The hotel is located right across the street from the Ercolano archeological site. Staff at front desk and breakfast were welcoming. Breakfast was simple but adequate. The single bed was very uncomfortable - like sleeping on a wooden board, so comibed with inadequate soundproofing to the main street I had trouble sleeping (as the hotel was fully booked I didn't try to change rooms).
We were shocked at the location of the hotel - it's in a dirty, ugly part of Naples, yet it has lovely, lush, green gardens out back...totally unexpected! We stayed at the hotel because it's right down the street from Herculaneum, which we wanted to visit. The dinner was good, but weird. We were the only ones dining in a very large room with too much light and no music. The service was excellent, but the whole experience was just a bit weird (you had to be there to understand)!
