Very close to the Nagoya station, thus a lot of shopping and food options nearby. The staff were very kind, they have a translator to help if you can't speak Japanese. Breakfast here was simple and healthy (I think) but better than I expected, the bread was actually really good. Everything was clean, and they offered daily room cleaning (unless you don't want that). The only thing was I felt the room was a little small - I have a medium suitcase and opening it in the room made it hard to open the bathroom door. Overall, no big problems, and I felt it was perfect for a solo traveller.

Newly opened, very clean. Staff are all new and have no English: checking in was initially a bit confused, however they did try very hard to help, using an interesting translation machine, and we eventually got there. Breakfast is basic but acceptable

Not sure why people have bad reviews. Breakfast was really good with really tasty pastry and egg (NOT just plain bagel like some North American hotels, but things like beef filled puff pastry and matcha green tea cake with cream filing). Staff was really friendly and enthusiastic.
