Avoid

My confirmation from hotels.com indicated that check-in time ends at midnight and that front desk staff will greet guests on arrival. I e-mailed the property in advance that I would be arriving at the airport shortly after 7pm and provided my flight details. This was acknowledged. Arriving at the property sometime after 8pm I knocked repeatedly on the locked front door, but nobody answered. With the help of a resident in the building, and later the proprietor of a nearby B&B, we telephoned the provided number for Altea Royale several times. Nobody answered. After eventually finding alternative accommodation for the night, I returned to Altea Royale the next morning and explained the problems. They apologized profusely and promised to provide a full refund. I accepted the apology and stayed there for the second night as booked. The story would end there - except Altea Royal have now reneged on their promise and are refusing to provide the promised refund. You can certainly find superior, professionally run accommodation nearby. Altea Royale simply cannot be trusted.

Fire netter i Napoli

Vi hadde fire netter i Napoli for å kjenne følelsen av byen og se bygninger borger og kirker. Altea Royale er et hotell med noen få rom som ligger i en gammel gård. Det er vanskelig å finne hotellet. Det er fint oppussete rom. Sengen er god og badet virket som det skal. Beliggenheten er god ettersom det bare er noen minutters gange til Gamlebyen. Det er kort vei å gå fra togstasjonen. Gamlebyen i Napoli er veldig travel med smale gater og tohjuls kjøretøy som kjører fryktelig fort. Det føles ikke trygt. Det er jo en del å se i Napoli. Utenom Gamlebyen, ligger de fleste severdighetene i nærheten av spanske bydelen. Det er grei Metro, men avstandene er overkommelige med spassering. Rosanna Uzzo er leder og kontaktperson for hotellet. Hun er tilgjengelig og svarer på henvendelser. Veldig serviceminded. Det er ikke betjent reservasjon. Totalt sett er det vel et greit forhold mellom pris og kvalitet på Altea Royal. Vi opplevde det var stille og rolig om nettene. Totalt sett fornøyd med oppholdet.
