An excellent hotel. I stayed in room 408 at the front, opposite the botanical gardens with a small balcony and views up and down Via Floria. They have a roof terrace, with service from the ground floor bar. I found Franco the manager most interesting and helpful, speaking good English, leading an enthusiastic team. I will stay here again. It is next door to a fabulous Neopolitan seafood restaurant. I ate there several times but get there before 8pm or after 11pm to avoid large queues, last orders at about 11.45.
Our friends booked this hotel for a couple nights stay in Naples. The location is not ideal apart from visiting the excellent Botanical Gardens across the road. The rooms are adequate with good WIFI, The bathroom had plentiful supplies of hot water and the towels were good. Our safe would not function properly so I complained at reception and was told it would be fixed the next day I said I was not happy with that so we were given an override key. One of our friends likes two pillows and had raised the pillow with a towel, this was noticed and an extra pillow was there the next day. Breakfast was OK with machine delivered fruit juice and coffee. There was also cereal, yogurt, breads and cheese. When we were staying the was a group of schoolchildren who had breakfast in a separate room and whilst a bit noisy there that was the only time I heard them. There is a roof garden which is a pleasant place to have a drink. It's an OK modestly priced hotel but do check its location against places you want to visit as navigating Naples is not straightforward.
The hotel is situated in a relative good location to walk to the train station or the metro and the touristic center and archeological museum. We asked for a quiet room and got a corner small room very quiet in the 4 th floor. we were close to the nice rooftop to rest in the late afternoon after the trip and walk of the day.Monica and Sadam hussein gave us good information when we needed. we were 2 days in the city and the museums .We travelled by train 3 days to the interesting sites of Pompei and Vesuvio and by ferry to Sorrento and Capri.
The location isn't ideal. There wasn't much within walking distance of interest to us. However, the hotel staff more than made up for that! Especially the restaurant. The restaurant staff was friendly, attentive, and patient. The food was pretty good too. Our room was very large. The shower wasn't great; it was small and leaked a bit. The absolute BEST part of this hotel was the rooftop terrace. It was huge and had an excellent view. We spent every night up there and the restaurant staff will deliver drinks. Nice place
We stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of march. Really lovely hotel, our rooms were very clean and modern we even had a smart TV! The breakfast is a continental buffet which was very nice and we were happy they had English tea! We had dinner at the restaurant one night which was lovely! We absolutely loved all the staff they were very welcoming and helpful! The only downfall is the surrounding area as not many people speak any English so we had a job communicating especially in restaurants so my advice would be to learn some Italian! But this hotel is perfect if it's just for a base camp for sight seeing. Would definitely recommend!
I have stayed in a number of Italian hotels and found this to be one of the better ones for the price. Positives - Room was big, clean and with a decent shower room. Good breakfast with a wide choice of foods (cheesecake and jam tarts particularly nice!) Much better than a standard continental breakfast Local restaurants nearby Not far to the nearest metro station Negatives - Located on a very busy road. Had to have the windows, double glazed door and curtains closed to keep out the pollution (a problem all over Naples) which made the room quite dark Walls between rooms quite thin!
This hotel was a pleasant surprise for us in Naples. It was within waking distance from the train station. The organized chaos of the city hit us as we walked down cobblestone streets carting our luggage dodging cars and motor scooters. And trash and dog doodoo. Staff were nice, helpful, and rooms were clean with nice furnishings. Two fellows who work the bar and front desk were great conversationalist with us one night! I would highly recommend this hotel, the restaurant next door, which had excellent seafood and service, and the day excursion to Pompeii and the Amalfi coast. Well worth the trip for 85 euros per person. There are also many local, nearby coffee shops and pizza stops.
First of all, the hotel's location is not in the greatest part of Naples (sketchy at best). Secondly, the hotel was under construction so we had to listen to their jack hammering throughout the day. Finally, I have no idea how they managed to get a 4 star rating! The room we were in had mold on the ceiling (didn't get a picture of that), dust everywhere, duct taped together the room temperature, and fixtures that weren't even attached - just barely hanging in there). We were only there two nights, and it was two nights too long. Don't trust the website photos! We thought it was going to be a decent hotel but were wrong! Only giving it a rating of one because I had to select something (I would select "0" if I could).
It was our first stay during the trip to Italy and we did not know what to expect. It’s 4-star hotel and I believe there was a time when it deserved this rating but it’s past. I cannot complain on staff - they were kind and helpful but the hotel needs refurbishment - everything is just old, TV is tiny, they barely speak English and Italian is the only language they can use. Overall the stay was good but if you want quiet night better look for something else due to noise from the street. It’s worth mentioning that parking place will cost you extra (12 Euro for a day).
Don't do it, don't make the same mistake we did. Do not rely on the professional photos when deciding to stay at this hotel. Check out the much more accurate guest photos instead. They give a true picture of the condition. I don't mind an old hotel, it can be quaint & charming. However, someone gave up on this place a long time ago. It is dirty, smells bad, (especially in the elevator) and is in serious state of dis-repair. The mattress had stains and there was no mattress pad, just a sheet with a hole in it between me and whatever was on the bed. The smell of cigarette smoke from neighboring guest rooms was overwhelming too. I really could have done without the two days we stayed here and would NEVER recommend it to anyone.
