Very centrally located. The area is a little rough but we live in a similar type city.

We just spent one night there. Before we booked, we called to confirm there was AC on the property, since Naples was hot even during December. Well, they had. however, we were told that only heating was working during winter..... We were asked to open our windows and the street noise was unbearable. They offered us an inside room, really?, it would be even hotter, no window.... On top of that, there was zero internet signal in the room. ( we tried 4 devices), we complained and they were rough. In the end they only came to verify that the internet was ok in the hallway! . We literally, had to open the room's door and get close to the hallway to receive signal. The mattress had bumps. This is not a 4 stars hotel by any means, perhaps 1 or 2 stars by American standards.

Convenient to train station. Friendly, accommodating staff. Good breakfast in a beautiful setting. View rooms are great; non-view rooms are abysmal. This was our second stay there in 12 years, and we would stay there again.

When I got there, in front of the hotel, there are a few dozen shady people hovering the hotel as tourists come out. Before I got out of my taxi, my driver recommended me to go straight into the hotel and not go outside until the morning. When I woke up in the morning, I thought that "visual" would be phase out, but it didn't. Same people in the morning. The place was so bad that I ended up eating the cost for the 3 nights and booked another hotel. I usually don't do this, but it was that bad. And really felt unsafe to be honest. And I've lived in East LA. Lastly, as I was checking out, I told the guy that we had a change in plans and will be checking out a few days early. He questioned me and I kept it broad. I did ask him what the refund policy was and he said since I've checked in, there was none. Which I gladly accepted and expected. However, he still seemed upset and demanded me to pay the taxes and hotel fees immediately. Which I had I no issue with. He started saying all these fees, so I wrote them down to review with him so that we were on the same page. He didn't like that and got very upset. Eventually, I paid as expected and asked him to get a taxi for me. Once the taxi arrived, he explained the hotel policy again and asked us why we were leaving. I told him we just wanted a better location, which he seemed to finally accept. Unfortunately, the Taxi he got me was shady. The metered said $10.60 (which was about a 2 mile drive) and demanded $20 flat fee. :(

The neighborhood is really bad. Like lock door and go outside bad.

Hundreds of migrants occupy the street, especially at night. Hotel facilities are good, breakfast is good.

The hotel staff ware nice and very helpful. Very good breakfast (free). Very close to the train station. Actual physical location is a bit unpleasant (noisy, crammed with street markets and people).

Hotel was supposed to have restaurant but upon check in, was advised that they do not have one. We would have selected a different hotel if this fact had been accurately featured on [...].
